Error codes for Arderia gas boilers - malfunctions and what to do to eliminate them

Who is the manufacturer

The ARDERIA boiler brand appeared on the Russian market relatively recently, 12 years ago, then a joint Russian production was created with the South Korean company DAYSUNG SELTIC, first in the form of an OEM project with adaptation to Russian heating equipment, then the SAUDI CERAMIC line and Bulgarian ELDOM were added. and Italian "ELBI".

In 2015, the ARDERIA company in Russia expanded with new production facilities, a logistics and support technical complex with a modern laboratory, all of this is located at 6.5 thousand. m2 in the Krasnodar village of Enem.

Specifications

The Arderia line of gas boilers is presented with one or two circuits with a power from 10 to 40 kW. They are capable of heating a house with an area of 60 to 400 m2 and preparing hot water for a family of 4-6 people. The units integrate well into Russian engineering networks, although to protect electronic boards, it is recommended to install stabilizers along the electrical line.

Arderia boilers are energy-efficient devices, the efficiency reaches 90.5-91.7%. This is ensured by a modern thermal process and the use of auxiliary equipment: a DC blower fan and a centrifugal circulation pump.

Design characteristics of ARDERIA devices:

  1. Heated area, from 60 to 400 m2;
  2. Dimensions (WxDxH), 460x205x700 mm.
  3. Weight, from 23 to 26 kg.
  4. Efficiency, from 90.5 91.7 to% 91.1 90.4 91.3 91.7.

Other faults

Let's consider what to do in case of malfunctions when no error is displayed on the screen:

  1. If you smell a distinct smell of gas, immediately turn off the boiler and all electrical appliances and turn off the gas valve. After this, call the gas service, which will have to check the gas pipeline and the boiler itself. Be sure to open the window and listen carefully, as there is a danger of carbon monoxide poisoning.
  2. After turning on the device, the fan starts working, but the flame does not appear in the burner. The mains voltage may be too low. You can check this with a voltmeter. To eliminate this problem, install an additional voltage stabilizer.

It is also important to inspect the chimney for blockages and foreign objects. This can also be caused by a malfunction of the air pressure switch and a lack of tightness in the combustion chamber.

  • If the flame is red or yellow during operation, the burner is most likely clogged. It is necessary to disassemble the housing and clean the injectors. This effect also occurs when the gas valve is set incorrectly.

  • If warm water does not flow from the tap for a long time, this does not always mean a malfunction of the hot water supply. Since in the absence of water supply the water in the system cools down, in any case, time must pass before heating.
  • When the boiler often turns off on its own while using hot water, this may be due to the fact that the pressure in the water supply is initially too low. The minimum pressure required for correct operation of the equipment is 1.5 bar.

Design and principle of operation of Arderia boilers

The operation of the units is fully automated and has several levels of protection. The gas boiler has two heat exchangers on the heating circuit made of copper, and in the DHW system - made of steel.

The first main heating circuit, water is supplied through the boiler by a centrifugal circulation pump, which is controlled by temperature sensors in the apartment or outdoors, with weather-dependent automation. They give a signal to increase/decrease the speed of rotation of the pump impeller and, accordingly, the speed of movement of heated water along the heating circuit. It must be equipped with a high pressure relief valve and an expansion tank.

The second circuit begins to operate when the hot water tap on the mixer is opened; in this case, the DHW heat exchanger has heating priority if a three-way valve is installed in the circuit.

Flue gases obtained from burning fuel in the furnace enter the central barrel of the coaxial chimney; air is sucked through the outer ring by a blower fan onto the burner distribution nozzle. Moving along the hot central pipe, the air is heated through the wall by the exhaust gases, which increases the efficiency of the equipment and, accordingly, increases the efficiency.

