Operation and setup
Boilers are adjusted during manufacturing, in the factory. Additional setup is a small adjustment made during installation and first run.
The operating limits of temperature and pressure of gas and working fluids are determined. These actions must be performed by specialists from the warranty workshop, otherwise the warranty agreement will be void.
After the first launch, no special actions are required from the owner. Adjusting the temperature to your liking is done as a matter of routine.

Turbocharged boilers DEU
The main advantage of DEU turbocharged gas boilers is that they do not require a separate boiler room. Their dimensions are very modest (length/width/height - 290x490x626 mm), which allows you to hide the heater in a wall kitchen cabinet. Due to its low weight (only 26 kg), the boiler can be hung on any wall, even plasterboard. The mount is included. Also, each model is equipped with a remote control - you can make adjustments to the operation of the boiler remotely.
Characteristics
Turbocharged boilers DEU are designed for heating and hot water systems, that is, double-circuit. Their power is 11.6 or 15.1 kW, which is quite enough for a house with an area of 116 and 151 square meters. m, respectively. They can only work if connected to the mains power supply. Natural or liquefied gas is suitable as fuel. The efficiency is 91%, which is quite good.

Principle of operation
The peculiarity of DEU turbocharged gas boilers is that their combustion chamber is sealed. This is precisely what determines the operating principle of the units in this line. A coaxial chimney is connected to the combustion chamber. This is a universal pipe that performs two functions at once:
- removes gas combustion products;
- supplies oxygen to the flame (no oxygen - no fire).
The movement of gases in a coaxial chimney is only possible thanks to a fan installed above the combustion chamber. There is no classic draft, as in conventional chimneys. The coaxial pipe also allows you to slightly increase the efficiency of the boiler.
When smoke exits through the coaxial chimney along the internal circuit, it gives up part of its temperature to the supply air. If cold air from the street enters the combustion chamber already warm, then there is no need to waste precious joules of energy heating it. The result is maximum efficiency and reduced costs.
Types of Daewoo gas boilers
Turbocharged boilers
The Daewoo boiler is small in size, can be mounted in a kitchen cabinet, and requires an electrical connection.
The device can be located in any room. The device is quite light, about 26 kg, so it does not create excessive load on the wall. It is often placed in a suspended state in the kitchen. Operating principle of the Daewoo DGB 200 MCF condensing boiler:
- Electronic ignition of the gas injector.
- When gas is burned, its hydrogen content turns into water vapor. The condensing device of the boiler is capable of turning the generated steam into liquid, while extracting additional heat and increasing the efficiency of the steam power cycle.

Daewoo gas boiler series
Daewoo is one of the most famous Korean conglomerates, which ceased to exist in 1999. Many divisions of the concern gained independence or merged into the structure of other companies.
Now in South Korea there are two companies that were previously related to the corporation and produce gas boilers:
- Altoen Daewoo Co., Ltd (until 2021 - Daewoo Gasboiler Co., Ltd). Now production facilities are located in Dongtan.
- Daewoo Electronics Co., which produces gas equipment at the factories of the KD Navien company.
Components for boilers from both companies are manufactured in South Korea and Japan, and assembly is carried out automatically.
The following lines of gas boilers from Altoen Daewoo Co. are presented in Russia. Ltd:
- DGB MCF. Boilers with an open combustion chamber.
- DGB MSC. Boilers with a closed combustion chamber.
- DGB MES. Condensing type boilers with a closed combustion chamber. Models in this line have a weekly operation programmer, an autonomous control panel, and simplified chimney connection.
All models of the listed lines are wall-mounted, double-circuit, that is, designed for heating and hot water supply.
Daewoo Electronics Co. There are two lines of gas boilers: wall-mounted “DWB” and floor-mounted “KDB”. They have their own characteristics, including error codes that differ from competitor models. However, these boilers are not widely used in Russia.
Therefore, this article will only provide error codes for gas boilers from Altoen Daewoo Co., Ltd.

Daewoo gas boilers are rightly recognized by users as highly reliable and ready for use in Russian municipal conditions.
In order for the service life to be as long as possible, the owner will be required to strictly follow production instructions and routine maintenance. Maintenance work should be carried out in the summer, long before the start of the heating season, so that there is enough time to correct any identified faults.
