Your Lemax gas boiler, which worked properly last season or even yesterday, does not turn on? Perhaps some problems arose before, but now it completely refuses to work? Agree, staying in the cold without heating in the house is not a bright prospect.
Most Lemax gas heating boilers have fairly simple, fully mechanical automation. This means that you can fix most problems yourself. This article will help you find and eliminate the reason why the boiler does not light up.
Let's consider both external factors that interfere with the operation of the unit and its internal breakdowns. We will provide instructions for actions in different situations, and also describe the features of electronically controlled boilers.
Non-volatile boiler does not ignite
Most owners of a Lemax gas boiler choose a mechanically controlled device that does not depend on electricity. This choice is justified, since it not only allows you to maintain heating when the lights are turned off, but also significantly reduces the number of potential breakdowns and the cost of components.
Perhaps the only weak point of such boilers is the ignition system, which is responsible for the correct and safe start of the device.
Non-volatile boilers do not display an error code indicating the reason for shutdown or impossibility of starting - you will have to look for the problem yourself
Among the reasons for the refusal to start the boiler are both external - lack of draft in the chimney, insufficient supply ventilation, gas supply problems, and internal breakdowns of the boiler. We'll look at each option in more detail below.
Reason #1 – weak traction
In non-volatile boilers, combustion products rise up the chimney naturally, due to the difference in temperature and pressure. These devices are demanding on the quality, cleanliness and correct design of the chimney.
There are several ways to check for traction:
- if the air intake comes from the room, place a sheet of paper under the boiler. If it presses against the bottom of the combustion chamber, everything is fine, there is draft;
- If there is a through window in front of the burner, place a lit match into it with the boiler off. The flame should stretch out and bend forward, deep into the combustion chamber;
- boilers with a coaxial chimney or two separate pipes draw air from the street - do a test with paper or a match there.
If the draft is normal, you should look further for the cause of the problem, for example, in the connection of the draft sensor.
Lack of traction can be caused by various reasons, which determine how to solve this problem.
The accumulation of soot in the chimney can reach astonishing proportions, depending on the quality of the gas and the correct settings of the boiler
Firstly, the chimney becomes clogged over time - with soot, debris, etc. It needs to be cleaned regularly, preferably in the fall, before turning on the Lemax gas boiler after inactivity; do not forget that not only the vertical part of the pipe needs to be cleaned, but also its elbow coming out of the boiler.
Secondly, the gas exhaust pipe must meet the boiler requirements in terms of diameter and height. In addition, there should be a deflector on the top that protects from blowing, and partially from blockages.
Thirdly, if the part of the chimney outside the heated room is not sufficiently insulated, a cold air plug forms in it, preventing the removal of combustion products.
And finally, draft can be hampered by soot clogging the burner and heat exchanger inside the boiler. However, you can clean them yourself only superficially, with a brush. For complete cleaning, including disconnecting and washing these units with soapy water, we recommend using our instructions.
Reason #2 – gas supply is not adjusted
Quite often, owners complain that when they try to start the Lemax boiler it flares up, but immediately turns off completely. Most often, the problem is precisely in setting the gas supply to the igniter.
If it is minimal, then when turned on, the pilot burner first flares up, and then its flame is knocked down and blown out by the main burner that turns on. The protection is triggered and the boiler completely shuts off the gas supply.
If the igniter burns well, the flame covers both the piezo ignition spark plug and the thermocouple sensor, but does not come off the burner and does not form scarlet tongues, only blue ones
Another option is possible when the flame on both the pilot and main burner is set to minimum. In this case, the wick lights up, but does not reach the gas flow from the main burner and cannot ignite it. If you take a chance and wait, the boiler may ignite with a delay and a bang when gas accumulates a little in the combustion chamber, or the automation will turn everything off earlier to avoid an explosion.
If the igniter burns too actively or the draft is excessive, the flame may break away from it and not reach the thermocouple sensor and the main burner, which also makes starting the boiler impossible.