Arderia boiler error codes

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Error A6 (A7) No ignition. Gas does not flow to the burner device. Most likely the shut-off valve is closed. We recommend opening the tap located on the gas line. When the Arderia boiler is turned on for the first time, air must be removed from the pipeline. Check the pressure of the gas supplied to the gas burner unit. Nominal pressure from 18 to 20 Mbar. In addition, check the accuracy of the adjustments of the lowest and highest fuel pressure on the injectors. The adjustment values are specified in the user manual. If necessary, adjust the boiler. The gas valve is inoperative. If damage is detected, the gas valve needs to be replaced. The ionization electrode functions intermittently or is broken. Inspect it for the presence of carbon deposits. Adjust the distance between the burner assembly and the flame control electrode, if required. Gas device malfunction. Check the gas valve coils for possible open or short circuits. If there is any damage, replace the gas valve. The gas valve is stuck. Place a piece of hose onto the fitting located in front of the valve and create increased pressure. There is not enough power to ignite. Adjust the ignition power using the service menu. Non-functional or faulty control board. The ignition transformer is not functioning. Reset the device. If error A6 (A7) recurs, the electronic board must be replaced. Perform a grounding test. The case must not have a charge. Excess condensation can cause the unit to block. Clean the combustion chamber, ionization electrode and gas burner from condensation. Incorrect operation of the ionization electrode. The control board detects a flame, but no combustion is observed. Inspect the ignition electrode cable. Wear and tear may be present. The integrity of the electrical circuit from the control board to the ignition electrode is diagnosed for the presence of a short circuit. The ionization electrode touches the gas burner. The control board is damaged. It is recommended to change it. Error AA (A4) The Arderia boiler has overheated. The emergency thermostat has a temperature of more than 105C. If there are no ignition messages at present, then error AA (A4) is not identified. The gas burner goes out due to a rise in the temperature of the heating circuit, although the heat exchanger does not stop heating. In heating mode 90 degrees, in hot water phase 95 degrees. The automation interrupts the operation of the boiler if, within 10 seconds, the temperature of the safety thermostat rises above 105 degrees. When the thermostat sensor registers a temperature of more than 105 C in heating or frost protection mode, the Arderia boiler electronics will pause for an average of 30 seconds. If during such a period the temperature of the NTC heating sensor and safety thermostat cannot drop to hundreds of degrees, the electronics indicate an error. The unit may be switched off during a request to ignite the burner device. If during the ignition stage the safety thermostat registers a temperature above 105 degrees, the boiler will enter standby mode for 10 seconds, and only after this does it indicate a malfunction. The heating temperature sensor or overheating thermostat turns on, stopping the functions of the device. The protective thermostat will turn on at temperatures above 105 C. You will need to wait until the device has cooled down and restart it by pressing the reset button. Inoperability or malfunction of the thermostat due to overheating. Replace it. Insignificant circulation of heating line coolant. For the main circuit, take pressure measurements. Its values in an unheated system are 1.2 bar. There is air in the heating line. Release excess air from the system through the bleed valve. Lack of circulation. Fully open the shut-off elements that impede the proper circulation of water. The smoke exhaust thermostat has overheated. you need to wait until the thermostat sensor cools down, then a reboot is performed. Error A3 The circulation pump is not functioning properly. The pump stopped reaching the required speed. Inspect the voltage and characteristics of the electrical supply. If voltage surges are detected in the electrical network, the boiler is connected to the network using a stabilizer. Check the resistance in the stator winding of the circulation pump motor for damage or short circuit. The circulation pump operates normally, although the pressure is insufficient. Presumably, there is damage to the impeller. If damage is found, the pump must be replaced. The pump does not rotate, although the inflow to it is stable. We look at the pump, obviously it is jammed. Unscrew the plug, then rotate the motor rotor shaft. There is no power to the circulation pump. Problems with the control board. the boiler will need to be restarted. If the failure occurs again, replace the control board. Error code AB There is a problem with the heating circuit temperature sensor. There is a fault in the electrical circuit or a short circuit in the temperature sensor of the heating circuit. When the electrical circuit of the temperature sensor is broken, the signal is not received, as a result of which the electronic board sends a message to suspend the operation of the burner device. AC error The DHW temperature sensor is faulty. If there is a break or short circuit in the electrical circuit of the hot water temperature sensor for 5 seconds, the burner unit does not light up during the hot water preparation stage. The Arderia boiler continues to operate in the heating cycle. Damage to the hot water supply thermistor. Code A5 Code A5 indicates low pressure inside the system. The main reasons preceding this failure: a decrease in coolant pressure in the heating system. The contact between the control board and the minimum pressure switch is broken. Failure of the minimum pressure switch. First you must know the results of the pressure gauge reading. Very often the problem is eliminated using a fill valve, which is designed to add liquid to the system. If the problem recurs, there may be a fluid leak. The circulation pump, primary heat exchanger, safety valve, worn gaskets, make-up valve and other parts may leak. Leakage is determined visually by inspecting hydraulic components and connections. Error code AE (A2) Insufficient traction. For stable and safe operation of the device, it is necessary to organize a draft to remove combustion products so that they do not enter the room. The smoke output is monitored by electronics, and if certain problems occur, the draft sensor will work and the device will stop working. The main reasons contributing to the lack of draft: insufficient size of the chimney channel, inaccuracy during installation, contamination, icing of the inner wall. Reducing the size of the chimney entails a lack of draft. The length of the chimney pipes is exceeded. It is recommended that you carefully study the installation instructions for the Arderia boiler and comply with the relevant requirements. The large length of the horizontal section of the chimney pipe leads to a lack of necessary draft. Damage to the traction sensor - When a vacuum is applied to the supply tube, a soft click will be heard. There is no contact between the control board and the draft sensor, condensation is present, as well as incorrect connection of the tubes to the pneumatic relay. Damage to fan parts - The fan impeller is clogged. There is no sufficient lubrication on the fan shaft, and therefore the required speed is not generated. The contact between the control board and the fan is broken. Error code A8 Ignition does not occur. This code can be issued when there is no ignition or there is a flame separation. It is recommended to check the connections between the ignition unit and the flame electrode, as well as between the control board and the gas valve. The main factor in the burner flame separation may be unsatisfactory draft.