Daewoo boiler error codes
Error E0 - Problem with the room temperature sensor. The temperature sensor has failed or its connection has broken. Temperature sensor in the control panel. Replace the damaged part with a working one. Error E1 - Reduced pressure in the heating system. The coolant is low pressure or has leaked. Leakage of the Daewoo boiler or heating system. Malfunctions and adjustments The Daewoo Gasboiler DGB 160 MSC does not heat the water to the set temperature. The water heats up to 34 degrees and the burner turns off. Water pressure is good. Tell me, what could be the matter? You need to check the gas inlet pressure. It is also possible that the secondary heat exchanger is clogged or the gas valve is incorrectly adjusted. Boiler 100 MSC and remote control DBR-W21. When you turn on the hot water tap, the gas burner does not start, and the remote control lights up and goes out again several times. What could be the reason? There may be several options: 1) the control unit is faulty, 2) the remote room thermostat is faulty. I have a gas boiler Daewoo Gasboiler 130, yesterday the burner ignition stopped working - and it does not work for either hot water or heating, there were no problems before. What is the reason? There can be many reasons: 1) the ignition electrodes do not work, 2) the gas valve is faulty, 3) a leak from the primary heat exchanger, etc. Problems started with the Daewoo DGB-250 MSC - 29 kW boiler. The pressure gauge is round. Remote control DBR-D21. The unit starts to work and water begins to flow from the water filter, both below and above. It drips, then flows, then stops, and after a while it starts dumping again until the pressure drops to zero. Then it gets up and throws an error. After adding water it starts working. The pressure in the expansion tank is 0.8 - 1 atm. Most likely, the auto-air valve or the gasket under the auto-air valve needs to be replaced. I have a DGB 300 msc boiler, it gave an E3 error. After this, the service center repaired the circulation pump (replacing bearings, impellers and covers), and also cleaned the heat exchangers and filters and the unit itself from scale and soot. We repaired it and turned it on, the water pressure in the system is maintained, there are no gas leaks. The device turns on, the flame lights up in the chamber for 10 seconds, and after 5-10 seconds hot water flows, after which it turns off and displays error E3. During operation, the body of the DHW heat exchanger is cold. On the control panel: The DHW temperature mode is set to 54C; when turned on, the temperature rises from 0 to 41 and displays error E3. Most likely, the three-way valve is faulty or the secondary heat exchanger (DHW) is clogged. I have a Daewoo 100 wall-mounted boiler, which is in its third season. It worked normally, but now it does not produce the set temperature (set to 50 degrees), it reaches 48-49 and the unit suddenly turns off and the temperature creeps up to 80-85. What to do? You may have poor circulation in your heating system. The filters on the heating system need to be cleaned. Error EE, fan does not start. Model DGB-300. Most likely the fan is faulty. Most likely the fan needs to be replaced. Malfunction of the Daewoo Gas Boiler 160 boiler. When turning the filling valve of the device, water does not flow. What could be the reason? Perhaps the boiler feed tap itself is faulty or there is no water at the inlet of the feed tap. Gas boiler DGB-100 MSC. The error appears once every two to three minutes, then the flame lights up again. What is this and how to deal with it? We recommend checking the primary heat exchanger for clogging factors. If everything is fine with the chimney and heat exchanger, then the supply and exhaust ventilation is not working well. We recommend checking the height of the chimney to see if there is any air leakage (the chimney from the boiler is not inserted tightly), there is no air flow (perhaps the windows and doors are hermetically sealed), or the ventilation duct is not working. I have a wall-mounted boiler Daewoo-130. The problem is that at the given DHW temperature it is 50 degrees. The device continues to heat water up to 90 degrees, and does not respond to the set temperature. The technician came and changed the temperature sensor, but the problem persisted. What is the reason? There may be several reasons: 1) the secondary heat exchanger is clogged, 2) there is a small flow of water through the secondary heat exchanger, 3) the control unit is faulty, 4) the control unit is not adjusted for gas pressure. In 2013 I became the owner of a Daewoo Gasboiler DGB-100 MSC. Less than a year later, all sorts of problems began to emerge. We had to replace the primary heat exchanger, and then the secondary heat exchanger also failed. The problems did not end there; the pressure in the system began to increase. And now, once again, the pressure, like a car’s speedometer, either drops to 0 or goes off scale. Perhaps you have not carried out commissioning work during which gas pressure adjustment is made. If these measures are not taken, the primary heat exchanger will fail. Failure of the secondary heat exchanger indicates that the temperature is too high or the water quality is not up to standard. Adjustments are definitely necessary, because... Salt deposition occurs when the device operates at high temperatures. You may have a faulty expansion tank (due to lack of maintenance) or no additional expansion tank on your heating system. All requirements are written in great detail in the passport. If