Lemax boilers are equipped mainly with Italian automatic equipment 630 Euro SIT or 710 MiniSIT , less often - 820 NOVA SIT . On all these units, the gas supply to the burners is regulated in the same way. Do not rush to turn the screws on the left side of the machine that are not covered by the lid. Despite their availability, they are intended only for professionals - these are gas pressure measuring fittings.
To begin, remove the unit cover by unscrewing one screw on its top edge. Under it you will see only 2 screws that can be turned with a regular flat-head screwdriver, larger and smaller - they are responsible for adjusting the flame of the burners.
The black screws are needed to disassemble the automation housing and have a TORX thread, in the shape of an asterisk. This is a kind of protection against unprofessional intervention, which can be dangerous
The smaller screw is located on the far left corner of the top panel and controls the gas flow to the igniter. By twisting it, you reduce the flame until the gas stops. To make the pilot burner more active, turn this screw gradually counterclockwise to the desired result, but no more than 2 turns from the fully tightened position.
The larger screw is responsible for adjusting the minimum flame of the main burner; reducing it will help increase the efficiency of the boiler. However, do not overdo it: when igniting, the burner should turn on all at once, and not gradually, and without popping noise - otherwise it is unsafe.
On the side panel, near the gas hose connection, there is a screw for adjusting the maximum gas flow, but it is better not to touch it yourself; if necessary, ask a specialist to adjust it at the next maintenance.
Gas boiler does not start
Keep in mind that the equipment may not always start up the first time, and this does not necessarily indicate a malfunction. Sometimes you can make a mistake in the procedure and the flame will not appear. If you have repeatedly tried to start the device, but nothing worked, the problem may lie in the ignition units:
- a breakdown has occurred (you will need to replace the system completely or clean the thermocouple contacts);
- when there is no voltage in the network;
- the valve on the pipe is closed;
- the pressure is not enough for the equipment to operate correctly;
- the nozzles in the base burner are clogged (you will need to clean them and restart the device).
Possible breakdowns and their repair
The failure of the boiler to start is not always associated with inaccurate settings or external causes, but almost always the malfunction can be corrected independently.
All boilers with SIT automation have a similar structure, it is reliable and easy to set up, almost all units are accessible to the average user
Before any repairs, turn off the boiler, let it cool completely and turn off the gas supply to the riser. Even if you only had the pilot light on, the risk of getting burned is very high.
Failure #1 – the thermocouple has failed
According to the instructions, if a boiler with SIT automation does not turn on, the problem should be looked for in the thermocouple and only in it. A thermocouple is a flame detection sensor that ensures that the gas shuts off when the burner goes out.
When igniting, you need to hold down the handle or a special button for 10 - 60 seconds just so that the thermocouple has time to warm up from the flame and fix the solenoid valve in the open position.
However, there are a number of situations when this protection system works erroneously:
- the fire does not reach the thermocouple sensor;
- the sensor is smoked, oxidized, dirty;
- the copper tube of the thermocouple has burned out or no longer conducts electrical impulses;
- The thermocouple is not screwed into the adapter to the gas valve well enough.
This part is not difficult to find in the boiler: it is a red copper tube, one end of which is screwed into the control unit, from below, and the other into the socket near the igniter and piezo ignition.
First of all, try to slightly tighten the nut securing it to the automatic. Poor contact may cause failure. Carefully unscrew the bottom end of the thermocouple, which is heated by the flame.
As a rule, all nuts on the panel with the pilot burner are unscrewed with a 10 mm wrench, and the panel itself is unscrewed with a Phillips screwdriver
Inspect the sensor and clean it with a thick cloth or the finest sandpaper. Screw it into place and try to start the boiler.
Did not help? Look through the window to see if the flame from the igniter reaches the tip of the thermocouple. If not, bend it by unscrewing the socket with 2 bolts, or adjust the flame of the pilot burner, as we described above.
If you have a multimeter, you can independently check the functionality of the thermocouple. To do this, you need to unscrew both ends and remove the part from the boiler. At the end that screws into the automation unit, you will see a lead tip that transfers the charge to the gas valve. Clean it until it shines.