Arderia error codes

The boiler has a modern diagnostic system for the current state of the unit, with error codes displayed on the operating panel. All errors are marked with the letter A followed by a number that characterizes the cause of the failure. Using the factory operating instructions, the user can independently figure out why it is not working and what needs to be done to repair the boilers.

Arderia boiler errors:

  • A2 - low fan rotation speed, debris may have gotten under the impeller.
  • A3 - malfunction of the feed pump, perhaps debris has gotten under the centrifugal wheel, bad contacts in the wiring. Possible error in the operation of the temperature sensor. If the primary device is working properly, the pump will need to be replaced with a new one.
  • Error A4 - the overheating sensor has tripped: there is no coolant circulation, the three-way valve is faulty, the flow sensor is faulty.
  • Error A5 - low pressure in the heating circuit: air lock, break in the heating circuit, circulation pump does not work, valves on the heating line are blocked.
  • Error A6 - malfunction in the ignition system: low gas pressure, gas shut-off valve is faulty.
  • A7 - a problem with the control valve; there may be a failure in signal transmission from the primary sensors.
  • A9 - the temperature in the heating circuit is below 5 C, you will need to start it manually.
  • AA - boiling water in the heating circuit or DHW heat exchanger; most likely there is no circulation through the heating system or the pipe surfaces are clogged with scale.

Errors in gas boilers Arderia (Arderia) and methods for eliminating them

Any gas boiler needs regular maintenance and preventive measures. It happens that the causes of problems are external factors: low pressure in the line, voltage drops, etc.

We recommend: How to install a check valve and safety valve on a water heater: the design and principle of operation of a check valve

Malfunctions of Arderia gas double-circuit wall-mounted boilers are detected in the form of codes on the screen. Their decoding is available in the operating instructions.

Error codeCauseHow to fix
A1Short circuit of the air pressure sensor (blowing out the chimney). Usually occurs when the smoke exhaust channel is clogged or reverse draft occurs. You should inspect whether the chimney is clogged with debris or whether ice has formed on it, which is preventing smoke from escaping and air flowing to the burner.
Check for the presence of reverse draft; if there is any, the cause of the occurrence should be identified. Perhaps you need to put a deflector on the pipe or change the design of the chimney
A2The fan rotates slowly.
Appears due to a malfunction of the element, a break in its wiring
It is necessary to check the operation of the fan, whether anything is interfering with it. If necessary, clean the part from debris. ...Perhaps ice has appeared at the end of the coaxial pipe, preventing smoke from escaping from it
A3Problems with the circulation pump and its sensor
Often occurs if the pressure sensor is clogged
You should check the sensor wiring and diagnose the pump.
If necessary, clean and connect the wires
A4The overheating sensor has tripped.
The reasons are as follows:
  • pump failure;
  • 3-way valve failure;
  • failure of the DHW flow sensor.

All heating system shut-off valves may be closed

Clean filters from clogs.
Unblock the circulation pump and clear its visible parts of debris.

Open shut-off valves.

Check the functionality of the three-way valve and the DHW flow sensor.

Replace broken items

A5Low coolant pressure.
Possible reasons:
  • lack of fluid in the heating system;
  • air jams;
  • malfunction of the circulation pump or flow sensor
There may be a leak in the heating system. All radiators and pipes should be checked for its presence.
It is necessary to remove air pockets using Mayevsky taps.

The speed of the circulation pump impeller should be adjusted.

