Error 101 gas boiler Ariston 24 ff, interpretation

The list of error codes starts with 101. If such a code is displayed on the equalizer (display) of the Ariston 24 ff device, this indicates overheating of the coolant. The failure occurs due to:

  • increased pressure in the area of ​​the gas valve;
  • insufficient speed of water movement (this problem arises due to blockages in the filter, scale, pump breakdown);
  • temperature sensor failure.

Error 103, 104, 105, 107. What to do

Errors 104, 103, 105 or 107 appear when the coolant flows incorrectly, there are obstacles in the movement, or as a result of deterioration in pressure. Difficulty in moving the carrier may be due to the presence of air pockets in the system.

There is a simple solution: for a 24 kW double-circuit boiler - hold down “Mode” for ten seconds; for Ariston Uno - hold “Reset” for about six seconds.

After these steps, the pumping apparatus will operate for five minutes, pumping out air without ignition. After the procedure, it is worth assessing the pressure level. The normal value is 1.2 Bar.

Error 108, how to fix it

Error 108 is caused by weak pressure in the heat exchanger, tank, pipes, mountings on the gas boiler, or the reasons indicated in the previous paragraph. Error code 108 means that it is worth inspecting the tank and other spare parts for leaks, and make sure that the membrane part in the expansion tank is in good condition.

Error code 109

Error 109 in Ariston indicates increased pressure (more than 3 Bar). To eliminate such a nuisance, you need to bleed the air (using a Mayevsky valve). The second cause of the 109th breakdown may be a broken heat exchanger that mixes water of different temperatures.

Error 302

Such a failure indicates a breakdown in communication between the display and the control board. Error 302 is caused by disconnection/oxidation of contacts. If such a malfunction occurs, you can try to repair the Ariston gas boiler yourself. To do this, you need to check the reliability of the contact connections and, if necessary, clean them.

Error 304

Error 501, what it means and how to fix it

Error 501 means that the device does not start due to lack of ignition flame. The heating unit can be turned on by correcting the following causes of failure:

  • lack of gas (you need to make sure it is present, open the gas valve);
  • control board failure;
  • violation of the electrode connection with the ignition control module;
  • breakdown of the ionization electrode (it is necessary to clean the contacts, check the correct placement of the comb: a distance of eight millimeters must be maintained between the parts);
  • reduction in the power of the smooth ignition system;
  • leakage of electric current (remove the breakdown in the electrical network: the voltage should be 10 V).

The boiler does not ignite, the display shows error 607

If an Ariston double-circuit gas boiler shows the numbers 607, the contacts of the fan relay have stuck together and it simply worked before ignition.

Error Sp1

Sp1 or 5p1 reflects failed ignition. At the same time, 5p2 indicates a repeated unsuccessful attempt to light the wick. Causes:

  • poor air flow;
  • oxidized ionization electrodes;
  • low gas pressure (it is difficult to immediately say why the pressure drops, so detailed diagnostics will be required).

Sp3, 5p3 (flame break)

If the wall-mounted gas boiler Ariston 24 gives one of the indicated designations (error sp3 or 5p3), there may be a problem with the flame. Eliminating the error of flame separation from an Ariston gas boiler is associated with cleaning the chimney. It is too clogged with dust and soot or is not arranged correctly, so the fire is immediately blown out or the so-called flame separation occurs.

Error 025

When the boiler shows error 025 constantly (it can also look like this: “e25”), this indicates that the maximum permissible temperature of the boiler has been exceeded (see the paragraph about the 101st error).

What to do if 6p2 lights up on the display

A light on the display showing error 6p2 or 6p1 tells the user that the room with the unit is not properly ventilated: either it is not ventilated enough or combustion products are not removed.