you comply with all the requirements written in the passport, there will be no problems with it. DGB-350 MSC - when power is applied, error U8 and a sound signal appear. The resistance of the temperature sensor is about 70 kOhm at 16 degrees. What resistance range is acceptable for this sensor? Error code U8 – temperature sensor malfunction. The average resistance value at 20 degrees is 50 kOhm. The Deo gas boiler writes error E1 and does not heat the water, although the pressure is visually very strong. The heating does not start. What to do? Error code E1 - no water in the boiler. It needs to be nourished. Model Daewoo DGB 130. It worked flawlessly for 7 years, after which the pump broke, it was replaced and now it doesn’t stop - it works constantly. What can be done? It is necessary to turn the unit on and off several times on the control unit, in different modes (continuous, timer mode) by rotating the right knob. The blocking mode should disappear. Malfunction of the Daewoo 100 boiler. How can I go to the submenu to set the pump to work only together with the burner? You need to press buttons 1,3,7 on the remote control (1 - button to turn on the heating, 3 - button to switch the mode by coolant or room temperature, 7 - increase the “triangle” parameter) simultaneously. Set mode P0 – standard factory setting mode; within the range of the heater operating time set on the timer, when the burner is turned off, the pump also turns off. The DGB wall-mounted boiler worked fine for six months, then it lights up three times and the U0 error pops up. I replaced the flame sensor, worked for three hours and again U0. What to do, what is the reason? Error code U0 – the flame sensor does not detect combustion. It is necessary to make sure that there are no objects blocking the flame sensor; the mica window must be in its place in front of the sensor. It is also possible that the flame height is very small and the sensor does not see it (you need to add the amount of gas using the regulator located on the control unit). Boiler Daewoo Gasboiler DGB-160, error code E8 on the room remote control. Error code E8 - malfunction of the temperature sensor in the heating system. It is necessary to check the connection to the control unit and, if necessary, replace the temperature sensor in the heating system. Writes error E1, but the point is that the pressure rises in the device, i.e. Before this it worked at this pressure, but now it doesn’t even turn on. It has been in operation for 6 years now. Could it be the pump? Most likely, the pressure gauge on the device is faulty. Model DGB-160. The make-up is constantly open, if you turn it off. The pressure at the sensor immediately rises. It sounds like there is only water in the expansion tank, no air. We assume that the expansion tank is not working, what could be the reason? It is necessary to pump up the expansion tank to 1-1.2 atm. (into an empty expansion tank without water). You also need to pump up the additional expansion tank on the heating system (if there is no additional expansion tank, you need to install it). We have a Daewoo 160 gas wall-mounted boiler. The problem is this: when hot water is turned on, the pressure indicator on the device drops, the pressure in the expansion tank is normal, the tank is new. Tell me what to do? The supply valve may be open. Heating water flows into hot water. It is necessary to close the feed tap. Daewoo dgb 160, the three-way valve periodically sticks. What could be wrong with him? Most likely, the three-way valve needs to be replaced. But before that, we recommend checking the supply voltage. We have a problem with the 300 msc boiler, it systematically overheats. Error E3 appears. There are many possible reasons: 1) the circulation pump is faulty, 2) the system is air-filled, 3) the filter in front of the circulation pump is dirty, etc. When you turn on the hot water, the unit begins to vibrate and after some time displays error E4. Everything is fine with the chimney, they checked it. How to eliminate vibration and this error? Most likely, the main heat exchanger and fan (if the model is turbocharged) need to be cleaned. The fan may also need to be replaced. Wall-mounted boiler DGB 250. How to replace gas with liquefied gas in the board? Have the injectors (15 pcs.) been changed, and is it necessary to change the flame height? You need to switch the dip switches to LPG mode. The gas valve also needs to be reconfigured. What should be the pressure in the expansion tank dgb 200? The pressure in the expansion tank should be approximately 1.0 bar, provided that the pressure in the system is maintained at least 1.2 bar. Daewoo boiler. Error E2 pops up all the time, before that it worked fine, after 3 months it started to turn off on its own with error E2, it would work for a minute and turn off, it would turn on and turn off again. What is the problem? Error code E2 – no draft in the chimney. The chimney may be narrowed or clogged. The main heat exchanger may also be clogged. Gas boiler Daewoo 350, in operation for two years. Recently, periodically (once a month) when the DHW is turned on, error E3 comes on. Heating is turned off. After rebooting from the remote control everything works fine. What could be the problem? Error code E3 – poor coolant circulation. There may be a malfunction in the circulation pump, or the filters or secondary heat exchanger may be clogged. Such a problem: Boiler Daewoo Gasboiler DGB-160 MSC. A couple of days ago the pressure began to drop and I noticed a leak from the strainer.