Replace faulty elements

A6There is no ignition. The smoke exhaust pipe is blocked.
Usually the reasons are:
  • low gas pressure;
  • malfunctions of the gas valve or transformer;
  • blocking of the gas duct
You should check the fuel pressure in the line, and if it is low, inform the gas supply company
A7Problems with the gas valve.
Usually the cause is a control board failure
Diagnostics of the gas valve and its wiring.
If necessary, replace the broken part with a new one
A8There is a residual flame in the combustion chamber, although no voltage is supplied to the gas valve.
The reason lies in a malfunction of the gas valve diaphragm
If the valve diaphragm is faulty, it must be replaced. If this does not help, you should change the control board
A9Freezing - the coolant temperature has reached
5ºC
If the unit does not start automatically, you should turn it on
AABoiling – the temperature of the liquid in the system has exceeded the permissible limit.
This may have happened for the following reasons:
  • shut-off valves are closed;
  • filters are clogged;
  • There is a problem with the circulation pump or three-way valve.
The valves should be opened.
Clean filters from debris.

Check the functionality of the pump and three-way valve

AND YOUThermostat malfunction.
Perhaps the reasons are as follows:
  • short circuit;
  • loose thermostat connection
Diagnostics of thermostat contacts and the unit itself.
Cleaning the contacts and connecting them to the thermostat.

Replacing a faulty element

AESmoke exhaust is difficult.
It mainly occurs as a result of a clogged chimney or its deformation.
The chimney pipe needs to be cleaned

Models of gas boilers Arderia B10, B14, B16 have different error codes. Let's look at what they mean and how to troubleshoot.

E0 – antifreeze mode. This code is displayed on the screen if the coolant temperature drops below +1°C. It is necessary to check the integrity of the system in which the liquid circulates. The error disappears if the coolant is heated. If it still hasn't disappeared, call a professional.

Code E1 indicates an ionization sensor error. This occurs when there is no expected flame. Appears as a result of unsuccessful ignition of the unit or after the flame fails during operation.

E2 – pressure sensor error. Appears as a result of weak draft, which is caused by malfunctions of the sensor or fan. The unit will attempt to return to normal operation for 15 minutes. Check the chimney and the presence of draft in it. If the error does not disappear after 15 minutes, contact the service center technician.

E3 – overheating thermostat error. Occurs when there is no coolant or its movement in the heating system. The circulation pump may be faulty. You should also check all valves and lines of the system. You can remove the lock using the MODE button. If this does not help, contact customer service.

E4 – overheating of temperature sensors. Appears on the screen due to the lack of fluid in the system or its circulation. Check the valves and heating pipe. The lock is released using the MODE button.

E5 – temperature sensor error. Appears when the cold water sensor is faulty. Turn off the hot water and wait. The lock can be released by pressing the MODE button. Code E6 – DHW sensor error. Appears when the DHW sensor is faulty. Close the hot water taps to normalize the heating system. The lock is released using the MODE button.

E7 – problem with the temperature sensor. Displayed when the heating circuit temperature sensor fails. Typically, this code appears when communication with the sensor is lost. When it gets better, the problem disappears.

E8 – indicates the presence of residual fire (ionization sensor error). Occurs if there is still fire in the combustion chamber or as a result of a sensor error. Unlock using the MODE button. If the error occurs again, contact customer service. E9 means pressure sensor error. Appears when fluid pressure is low or absent. You should check the system for leaks or adjust the speed at which the pump pumps coolant. It is necessary to eliminate any identified leaks or adjust the pump operation.

The fan starts working, but the flame does not appear

The air pressure switch does not work. Blocking the chimney. Leak in the combustion products exhaust system. The combustion chamber is not sealed. Power supply voltage is below 170 V. Install a voltage stabilizer

Incorrect combustion: flame color yellow or red

The burner is dirty. Incorrect functioning of the chimney. Incorrect gas valve setting.

Long waiting time for hot water

Since in the absence of water supply the water in the DHW pipe cools down, some time must pass before hot water appears from the tap.

The Arderia boiler often turns off: due to excessive temperature (error A4) or low pressure in the heating system (error A5).

Insufficient pressure, leaks or circulation problems in the heating system. It is necessary to check that the pressure in the heating system is within 1-1.2 bar, and that there are no leaks in the system. Checking the circulation in the heating system must be carried out by authorized personnel.

Presence of air in the heating system. Remove air.

Insufficient air pressure in the boiler expansion tank. Raise the air pressure in the tank to 1.0 bar - at zero pressure in the heating system.

The boiler pump shaft is blocked. The boiler pump is faulty. You need to call an authorized specialist.

Frequent spontaneous shutdowns of the boiler in DHW mode

Insufficient cold water pressure at the boiler inlet.

Ensure that the cold sanitary water inlet pressure is at least 1.5 bar. When using an individual water supply system with a hydraulic accumulator and uneven pressure, it is recommended that the pump turn on pressure be at least 2.0 bar.