Error codes and malfunctions of the Chaffoteaux boiler

Error code 501 The Shafuto boiler does not ignite. There is no fuel flowing to the burner block. Presumably the shut-off valve is closed. The valve located on the gas supply line should be opened. When the initial switching is performed, air must be removed from the pipeline. Check the pressure of the gas supplied to the burner. The required pressure is about twenty Mbar. Very often, the failure is eliminated using a make-up tap, which is designed to fill the heating circuit with water. If the failure occurs again, then most likely there is a coolant leak. The circulation pump, primary heat exchanger, emergency overpressure relief valve, damaged gaskets, make-up valve and other components may leak. Leaks can be identified by inspecting hydraulic components and connections. Code 6P1 (607) Lack of traction. For proper and safe operation of the device, it is recommended to organize a draft to remove flue gases so that they do not enter the room. The smoke output is monitored electronically and if any problems occur, the draft sensor is triggered and the Chaffoteaux boiler will stop working. Probable reasons for the lack of draft: a narrowed diameter of the chimney duct, a design flaw, contamination with dirt, ice on the inner wall. Reducing the diameter of the outlet channel serves as a factor in reducing traction. The length of the chimney pipe has been exceeded. You must carefully read the instructions for using the device and check that the mandatory requirements are met. Too long a horizontal section of the smoke exhaust pipe can lead to a lack of necessary draft. Failure of the traction sensor - If you create a vacuum in the supply tube, you will hear a soft click. Poor contact between the pressure switch and the control board, condensation is present, as well as incorrect connection of the tubes to the pressure switch. The fan has a malfunction - The fan impeller is clogged. There is not enough lubricant on the fan shaft, and therefore it does not generate the required speed. There is no contact between the fan and the control board. Error code 5P3 (SP3) Ignition is not performed. This circumstance is displayed if there is no ignition or there is a burner flame failure. The main reason for the burner flame to fade is insufficient draft. Error 1P2 (103) Restriction of the circulation of heating line fluid in the Chaffoteaux boiler. Release excess air from the system through the bleeder valve. Circulation has disappeared. Check the resistance of the stator winding of the circulation pump motor for a break or short circuit. The water pump operates as usual, but the pressure is limited. Most likely, there are faults on the impeller. If damage occurs, the pump must be replaced. The pump does not spin, although the flow to it is satisfactory. We diagnose the pump, it may be jammed. Remove the plug, then rotate the rotor shaft of the electric motor. There is no power to the circulation pump. The control board is faulty. The boiler must be rebooted. If the problem persists, replace the control board.

117

This code is indicated in the list of errors in the Ariston BS 24 FF boiler. The 117th fault indicates improper water circulation. Solution: reboot the unit. An inspection is also needed to check the pump of the Ariston BS 24 gas boiler.

201

The 201st fault indicates a breakdown of the touch sensor for heated water or a short circuit. The electrical wiring needs to be replaced.

303

A failure of the control board is reflected as 303. The part needs to be replaced.

307, 308

With such symbols on the screen, a failure occurs in the electrical module. To reset the error, you need to briefly press the reset button.

601

When a boiler with an open combustion chamber does not want to start and displays “601”, this indicates that there is no draft. As soon as the reason disappears, after 12 minutes the system will work again.

604

Code 604 or a yellow light indicates a violation of the fan speed or a breakdown of the Hall sensor.

A01

The boiler does not turn on and shows error A01 when the auto-ignition malfunctions. This is possible if the voltage in the electrical network is poor (a stabilizer will help) or the socket is installed incorrectly (the phase needs to be changed to “0”).

E34

E34 is a breakdown of the pneumatic relay. The part needs to be replaced.

E108

Failure E108 occurs due to a decrease in pressure in the circuit. Solution: you need to increase the pressure.

Sp2

The designation Sp2 or 5р2 indicates the 2nd failed attempt to light the wick. This problem is caused by a number of factors:

  • reduction in gas pressure;
  • breakdown of the ionization sensor;
  • lack of air flow;
  • failure to remove gas combustion products.

You should check the gas valve, ventilation in the room, and the passage of the chimney.

1p1, 1p2, ip2

Designations such as 1p1, 1p2 or ip2 appear when there is no water or its circulation is incorrect. You must refer to the item “Error 108, how to fix it.”

6p1

This code indicates incorrect air intake and an incorrect smoke removal process.

Ariston gas boiler, other faults and methods for eliminating them

The Ariston heating unit can also produce other types of faults. It is worth briefly considering methods for eliminating them.