Position the thermocouple sensor so that it is exposed to fire from a gas stove burner or dry alcohol tablet. Connect the multimeter probes to the lead tip and the copper thermocouple tube and measure the voltage. If everything is in order, look for the problem further, and if the problem is in the thermocouple, you will have to purchase a new part.
Failure #2 – traction sensor does not work correctly
A draft sensor is installed at the base of the chimney and is designed to shut off the gas supply, turning off the boiler if combustion products stop being discharged.
The draft sensor is located under the top cover of the boiler - in the part where combustion products are most concentrated before being removed into the chimney
Otherwise, the residents of the house may be poisoned by carbon monoxide, so this protection system is mandatory in all gas boilers.
In non-volatile boilers of the Lemax brand, the sensor is connected to an adapter that attaches the thermocouple to the gas valve. If its circuit opens, the solenoid valve shuts off the fuel supply and the boiler turns off.
If the design provides an overheat sensor, it is also included in this circuit. Accordingly, if the sensor is not working, starting the boiler is impossible: gas will be supplied only when the handle or special button is pressed.
The sensor itself rarely fails; problems are usually caused by poor contacts and wires. First, disconnect the contacts and clean them with a thick cloth, solvent or alcohol. Inspect the integrity of the wires and their insulation, if possible, test with a multimeter; if the conductivity is broken, replace.
Dry the cleaned contacts, insert them into place as tightly as possible, the wires can be soldered to the sensor itself. Try starting the boiler.
If the situation has not changed, try closing the contacts on the adapter to the gas valve by wrapping them with wire.
The draft sensor in Lemax boilers is connected to the adapter between the thermocouple and the gas valve, at the bottom of the automation
If this helps and the boiler starts working, it means that the problem is still in the draft sensor. Do not leave the contact closed for a long time - this threatens your safety! Replace the sensor or call a specialist.
Failure #3 – nozzle clogged
It happens that when you try to turn it on, not even the wick lights up and you can’t hear the hiss of gas, that is, nothing happens. This behavior of the boiler most likely indicates that the nozzle or pilot burner injector is clogged.
To figure out how to light the pilot burner of a Lemax gas boiler, disconnect the tube going to it from the automation unit. On the panel near the burner, the gas supply tube is the middle of 3 connections; for convenience, you can first unscrew the thermocouple.
The nozzle that supplies gas in a thin stream can be the end of this tube or a separate part. Clean the nozzle hole with a toothpick and blow through the tube, making sure that air passes through.
Remove the panel on which the tube was secured by unscrewing the 2 screws on the sides. You will see a mesh on the gas supply tube - air is drawn through it to mix with gas.
Considering that the air supply comes from below, along the floor, and pets like to bask near the boiler, this mesh can become clogged with dust and wool, which does not always fade. Blow through this mesh - just without fanaticism.
If necessary, the pilot burner can be replaced along with the panel - but it is better to entrust this to a specialist who will correctly install and configure the equipment
Reassemble everything in reverse order and try to start the boiler. A positive result should be heard immediately - this is the hissing of gas supplied to the igniter.
Failure #4 – problems with piezo ignition
Piezo ignition allows you to light the boiler without matches by pressing a button. The block under the button generates an electrical impulse, which is transmitted through the wire to the spark plug and forms a spark at its end.
The automatic ignition of Lemax boilers breaks down quite rarely, but if this happens, you need to accurately determine the location of the breakdown. To do this, disconnect the wires from the spark plug located near the igniter and try pressing the button. If a characteristic click is heard, then the electrode is faulty, but if there are no clicks, then the block is under the button.
You can try to clean the spark plug from carbon deposits by unscrewing the panel with the burner and thermocouple. If necessary, buy a new part and replace it. To remove and replace the unit with the button, it is enough to remove the cover of the automation unit.
Failure #5 – gas valve is faulty
The gas valve is responsible for supplying fuel to both burners and also shuts off the gas in emergency situations. From below, the solenoid valve is controlled by a thermocouple and a draft sensor, and from above, the pressure is regulated by a balloon-bellows thermostat.
The system is multi-component, and the part is perhaps the most important in the boiler, so it is not recommended to interfere with its operation yourself.