Hot water flow too low. Do not set the water flow below 2 l/min, as this will trigger the DHW flow sensor and subsequently turn off the water heating. Random opening and closing of water taps respectively starts and stops the water heating process, which can lead to an increase in waiting time for hot water.

Fluctuations in hot water temperature

The simultaneous use of several hot water consumption points makes water consumption unstable. To reduce temperature fluctuations, do not use more than one hot water tap at a time.

The boiler burner does not turn on (error A6)

The power cord is not connected - connect the power cord. No gas supply - open the gas supply valve. The water temperature is set too low - set the temperature to a higher temperature using the regulator.

The appearance of strange sounds during boiler operation

There is air left in the pipes - bleed the air. Repeat filling the boiler with water. All shut-off valves are closed - open the shut-off valves. The Arderia boiler is not attached to the wall correctly - secure the boiler correctly. If the noise does not disappear, call a specialist from the service center.

The room does not warm up to a comfortable temperature

The boiler is operating in DHW mode - turn on the heating mode. The coolant temperature is set too low - set a higher temperature using the regulator. The shut-off valve in the heating circuit is closed - locate and open the valve. One or more taps in the heating circuit are not fully open - check all taps. Open partially closed ones. The boiler filter is clogged - clean the filter. There is air left in the pipes - bleed the air. Repeat filling the boiler with water.

No DHW

Clean the filter. The DHW stop tap is closed - open the DHW tap. The filter is clogged - clean the filter.

The boiler is overheating

Shut-off valves in the heating system are closed - check all valves. Open if they are closed.

Other malfunctions and their repairs

In addition to the standard failures that occur in the Arderia device, which can be diagnosed by the electronic control board, other errors also occur, such as the clocking of the unit, when it often turns on and off, overheating of the coolant, lack of stable ignition and combustion, and others.

Frequent outages

In a heating circuit, the boiler often turns on/off due to high coolant temperatures, usually during the transitional heating period in autumn and spring. In this case, it is better to configure the device using a room thermostat.

In DHW mode, the boiler often turns off during emergency modes due to the water pressure in the municipal water supply being less than 1.5 atm. and water flow below 2l/min. If the water utility cannot ensure the operation of the water supply system according to the specified parameters of the boiler, it will be necessary to install an additional storage tank and pump in the DHW circuit.

Temperature fluctuations

Such a failure can only occur in the DHW circuit. This happens for the only reason when there is an increased simultaneous water intake from several points in the house. To eliminate the failure, residents of the house need to maintain the alternate use of hot water services or switch to an external hot water storage tank.

Boiler overheating

This failure can occur for several reasons at once. The most serious of them is scale on the internal heating surfaces. This error can only be eliminated by flushing the heat exchanger. If the boiler operates on hard water, the owner must plan such a procedure at least once every 2 years.

Also, overheating of the coolant is caused by impaired circulation in the heating circuit due to a clogged filter, closed fittings or faulty pump, which can be corrected quite quickly, including by the user.

Doesn't light up

The first reason for such a failure is low parameters in the gas network; before disassembling the housing, you need to make sure that the gas service supplies gas with parameters exceeding the minimum permissible standards.

Another common cause could be a clogged filter, boiler valve or burner. Maintenance work on gas equipment can only be performed by a gas service representative.

Strange flame color when burning

The color of the flame and flue gases directly depends on the quality of the gas and the completeness of its combustion in the firebox. With a low oxygen content at the combustion mouth, chemical underburning of the fuel occurs, and the smoke will be black or dark gray in color, and the torch will be dark yellow, cloudy, or brown. The reason is that the blower fan does not work, the air duct is clogged or the air damper is closed.

If there is a large amount of air, white flue gases will come out due to the large amount of water vapor. In this case, reduce the air supply using a damper or fan.

Water takes a very long time to heat up or there is no hot water supply at all

This problem in the DHW network is caused by the presence of scale on the inner surface of the boiler, large simultaneous water intake, and also an incorrectly selected boiler in terms of power.

For a heating system, the reason for prolonged heating may be poor circulation due to air locks, ultra-low ambient temperatures when the house has not been heated for a long time and the boiler unit’s power is insufficient to operate in peak mode.

Extraneous sounds during operation

The Arderia boiler undergoes basic adjustment at the factory; it is sent to the retail chain only if its noise background does not exceed the sanitary standards that apply in Russia. Extraneous noise during operation of a gas boiler can be created by a fan, pump and burner device, as well as when the heating circuit is aired.