Heating circuit problems

How to turn on the heating? Typically, errors in the functioning of the heating circuit begin with the number “1”. If Ariston does not heat the batteries, in addition to those described above, the following designations are also found:

  • 102 - the pressure is broken or the sensor is broken (this is a consequence of poor electrical wiring, namely a short circuit; it can be solved by ringing the cable from the device itself to the main board);
  • 110 – temperature sensor is broken;
  • 111 – pressure is too low (see if water is flowing and if the sensor is working);
  • 112 – on return, the temperature sensor does not operate correctly (you should find the necessary spare part for the gas boiler and replace it);
  • 116 – interruptions in the operation of the heated floor thermostat (the TA2 jumper should be closed).

How to raise (add) pressure in a gas boiler

When the heating temperature jumps or the device stops heating water altogether, but does not indicate a malfunction, you need to check the pressure. If it is too weak (the technical specifications indicated in the operating manual will tell you what pressure is considered normal for the boiler), it should be increased.

To do this, you need to make a special additional device:

  • take a clean plastic bottle;
  • cut a thread on the lid so that you can attach a faucet to it;
  • drill a small hole in the bottom in which you need to secure the spool;
  • pour water into the homemade device;
  • close the tap;
  • connect the heating hose to it;
  • connect the pump to the spool;
  • pour water into the heating system by pumping the pump;
  • repeat the procedure until the pressure improves.

Hot water faults

When the lamp with the designation “90” and the symbol with a crossed out drop designation are illuminated, the heating device overheats and automatically turns off. You should check the serviceability of the pressure switch and where it is connected to the heating system.

The appearance of the inscriptions “60C”, “70C” or “80C” indicates the temperature (the numbers correspond to t in degrees Celsius) after the tap is closed. This is incorrect; you should check the operation of the pump and its control relay. In the event of a breakdown, the pump must be removed and replaced with a working one.

Electronics failures

The display of the number 301 means that the volatile memory (EEPROM board) is faulty. You should check the correctness of the key on the Ariston device board in accordance with the user instructions.

If Ariston does not turn on, and there is no sign with symbols on it, the three-way valve may need to be repaired.

To make sure that the problem is in this part and it needs to be replaced, you should remove the servo drive from it, after first removing the bracket. If everything is normal with the valve, after such manipulations it will switch to hot water supply mode, but will no longer work as a radiator.

Flame and ignition control

When the Ariston BS II 15FF gas boiler turns on and goes out, it is recommended to check the fire sensor. There is no screen on this heating device, so you won’t be able to rely on the codes. Wipe the flame sensor with fine sandpaper and then with a clean cotton cloth. Inspect the wire leading from the sensor to the board for integrity.

If the specified unit, after several ignitions and extinguishments, randomly turns on/off, it is worth checking whether there is enough fresh air flow. You will need to remove the housing cover by unlatching the fasteners. Then you should remove the casing from the heat exchanger and combustion chamber and try to start the Ariston heater again. The device is working - an error in a poorly equipped or too dirty chimney.

Ariston boiler - error 108

Failure of heating system units usually occurs at the most inopportune moment. At first glance, a gas boiler is a very complex device that can only be repaired by a trained gas service technician with experience, knowledge and manufacturer accreditations.

However, to quickly identify the cause, it is not necessary to study to become a gas technician. If an error occurs with an Ariston gas boiler, the system recognizes the problem and displays a fault code on the screen. In most cases, you can find a malfunction and adjust the heating yourself.

Heating circuit problems (error 1**)

For boilers with the Ariston logo, all error codes are grouped by node. For each case, you can determine the most likely causes of the problem and ways to solve it. It should be noted right away that not all faults can be fixed with your own hands.

The heating circuit is an integral part of the heating system. The gas boiler reacts to the behavior of the coolant and provides the user with information about emerging problems. Their solution can be related to both the boiler and the circuit elements.

If a malfunction occurs, an error code is displayed on the LCD screens of modern gas boilers. This is much more convenient than counting the number of blinks of LED lights as on older models

Error No. 101. Occurs when the coolant in the primary heat exchanger overheats and boils, when the temperature at the NTC1 sensor exceeds 102 °C.