The electromagnetic gas valve opens either when the thermocouple is heated, or mechanically - by pressing a handle or button, depending on the boiler automation model
Having heard from a specialist about possible problems with the gas valve, do not rush to get upset: replacement may not be required. During long-term operation of the boiler, lubricant may develop and adjustment may be required.
You can get to the valve yourself by unscrewing the adapter into which the thermocouple is attached and unscrewing the valve itself. This is not easy to do - the valve is tightened very tightly to avoid leaks.
The SIT control unit can only be disassembled from above using a special screwdriver or a wrench with a TORX T-20 . Before disassembling the control box, be sure to mark the position of all knobs and adjustment screws.
Let's get started
To determine the cause of the malfunction, we will check the thermocouple circuit - solenoid valve. First, let's check the traction sensor. In this boiler it is located on the gas duct. To do this, remove two terminals from the sensor.
We close the two terminals together; they should connect tightly (to do this, you can press them a little with pliers).
We are trying to ignite the igniter. If this was possible, the cause of the malfunction is in the traction sensor. However, do not rush to change it. Let's check it first.
Note: in this work we dismantle the sensor in order to show the features of its installation on the boiler and the markings. This is not necessary for verification.
Unscrew the two screws securing the draft sensor to the boiler flue.
Please note that the sensor is not attached tightly to the flue body, but is mounted on paronite gaskets. This is necessary in order to reduce the heating of the sensor through its contact with the body, and also to ensure a gap between the hole in the flue duct and the plane of the sensor.
We inspect the sensor. Its contacts must be firmly attached to the body. There should be no oxidation on them. The sensor rating (the temperature at which the sensor contact opens) in this case is 75 °C (designation on the housing L75C).
We check the traction sensor with a tester, measuring its resistance. It should be minimal (equal to the resistance of the probes) - 1–2 Ohms. If the sensor does not ring, it is clearly necessary to replace it with a similar one (with the appropriate response temperature).
If the sensor was able to ring, wipe the contacts of the sensor and the circuit terminals with alcohol, tighten them with pliers and dry them. We mount the sensor in place and connect it. We are trying to ignite.
If ignition was successful, the cause of the malfunction has been found and eliminated.
Be sure to check the draft after igniting the main burner. To do this, you can bring your hand to the place where the traction sensor is installed. No heat should come out of this hole. If this happens, it is necessary to eliminate the cause causing insufficient traction. In this case, the sensor works correctly.
Attention! Operating a boiler with a faulty chimney is strictly prohibited!
If ignition fails, we move further along the chain. The contacts from the draft sensor go to the draft breaker (thermocouple breaker).
We remove the terminals from the contacts of the traction breaker and measure the resistance of the circuit. It should be no more than 3 ohms.
If this condition is met, we perform the following actions. Using wrench No. 9, unscrew the nut securing the thermocouple to the traction breaker. Using wrench No. 12, unscrew the traction breaker, which consists of two parts: a brass sleeve and a plastic insert, by half a turn.
Electronic boiler
The Lemax line of boilers, which connect to a 220V network, is actively expanding and now includes wall-mounted double-circuit models Prime , as well as floor-standing Clever and Wise .
Unlike imported competitors, whose control boards often burn out due to power surges, these devices are designed to operate in Russian networks.
Wall-mounted boilers, as a rule, have a built-in circulation pump, an expansion tank and significantly more control and protection systems
However, such models can sometimes fail.
To ensure safety, the main protection systems are still mechanical:
- a thermocouple controls combustion and shuts off the gas if the burner goes out - error E1 ;
- the draft sensor gives a signal to shut down if combustion products are not removed - error E3 ;
- the membrane gas valve will shut off the fuel supply if its pressure drops below critical, or the gas is turned off in the network - error E1 ;
- The overheating thermostat controls the temperature of the heating circuit; if it overheats, it turns off the boiler with error E2 .
All these systems are designed in the same way as in mechanically controlled boilers, and their location depends on the model. Therefore, we will not re-describe the inspection and repair of each component, but the instructions for it will help you find them in your boiler.