If noise occurs, the boiler must be stopped urgently to conduct an inspection and identify noise sources.

Elimination of errors and malfunctions during the operation of Arderia boilers

_________________________________________________________________________________________

The Arderia boiler is disconnected from gas and shut off. I want to turn on the water heating, but it shows error A9. What to do? Error code A9 means a signal about freezing of the coolant in the heating system. Occurs when the water temperature in the device drops to 5 degrees. Before heating water, you need to warm up the heating system itself so that the device does not think about the possible freezing of the system. Tell me why the pressure in the heating system drops to zero? When the pressure in the boiler is 1.5 bar, I close the heating supply and return taps in front of it. Everything is fine. The pressure does not drop. When I open the taps, the pressure drops to 0. The system has a heated floor. I blocked it, no change. There are hidden pipe connections to the batteries, but it is impossible to see if there is a leak. What to do? For some time after switching on, you should frequently recharge the heating system to bring the compression values to acceptable values. If the operation has already exceeded a month, but the pressure in the heating system still drops, the volume of the expansion tank was incorrectly calculated. This is why the safety valve is activated and the liquid is released. As the water temperature decreases, a decrease in pressure is observed. If the volume of the tank is calculated correctly, but the compression still decreases, areas of depressurization should be determined. Check if the heat exchanger is leaking through the safety valve. It may also be faulty. Since the pressure drops after opening the supply and return taps, there may be a malfunction in the expansion tank. You should check that too. This is provided that there are no leaks in the pipes or radiators. If this is the case, you will have to call a specialist to find the leak. Usually, for this, the coolant is completely drained and air is pumped into the system. Then, using the characteristic hissing sound of air escaping under pressure, they look for the location of the leak. For what reasons does the unit display error E9? It does not light up either during heating or when the hot water tap is opened. What is the problem? Code E9 indicates an error in the coolant pressure sensor. Displayed in a situation of low pressure or lack of coolant in the heating circuit. Check for leaks from the heating circuit and coolant pressure. Once the cause of the malfunction is eliminated, the blocking will be removed automatically. If the error is caused by a malfunction of the unit, call a specialist. The pressure in the Arderia boiler is decreasing, what is the problem? I had this unit installed in my garden house. After two years of normal operation, the pressure in the system began to decrease. We emptied the expansion tank, then pumped it up and topped it up with water. The measures were carried out in accordance with the instructions, but after a few hours the pressure decreases again. No leaks were found. We tried to install a new nipple, but it didn’t work. For what reason did the unit fail to maintain the correct pressure? How to diagnose and adjust the functionality of the expansion tank? There is no need to remove liquid from the heating system. Turn off the unit. Next, the nipple that is installed on the tank is detached. If water flows, the expansion tank must be replaced accordingly. If air begins to escape, the filler valve is closed and the drain valve is opened, through which water is removed from the boiler. When the water stops flowing, connect a pump with a pressure gauge to the nipple and pump in the pressure indicated in the passport. We carry out the process several times, since during pumping sometimes a small part of the liquid spills out, causing the pressure to decrease. It will be necessary to pump until the pressure weakens and the coolant flows out. Next, screw on the cap, turn on the taps and pour water into the system. We start the device and, using the air bleed valve, release excess air from the system. When turned on, the Arderia 2.30 boiler makes a lot of gas noise. What to check and how to adjust? It can be assumed that there was a depressurization of the gas supply circuit. Most likely, the shut-off valve does not hold. Gas collects inside the unit and when turned on, it ignites with a bang. Another reason for the delayed ignition of gas can be a weak fire of the igniter (wick). The igniter flame is adjustable. But before making adjustments, it is necessary to clean the entire igniter mechanism from slag and deposits. This must be done every year. If the igniter (wick) works correctly, the gas will ignite instantly, and not belatedly, and there will be no loud (dangerous) pops. Carbon deposits on the wick are a problem, the gas has started to flow, but the flame does not reach the heating element due to carbon deposits, and when a large volume of gas reaches the flame, detonation occurs, which you hear as a pop, there may still be strong carbon deposits on the heating element itself, which blocks the access of the wick flame to the element. Unstable operation of the Arderia boiler with error A7 appearing periodically. The gas in the heat exchanger is not ignited the first time (the gas valve does not open). From the fourth to tenth time it lights up with a characteristic click of the valve, but may immediately go out (also with a click of the valve). The operation of the valve can be clearly heard. During this, the electric ignition works (it can also be heard clearly). Such work is chaotic in nature (not systematic) and