This issue occurs in the following cases:

  • Excessive maximum pressure within the gas valve, resulting in excessive heating. This setting needs to be adjusted.
  • Low coolant movement speed. The problem may be caused by a clogged filter, the formation of restrictions from scale, or a breakdown of the built-in circulation pump. These problems need to be checked and corrected.
  • Failure of the temperature sensor. In this case, it needs to be replaced.

Error No. 102. Pressure sensor readings are outside the permitted range. This can be caused either by a problem with the pressure in the circuit or by a breakdown of the sensor itself.

The latter situation usually occurs as a result of wiring problems such as a short circuit or open circuit. It is necessary to ring the wire from the device to the central board.

You can ring the sensor itself with an ordinary tester. The resistance should be minimal - 1-2 Ohms. If it is missing at all, then the sensor will definitely have to be changed

Errors No. 103-107 occur at extreme values ​​of coolant temperature. The system reaction occurs when analyzing the temperature in two places - at the water supply to the circuit and at the return point:

  • № 103. 3 times within 4 minutes the rate of increase in the supply temperature exceeds 7 °C / sec.
  • № 104. An increase in one of the indicators by a value exceeding 20 °C per second was recorded.
  • № 105. The coolant supplied to the circuit is 55 °C hotter than the return flow. The problem was recorded 3 times in 4 minutes.
  • № 106. The return temperature is 10 °C higher than the supply temperature. Recorded 3 times within 4 minutes.
  • № 107. The return temperature is 30 °C higher than the supply temperature. Recorded once.

Considering that the temperature sensor has a simple design and, in fact, there is nothing to break, all that remains is to identify and eliminate the problem with insufficient coolant movement.

It may be caused by the following:

  • Airiness of the heat exchanger or heating circuit. You may have to check the entire route for traffic jams.
  • Filter clogged. This part needs to be cleaned or replaced.
  • Pump fault. Replacement or repair of the device.

Error No. 108 is displayed according to the readings of the minimum pressure switch. It can be caused by the same reasons that are typical for errors No. 103-107. In addition, there may be a breakdown of the sensor or the wiring to it, as well as depressurization of the circuit and partial leakage of water.

If a leak occurs, the pressure in the system will drop. The gas boiler will stop on its own, which distinguishes it from its solid fuel counterpart or ordinary stove

Error No. 109 occurs when there is a problem with excess pressure - more than 3 Bar. This can happen if the make-up valve is not completely closed. For further work, it is necessary to drain some of the water to reduce the pressure in the circuit.

Error No. 110. Failure or simple wear of the temperature sensor. First of all, you need to check the contacts and integrity of the wire. If they are ok, then you will have to replace the sensor itself.

Error No. 111 occurs when the pressure in the circuit is below the permissible level. The factory settings for this parameter for Ariston boilers are 0.4 Bar. The sensor may be damaged or water may leak from the circuit.

Error No. 112. Problem with the return temperature sensor. You need to check its contacts or replace the sensor.

Error No. 114. Problem with the outside temperature sensor. You need to check its contacts or replace the sensor.

Error No. 116. Triggering (opening) of the thermostat for the safe operation of the heated floor. You need to close jumper TA2 on the main board. If the operation occurs again, then there are problems in the underfloor heating system. Usually this is the presence of an air lock.

Error No. 117. On some older models, there is control of the difference in temperature values ​​at the inlet and outlet 8 seconds after the start of operation. The boiler will stop if the heating does not start. Possible problems and ways to solve them are the same as for errors No. 103-107.

A clogged water filter causes problems with water circulation. This leads to boiler shutdowns and also has a bad effect on the pump.

Sometimes the indicator shows codes 1P1 – 1P4. These are not errors, but warnings that signal one-time sharp temperature changes. Such effects sometimes arise due to hydrodynamic processes characteristic of flowing hot liquid in a narrow stream. You shouldn't pay attention to them.

Hot water supply faults (error 2**)

These types of faults occur in Ariston double-circuit gas boilers. For hot water supply, the safety system is autonomous, which allows you to quickly identify the problem.

Many Ariston boiler models support the ability to connect a solar system as an alternative energy source for hot water supply. Therefore, some errors and warnings of the “2**” series are related to the operation of solar panels.