In addition, an electronically controlled boiler will not start if it detects a malfunction of any of its boards or sensors, or their unsatisfactory readings - for example, low water pressure or a supply voltage of less than 170V.
To avoid having to go through the entire boiler, the location of the fault will be indicated by the error code and its explanation in the instructions.
To set up and repair electronic controls, it is better to contact a specialist; he can resolder, reflash or replace the board
If the boiler does not react at all to an attempt to turn on, even the screen does not light up, most likely there is a problem with the power supply. As trivial as it may seem, check whether the plug is plugged into the socket, whether the machine is raised, whether there is any light in the house at all.
A child could pull out the plug from the socket, and the machine could turn off due to a voltage drop, so do not neglect this advice.
If the power supply is normal and the boiler display does not light up, call the service department for diagnostics and repair or replacement of electronic control elements.
Attenuation problems related to the boiler itself
Malfunctions of various kinds can also occur in the boiler itself and cause the device to turn off or fade out.
Problems can be expressed by the following symptoms:
1. The gas burner does not start or burns very weakly. The origin of the problem may lie in clogged injectors. If the nozzles are not working satisfactorily, the burner may start to smoke. You can clean the gas boiler yourself using a thin wire or a soft brush.
2. The burner goes out after a short period of operation. The source may be contamination of the ionization electrode, gap violations, or separation of the connecting wire, which causes the unit to howl and make a hum. This type of breakdown is completely removable.
3. Flame separation. In case of this malfunction, it is necessary to adjust the gas pressure in the igniter. Excessive ventilation may also be a cause.
4. Extraneous noise in the device and causeless shutdown. This may indicate a breakdown of the internal fan or pump, as well as failure of the thermostat.
An excellent choice for protecting a gas boiler from voltage surges in the house would be to purchase an uninterruptible power supply. More details: https://teplo.guru/kotly/gazovye/ibp-dlya-gazovyh-kotlov.html

Why does the Lemax gas boiler go out?
The Lemax floor-standing double-circuit gas boiler and other configurations go out for several reasons:
- if the gas supply has stopped, you will need to turn off the equipment and wait for the resource to be restored;
- Volatile boilers have another reason for stopping operation - lack of voltage in the network;
- if the draft sensor fails, you will need to check whether the chimney is clogged and whether the contacts in the parts are clogged;
- the problem of oxidized thermocouple contacts is solved by cleaning (fine-grain sandpaper is used);
- the burner turns off if there are difficulties with the draft (it may be too strong, weak or reverse).
The most common problem with volatile equipment is the ignition system. Another difficulty is that the device will not display an error code that causes the burner to extinguish. Therefore, the owner will have to look for the cause of the malfunction on his own.
The Lemax boiler goes out and goes out. What kind of device does he have, what doesn’t work there?
Sergey N wrote: I won’t risk saying 100%, but maybe it’s necessary to keep the gas on fire for a little bit so that the temperature sensor heats up and gives the command to the electronics not to turn off. Just for safety reasons, sometimes flame temperature sensors are installed. If it goes out, it cools down and gives the command to turn off the gas supply. This is sometimes done in gas stove ovens, boilers and other potentially dangerous equipment.
Just hold the flame for a minute and try to let go.
Yes, it looks a lot like a dying thermostat. Even new ones, they often don’t work as expected, and then as they age, they do whatever they want. Although it is also possible that during combustion the flame simply does not reach the thermostat, the automation thinks that the flame has gone out and turns off the gas. This error often occurs due to mechanical damage or clogging of the nozzle.