does not depend on the time of day. The supply voltage is normal (225-230 V), the pressure in the system is 2 bar. It reacts to the water flow sensor (changes the mode), but also does not ignite the first time - the reason is the same (the valve does not open). It doesn't give any errors. The service center technician came and found nothing. He said it was the first time he had seen something like this. The only thing I did was pull all the contacts. Error A7 - Gas valve is faulty. Causes: Gas valve relay shorted. Damage to the control unit. You did not indicate whether there is a voltage stabilizer in front of the boiler. I would venture to guess that it is not worth it. And most likely, one day the parts on the board burned out. I'll have to check. You need to carefully check on the board whether the fuses and traces in the area of the SIT 845 gas valve connector and on the board from the adapter block have burned out. Check it out. The valve itself has 2 safety coils of 6.8 kOhm and 0.68 kOhm, respectively, and they are connected to each other in series inside the connector on the valve. There is also an 80 ohm modulation coil. In practice, there have been cases when a transistor was broken immediately after a 10 MΩ resistor in the ionization electrode circuit. Replacing him corrected the situation. The Arderia boiler makes a serious noise and heats up, and water often leaks from the emergency relief valve. Why did this happen? For what reasons can it heat up and make a loud noise? If the device is connected according to the instructions, you must first pay attention to the expansion tank. A situation may arise that it would be more rational to install it in another location. In addition, adjustments are made to the boiler unit itself. In particular, they diagnose the fluid circulation or normalize the gas valve, since its poor setting is the source of such difficulties in operation. Why does a gas boiler go out? There is not enough gas pressure. Incorrect adjustment of the device. The ionization electrode is faulty (dirty). What should be the pressure in the heating system? The coolant pressure when the coolant is cold should be in the range of 1-1.2 bar. The Arderia ESR-2.16 boiler stopped working, error A6 appeared. I restarted and the error still appears. What's wrong? Indication A6 (ignition error). To begin with, it would be a good idea to check the gas pressure on the burner; you need to check the minimum and maximum. Check the gas supply for blockages. This is determined by connecting a pressure gauge to the valve inlet in static and dynamic conditions. If the dynamic pressure drop is more than 15 mbar, then look for external causes. Check the presence of gas, the patency of the hose, and the voltage in the outlet. If, when the device tries to turn on several times, close and open the gas valve, does it light up or not? You can do this: unscrew the electrodes and check the spark on the body. Then screw it in and check if it lights up; disassemble the combustion chamber, clean the electrodes and ignite the gas with the dangling electrode directly in the disassembled combustion chamber; close the camera and check; move the ignition electrode into the socket for another electrode; pull out the burner and diffuser, blow it out, assemble it, insert the electrodes into place, twist the ignition electrode - it should work. However, if this does not help, then most likely the problem lies in the incorrect operation of the three-way valve. It should be checked and replaced if necessary. For what reason does the Arderia gas boiler often turn off and on when heating? When adjusting the coolant temperature, the device began to function unusually. Let's say the temperature of the coolant has dropped to the limit at which the flow of gas to the burner is turned on and the coolant is heated. The heating time is about 30 seconds, the circulation pump is running during this time. Then the boiler stops heating for the same time period and switches on again when the coolant begins to cool. This operation of the device occurs virtually without interruption. The installation settings have not been changed. Before this, the work cycle was implemented differently. Previously, the liquid circulated without heating, after which the heating mode was started. The pump circulated for the required time, although later it stopped functioning, and there was also a pause in its operation. Now she's gone. Tell me what happened and how to fix it? It can be assumed that this appears as the water in the heating circuit warms up. I had a similar situation. The heating system needs to be flushed and the problem should be fixed. The day before yesterday a malfunction was noticed. The unit suddenly stopped working with error A4. What to do? Error code A4 - The boiler is overheating. The safety thermostat is over 104 degrees. If there are currently no ignition requests, then the error is not identified. The burner goes out due to an increase in the temperature of the heating circuit, but the heat exchanger continues to heat up. For the heating cycle 92 degrees, in the hot water supply cycle 96 degrees. The automation system will interrupt the operation of the boiler if the temperature of the protective thermorelay is above 104 degrees for 10 seconds. If the thermostat sensor detects a temperature higher than 104 degrees during heating or antifreeze protection, the boiler automation module counts down the stop for approximately thirty seconds. If during such a time period the temperature of the heating temperature sensor and the protective thermostat does not decrease to 100C, the electronics notifies of an error. The device is blocked during a request to ignite the burner. If during the flame formation stage the temperature of the emergency