Basic faults
There are several possible reasons why the Lemax gas boiler goes out or does not start at all:
- A gas leak has been detected. In this situation, you need to immediately open the windows wide, turn off the gas, and turn off the device itself. You also need to call emergency services.
- Insufficient draft, burner clogged. The signal will be a red tint of the light, elongation of the reeds and their smoking. Eliminate the cause by cleaning the chimney and burner.
- If there are other difficulties with the chimney and thermostat, the main burner may involuntarily turn off.
- There is no water circulation. With an existing pump, the pipeline slope may be set incorrectly.
- The gas was turned off. In this case, the equipment will turn off spontaneously.
The LEMAX gas water heater does not ignite the first time - troubleshooting
There are many reasons for this problem. We will consider the most common of them in this article.
First of all, you should check whether the gas valve is fully open and whether there is cold water in the water main. The LEMAX gas water heater may not ignite due to the fact that there is no spark for ignition due to the fact that the batteries are dead if you are using them, or there is a bad contact on the power supply if you connected the power from the mains.
Lemax speakers have a combined power source; they work both from the mains and from batteries. Replace the batteries, check if the contacts in the battery compartment are oxidized, and if the contact on the power supply is working properly.
Low water pressure is also the reason for the inoperability of the hot water pump. If there is constantly low pressure in the line, installing a pump will help. The filter on the inlet water pipe or the mixer on the tap may become clogged with scale.
To eliminate this, wash the filters with a coarse bristle brush under a strong stream of water. If you cannot do this due to boiling scale, you should place them in a citric acid solution, it is prepared at the rate of 100 grams per liter of water, or replace them with new ones.
Lack of traction may also explain why the Lemax gas water heater does not light up. You turn on the column, but it immediately fades out, due to the fact that the traction sensor is triggered. This happens if the air duct is clogged with soot or a foreign object has fallen into it.
Check the draft by holding a lit match or candle to the chimney; if the fire does not deviate towards the chimney, it means it is clogged. Cleaning the canal will help get rid of the problem. In addition, the draft sensor can work and turn off your unit, and if there is no natural draft, if the windows and doors are tightly closed, opening them will fix the problem.
The appearance of gaps between the air duct pipe and the branch pipe, between the pipe bends. Seal any gaps that appear. The gas unit is clogged - if this happens, it is better to invite a gas service specialist. You can only clean the burner jets on your own; removing dust from the mixing chamber in Lemax is problematic, since it is difficult to get inside it due to its not very successful design.
Dust is removed with a soft brush or rag, carbon deposits from the jets are removed with a brush with metal bristles. After cleaning, you should check all joints for leaks using soap foam, lathering them. If it bubbles, the connection has failed. Low gas pressure also becomes the reason why the hot water pump does not turn on the first time. Perhaps an accident occurred somewhere, but most often, in this case, the small-diameter pipes that connect the gas main to the hot water supply are to blame. Gas specialists should be called to install pipes of the appropriate diameter.
High pressure is also the reason why the column does not ignite. Installing a reduction gearbox will solve this problem. In addition, if your water or gas pressure is not high enough, the hot water supply is adjusted to maximum values, attenuation will also occur. This can be corrected by adjusting the control knobs.
The rubber membrane in the water block is worn out, it can tear or stretch. Remove the housing of the device by unscrewing the two screws at the bottom of the unit, then remove the display and temperature sensor. Pull towards you and up. Inspect the membrane in the water block; if it is damaged, it needs to be replaced; it is better to buy a silicone one, it will last longer.
Why does the Lemax gas boiler go out?
The Lemax floor-standing double-circuit gas boiler and other configurations go out for several reasons:
- if the gas supply has stopped, you will need to turn off the equipment and wait for the resource to be restored;
- Volatile boilers have another reason for stopping operation - lack of voltage in the network;
- if the draft sensor fails, you will need to check whether the chimney is clogged and whether the contacts in the parts are clogged;
- the problem of oxidized thermocouple contacts is solved by cleaning (fine-grain sandpaper is used);
- the burner turns off if there are difficulties with the draft (it may be too strong, weak or reverse).
The most common problem with volatile equipment is the ignition system. Another difficulty is that the device will not display an error code that causes the burner to extinguish. Therefore, the owner will have to look for the cause of the malfunction on his own.
Lemax boiler malfunctions
We connected the Lemax floor-standing boiler at the beginning of August. Presumably after 4 months a failure occurred. I'm trying to set the temperature, but it won't hold it. Tell me, what is the reason? Most likely, the automation has failed, and if the temperature rises by 60 degrees, the injectors turn off.
It is necessary to adjust the automation for correct operation. Another reason may be that you have chosen an inconsistent unit power relative to the heating area. I launched this unit in the middle of this year.
We made a conversion to liquefied gas. In 3 months it took almost nine cubes. At the moment, there is too much carbon deposits inside the device, and the main burner has also begun to smoke. Why does this happen? Too much soot in the firebox indicates that the burner is poorly adjusted, and as a result the gas does not burn completely. There may also be a poor-quality composition of the gas mixture. To prevent the burner from smoking, it is recommended to regularly wet clean it. I put this device into operation.
When starting up, the gas burner of the GGU lights up and suddenly goes out. I think the ignition spark is missing.
How can I fix this problem? Check if the igniter spark sound can be heard when the ignition cable is removed. If there is no sound, it is recommended to change the ignition transformer. If there is sound, replace the igniter electrode or gas burner device. Recently, a problem emerged with the Lemax Premium boiler. Water is dripping from it. It worked properly for a total of 2 weeks. Maybe someone can tell me why the water is dripping? Dripping may occur due to high pressure in the system.
There may be destruction of the walls of the heat exchanger. Water hammer can also be a factor in boiler leaks. At the dacha we intend to connect this device. I had this unit installed. Yesterday there was a problem with it. It turns on, but does not heat the house.
What can happen? Most likely, air has accumulated inside the radiators or there is scale in the heat exchanger. It should be washed.

How to turn on, light up
To heat water, you need to wait until the required volume is completely filled into the system (on average 12 liters per kW). After connecting the pipeline, the procedure will be as follows:
- remove the cover to see the regulator and piezo ignition;
- turn the regulator counterclockwise to turn on the device;
- press all the way and lock the regulator, at the same time press the piezo ignition;
- a light should appear on the ignition burner (after this, release the piezo ignition and hold the regulator for another minute).
If you fail to connect the equipment, do not rush to try again immediately. Wait a couple of minutes.
Gas boiler does not start
Keep in mind that the equipment may not always start up the first time, and this does not necessarily indicate a malfunction. Sometimes you can make a mistake in the procedure and the flame will not appear. If you have repeatedly tried to start the device, but nothing worked, the problem may lie in the ignition units:
- a breakdown has occurred (you will need to replace the system completely or clean the thermocouple contacts);
- when there is no voltage in the network;
- the valve on the pipe is closed;
- the pressure is not enough for the equipment to operate correctly;
- the nozzles in the base burner are clogged (you will need to clean them and restart the device).
Why is blood pressure rising?
If the pressure in the system increases, this usually indicates that the water level has increased. This problem can lead to serious emergencies and even an explosion of a cast iron radiator. To reduce risks, the installation included an expansion tank that collects excess water.
An increase in pressure indicates problems with the tank. Problems can occur in the membrane, which sag in order to make room for an increased volume of water. Sometimes it breaks, and can also be loosely fixed to the walls. As the volume of fluid increases, there will be nowhere for it to go, which will cause an increase in pressure.
The situation can be corrected by replacing the membrane or the expansion tank itself (if that is the problem).

What causes blood pressure to drop?