Recommendations for troubleshooting Lemax Prime boilers

_______________________________________________________________________________
The Lemax Prime gas wall-mounted boiler cannot start. When you hold down the on/off key, the burner operates. If you do not fix the key, the unit immediately goes out. What is the cause of the problem? Apparently the thermocouple or gas valve is damaged. There is also low gas pressure in the supply pipeline. In some cases, there is insufficient voltage on the electronic board. Recently a problem arose. Starting is difficult. The igniter lights up, but there is no flame at the main burner assembly. Help me figure out what is the reason? There may be damage to parts of the ignition mechanism. We recommend performing a technical inspection of the device and cleaning the ignition device. Why does the Prime V24 boiler not turn off when it reaches the required temperature? Heating goes up to 90 C, then goes into an accident. When a reboot is performed, the cycle begins again. We assume that the electronic board is not in order, the boiler water temperature sensor is faulty, or the overheating sensor is faulty. It is quite possible that the automation settings failed. Tell me why it is not possible to raise the temperature of the coolant to more than 70 degrees? We need to increase the temperature, but the screen shows that this is the highest value. How to set the heating temperature? If the device cannot increase the temperature of the heating circuit, then the following problems can be assumed. The settings limit the maximum heating temperature to no more than 70 degrees. There was a decrease in the draft speed in the chimney. The Lemax Prime 18 gas boiler began to function unstably during the heating stage of the DHW system. Cold and hot water flows from the tap. Explain why this happens? The reasons for the malfunction appear to be the following. Cold water is mixed in because the three-way valve is faulty. The heat exchanger is clogged. It needs to be cleaned. There is a tap at the bottom of the boiler, from which water often oozes. The unit itself does not start. What should I do? Apparently, the coolant was discharged through the protection valve. This situation indicates increased pressure in the system. In addition, the system filling valve may be open, or it is recommended to pump up the expander tank. Tell me, what is the problem if pressure increases regularly and at the same time the coolant discharge valve opens? The display always shows the heating symbol in the heating mode of the device. What should I do? There is a breakdown of the heating circuit temperature sensor. There is no normal circulation in the heating system. What is the problem if the wall-mounted gas boiler Lemax Prime V32 periodically turns off? Let's say the other day the piezo ignition did not function at all. Maintenance of the boiler was carried out that month. What kind of malfunction? We can assume that there are malfunctions in the smoke exhaust device. The chimney should be inspected. Inoperability of the electric ignition indicates a defect in its parts due to a power surge or water penetration. Please help me troubleshoot my chimney? For two days now, a return draft has appeared, due to which the smoke passes straight into the room. I made the chimney myself. It is made of steel pipe. There may be inaccuracies in the calculations. The unit normally operates for hot water supply, although when the heating is turned on, the water immediately comes to a boil and the unit stops working. What kind of breakdown is this, and how can I fix it? We assume that the circulation pump has a defect, a control board failure, or a temperature sensor failure. It is also possible that the filter mesh is clogged. At the hot water supply stage, the unit alternately begins to produce hot and cold water. Help me understand what the relationship is. How to stabilize the heating of the coolant yourself? Apparently, there is contamination in the heating system or the heat exchanger needs to be cleaned. In addition, the pressure control relay may be damaged or the circulation pump may be broken. The main factor is an incorrectly designed chimney pipe. Soot contamination often occurs, which significantly reduces its capabilities. In addition, it is recommended to inspect the ventilation in residential premises. The Prime 32 boiler is in operation. It instantly raises the temperature above 96 degrees, but then turns off due to overheating. Subsequently, when it cools down, it goes to reboot. What is this connected with? Suspension of work due to overheating indicates a lack of coolant circulation. Initially, you need to pay attention to the heating radiator taps. They must be in the open position. Then the cleanliness of the filter element is checked, and you also need to make sure that the heat exchange device does not contain scale. We installed this unit in February of this year. After about a few weeks, the device suddenly began to make noise. Explain what is causing the noise? Presumably, there is scale in the heat exchanger. When the water is hard, lime will subsequently accumulate on the walls of the radiator pipes. I am going to install a Lemax Prime V24 wall-mounted boiler in a private house. Could you tell me how to put it into operation correctly? To correctly start up the boiler apparatus, the following actions must be performed. Turn on the electrical power of the device. Set the gas valve open. Then we start the main burner. Finally, set the desired temperature. We are planning to do some renovations. Please instruct how to drain the water