thermostat rises above 104 C, the boiler will enter standby mode for 10 seconds, and only then display an error message. The temperature sensor of the heating system or the safety thermostat turns on, turning off the unit. The emergency thermal relay starts at temperatures above 104C. It is recommended to wait for the unit to cool down and restart it by pressing the on/off button. The emergency thermostat is malfunctioning or not working properly. Change it. Insufficient circulation of heating system coolant. Check the pressure of the heating circuit. Its performance in an unheated system corresponds to 1.2 Bar. A large amount of air in the heating pipes. Release excess air from the system through the bleeder valve. No circulation. Fully open the shut-off elements that block the necessary water circulation. The operation of the circulation pump is unstable. The pump stopped reaching the required speed. Inspect the voltage and characteristics of the electrical network. If voltage interruptions occur in the electrical network, the boiler is installed to the electrical network using an autotransformer-stabilizer. Check the resistance of the stator winding of the circulation pump electric motor for damage or short circuit. The two-stage circulation pump operates smoothly, although the pressure is not enough. Apparently, there is damage to the impeller. If damage is found, the pump should be replaced. The pump does not spin, but the flow to it is intense. Let's inspect the pump; it's probably jammed. Remove the plug, then rotate the motor rotor shaft. There is no power supply to the circulation pump. Electronic board malfunction. The boiler must be restarted. If the problem persists, replace the control board. The flue gas thermostat began to overheat. Wait for the thermostat sensor to cool down, then reset. Why does the pressure in the heating system drop? There can be several reasons for a drop in pressure in the heating system: it is necessary to check all connections in the heating system (radiators, pipes, collectors, etc., and repair or replace if necessary). The boiler is equipped with an automatic air vent. When air from the system enters the air vent, the automatic valve opens, air comes out, the valve closes - accordingly, the pressure in the heating system drops. The heating system needs to be recharged. The espazomat (i.e. expansion tank) is faulty. It is necessary to check the pressure in the expansion tank and, if necessary (if the air pressure is below 1 bar), pump up the tank. Why is the Arderia gas boiler noisy? The dirt filter on the heating return is clogged. Clean the mud trap. There is no circulation in the appliance (the taps are closed, the heating pump is not working, the heat exchanger is clogged). Open the taps, check the operation of the circulation pump, and flush the heat exchanger. Incorrect gas setting of the unit. The boiler displays an error code AE, then goes out. If it turns on, it begins to function unstably. Sometimes it will start up and can work for two, three hours or 5-10 minutes, although usually it doesn’t want to turn on at all, restarting rarely helps. How to fix such a breakdown? Error AE - Weak traction. In order to ensure stable and reliable operation of the device, it is necessary to organize a draft to remove flue gases so that they do not penetrate into the room. The smoke output is monitored by electronics, and when certain problems occur, the draft sensor-relay will work and the boiler will be turned off. The main reasons that may result in a lack of draft are: small size of the smoke exhaust duct, inappropriate design, blockage, icing of the inner wall. A narrowing chimney diameter can cause a lack of draft. The flue pipes are too long - It is recommended that you carefully read the operating instructions for the appliance and follow the relevant requirements. The large length of the horizontal section of the chimney pipe can serve as a source of lack of draft. Traction sensor failure - If a vacuum occurs in the supply tube, you can hear a characteristic click. Poor contact between the air relay sensor and the electronic board, condensation in the tubes, as well as poor connection of the tubes to the pressure switch. Fan damage - There is a blockage in the fan impeller. There is no lubricant on the fan shaft, hence it has low torque. The contact between the fan and the electronic board is broken. Do you need additional filters for heating? It is necessary to install a dirt filter on the heating return. Tell me why there is no hot water? That is, the device does not work well on DHW. What is the reason? Perhaps the hot water taps are closed, or the heat exchanger is clogged. Open the taps and rinse the heat exchanger. I can’t figure out how it is recommended to reduce the pressure on the Arderia boiler? And is it possible to reduce the gas pressure? Is there a regulator in the unit that adjusts the gas pressure or do they not need to make any adjustments? Help me lower the pressure? The regulator needs to adjust the fuel pressure entering the boiler unit. If it is too low, the gas burner unit will not flare up; when it is high, the flame may separate from the wick, and the burner device will go out immediately after ignition. Further corrective actions. Warm up the unit intensively. Open the smoke exhaust channel fully. Set the main burner to the maximum position, in this case the flame appears yellow-blue. By closing the incoming gas tap, we remove the yellow flame. Then check the operation of the device in numerous modes. For what reasons is there not enough hot water when this unit is operating? The taps are closed, the heat exchanger is clogged, the boiler is not selected correctly. Check and open the DHW taps, rinse the heat exchanger, contact a service organization.