Error No. 201. Problem with the power supply to the temperature sensor - open or short circuit. It is necessary to eliminate the breakdown of the electrical wiring.

Errors No. 202-205 are related to the operation of the sensors. When the signal stops coming from them or it behaves unpredictably (sudden jumps in data), then these errors are triggered:

  • № 202. Problem with the boiler or solar system sensor.
  • № 203. Problem with NTC temperature sensor.
  • № 204-205. There is a problem with the temperature sensor that records the operating values ​​of the solar collector.

To solve problems No. 202-205, you need to check the contact density. If this is not the case, then you will have to replace the faulty sensor.

Error No. 206. Problem with the cold water temperature sensor in the solar system. The solution is the same as for errors No. 204-205.

The temperature sensor is easier to replace than to clean. They are inexpensive, and they are easy to find, since parts with standard parameters are installed in the boilers

Error No. 207. Overheating of the solar thermostat. This may be caused by solar energy not being used to heat the water. Then the collector must be turned off. This malfunction can also occur when the thermostat breaks down. In this case, it will need to be replaced.

Error (warning) No. 208. Insufficient heating in the solar circuit. There is a risk of the coolant freezing. Turns on when the anti-freeze function is activated. Part of the energy from the gas will be used to heat the collector.

Error (warning) No. 209. Overheating of water in the boiler connected to the boiler. There may be a problem with the thermostat or its contacts.

Electronics failures (error 3**)

Such complex modern equipment as gas boilers are equipped with electronics for automatic operation and response to different situations. Control boards can fail as a result of aging, power surges, excessive humidity, or mechanical damage.

Error No. 301. Problems with the EEPROM board (non-volatile memory) of the display. If such a message appears, you need to check whether the EEPROM key is installed correctly on the motherboard. This must be done as described in the user manual for the corresponding model.

If the key works correctly, then you need to check the contacts of the cable from the motherboard to the display board. There may also be a problem with the LCD screen itself. Then it will have to be replaced.

The display is connected to the board using a cable. If the boiler is working and the screen goes out, then first of all you need to check the quality of the connection. Naturally, with the power completely off

Error #302 is a special case of the previous problem. Both boards pass the test, but the connection between them is unstable. Usually the problem is a broken cable core that will have to be replaced. If it is ok, then the fault is on one of the boards. They can be removed and taken to a service center.

Error No. 303: Main board faulty. Rebooting usually does not help, but sometimes it is enough to turn off the boiler from the network, wait and turn it on again (this is the first sign of aging capacitors). If this problem becomes regular, the board will have to be replaced.

Error #304: More than 5 reboots in the last 15 minutes. Talks about the frequency of problems that arise. You need to turn off the boiler, wait a while and turn it on again. You should monitor it for some time to identify the type of warnings if they occur again.

Error No. 305. Program crash. You need to let the boiler stand off for a while. If the problem persists, you will have to reflash the board. This must be done at a service center.

Error #306 : Problem with the EEPROM key. The boiler needs to be restarted. If the error repeats, you will have to change the board.

Error No. 307. Problem with the Hall sensor. Either the sensor itself is faulty, or there is a problem on the motherboard.

Error No. 308. The combustion chamber type is incorrectly set. You need to check the installed combustion chamber type in the menu. If the problem is not resolved, then the EEPROM key may be installed incorrectly or the motherboard may be faulty.

Error No. 309. Registration of flame after blocking the gas valve. In addition to a malfunction of the motherboard (it will have to be replaced), there may be a problem in the ignition unit - loose closing of the gas valve or a malfunction of the ionization electrode. If the problem is in the electrode, then you can simply try to dry it.

Communication with peripheral devices (errors 4**)

The screen of Ariston geysers displays error codes for standard peripheral devices. This was done in order to explain the reaction of the boiler automation to an emergency situation. In this case, the consumer will be able to try to fix the equipment breakdown or conflict on his own.

Error No. 401. Communication problem between the bus and the data transfer device. It can be caused either by a malfunction of the device itself or by damage to the bus. Repairs are only possible at a service center.

Error No. 402. GRRS/GSM modem malfunction. You need to check its connection or replace the device.

Error #403: SIM card problem. The contact has come loose or the card itself is damaged.