from the unit? According to the manual, this procedure is implemented as follows. Disconnect the unit from the electrical network. Close the gas valve. Open the automatic air vent. Open the drain tap. After this, collect the leaked liquid. If required, it is possible to drain the liquid through the relief valve. This valve is located at the bottom of the device. Please tell me how to diagnose the operation of a three-way valve? I think this part doesn't open well. In heating mode, it weakly pumps the last batteries, although in DHW mode the pipe for supplying coolant under the boiler unit heats up. Indeed, we recommend checking the three-way valve for poor stem travel in an intermediate position. In turn, we recommend checking your heating system. We use a Lemax Prime V18 gas boiler indoors. Until yesterday morning I acted without question. But now, after five seconds after starting, it goes out. It seems that it cannot deliver water to the system. Explain what is the source of the problem? The probable cause of this defect is the ignition electrode, which does not register fire, or a decrease in circulation. Recently a problem appeared with this unit. It whistles during the heating cycle. I decided to reboot - it worked, but nothing changed. Maybe someone can explain what is the reason for the whistling? In many cases, a sharp whistle occurs when the pressure on the gas burner nozzles is incorrectly adjusted. The set value must be checked and corrected if necessary. Water got into the boiler and it began to work with delays. Let’s say we set any temperature, but the heating reaches a maximum of 27 degrees, after which the device turns off. Tell me, what happened? If water has poured into the electronic board unit, then the board is probably damaged. Try resetting it by linearly disconnecting the device from the power supply. Then turn it on again and diagnose its serviceability. I have a device of the same model installed. Now, when starting, the wick burns for five seconds, but the main burner does not catch the fire, and because of this the device goes out. What is the best way to get out of the situation? Based on your words, the ignition mechanism has broken or there is a problem with the burner. In any case, you need to see if the phasing was disrupted during connection to the power supply. I completed the connection of the same model myself in October of that year. About a few months later, there was a problem with the hot water supply, but the heating was functioning as expected. I tried to turn on the hot water, but the device only displays the temperature and is not going to produce heating. What is the cause of the problem? Most likely the problem is in the 3-way valve. It must be replaced. I would like to know why a protective temperature sensor is installed in the boiler system? A safety temperature sensor stops the flow of gas into the burner if the water in the DHW system overheats. The main heat exchanger needs to be washed and cleaned. Explain what needs to be done in order to remove it professionally? The main heat exchanger is easily removed from the unit using a simple screwdriver. Below is the dismantling procedure. We drain the water from the device using the outlet tap. Then we empty the hot water system. Unscrew the screws securing the primary heat exchanger and remove it from the frame. Completed the installation of this unit. After approximately 4 months, the water pressure in the unit began to decrease. Sometimes he turns it down and switches off. In other words, it doesn't hold pressure at all. What could be wrong? When the unit does not increase water pressure, there may be a leak from the supply valve. If a shutdown occurs and the pressure drops to zero, then the three-way valve is defective. Explain how to clean the cold water filter? First remove water from the DHW system. Secondly, unscrew the nut of the flow sensor. Then we pull out the sensor along with the filter from the recess. After removal, remove accumulated debris and dirt. During the startup period, the device previously emitted a buzzing sound, but now the noise has intensified. Initially the sound disappeared quickly, but now it lasts much longer. I've been hearing this for a while, have you encountered this problem? The appearance of additional noise indicates the presence of scale on the internal walls of the heat exchange device, the heating of which occurs unevenly due to the unequal thickness of the walls. The more dirty the heat exchanger is, the louder the noise is, and the heat transfer decreases accordingly. The device seems to be working, although water does not appear to be circulating through the system. Return pump very hot. How to fix this? Most likely, the filter is dirty or there are closed taps in some place, which prevents the passage of coolant. The circulation pump may also break. Why can't hot water heat up? The water flows almost cold. Help me understand what happened? The search for damage is carried out in several directions. For example, if the DHW temperature sensor is broken, it should be replaced. There is also a possibility that the power adjustments for DHW heating have failed. You can constantly observe a spark failure at the moment of ignition. There is no dirt in the burner, the chimney is in order, the draft is good. Where can I look for a breakdown? The unit does not detect a spark due to insufficient impulse from the combustion control unit. It is recommended to check the wires from the ionization sensor to the electrode. It may need to be tightened up. The sensor insulation may be defective and must be replaced.
