Geyser junkers wr 275 1 instructions

Common breakdowns

Often the device breaks down due to improper use.
It happens that this happens due to corrosion, poor water quality and electrical surges. If a defect is discovered after purchase, it will be repaired free of charge at the service center. Paid repairs will cost approximately 1,500 rubles. The price depends on the complexity of the breakdown. It is recommended to take the device to the service yourself in order to save on delivery or calling a private technician. The most common malfunctions are:

  • water leak;
  • overheat;
  • the occurrence of loud sounds emanating from the device;
  • the water does not heat up;
  • The sensor stopped working.

Basically, these breakdowns occur due to the formation of a large layer of scale. In order to repair the device yourself, you need to determine the cause, purchase original spare parts, follow the recommendations of specialists and study the basic rules for repairing this type of boiler.

After repairs, you must make sure that all fastenings of the device are correctly secured and that no gas leaks occur during operation. Repairing the device yourself is only permitted if you have such experience. Only original spare parts purchased from Bosch should be used.

Device cost

The cost of the device depends entirely on the size (standard or mini) and its version (B, P, G).
On average, the price for type B varies from 10 to 13 thousand rubles, for type P from 6.8 to 9.7 thousand rubles, for version G from 11 to 12 thousand rubles. Each device is equipped with detailed instructions, which describe the technical components of the device, instructions for installation, configuration and care of it. The manufacturer recommends not to install the device yourself, but to trust specialists from the gas service. After all, incorrect installation can not only break the device, but also cause significant harm to an inept installer.

Now the time has come to write an article not about computers and 1Ski, but about repairing a Bosch/Junkers WR13 gas water heater. Who would have thought that an IT specialist would get into it. It’s a tradition that such things are best left unchecked in the departments of gas companies and without special knowledge. In fact, there is nothing terrible there, and with more or less straight hands, you can do it yourself. Moreover, there is a crisis in the country and I want to save money. It all started when the water heater stopped going off when the hot water was turned off, I had to run and turn off the gas manually. Googling suggested that two main blocks are responsible for this: the hydraulic fittings (water unit) and the gas fittings. They are connected together in such a way that when water is supplied, the water unit, using a membrane pressing on the pin, presses on the gas valve, thereby opening the gas supply. When the water is turned off, the gas valve closes. In general, the problem is somewhere here! (number 14 in the picture)

So, let's get started...Here is our patient:

Description and type of geyser Junkers

All we need is 2 screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead) and a wrench to unscrew the nut securing the water pipe. For safety, we will shut off the water and gas supply to the apartment. Remove the protective casing by unscrewing the two screws from below:

And then I saw a picture of oxides at the attachment point. The mechanism was blown apart and water leaked out. The metal oxidized and began to jam the gas valve (it stopped returning to its original position). This is the reason for not turning off the gas supply! Let's try to clean everything up as much as possible and develop the valve itself:

It should be pressed inward and return to its original position. Now let’s disassemble the water block itself:

And the lid itself has fallen apart over time (the column is currently 7 years old):

Description and type of geyser Junkers
As it turned out, spare parts for gas water heaters are not so easy to find. And the prices for them, frankly speaking, are outrageous. With the price of a new Bosch Junkers GWH 13 P (WR13-2 P2) speaker – 10,000 rubles. I found the cheapest membrane in the city (code 8700503083) for 1,400 rubles. and water fitting cover WR10, 11, 13, 15 (code 8705500105) for RUB 2,400. Total 3600 rub. More expensive than a third of the column. So before you start repairing, think about whether it is necessary. But it was already too late... the column was disassembled and I didn’t want to install a new one, so I decided to continue what I started! (although I almost freaked out and didn’t go for a new Chinese one for the same money) The picture shows old and new parts. The difference is immediately visible:

Now we install a new membrane and water valve cover, assembling everything in the reverse order:

Today it is impossible to imagine a city apartment without a gas water heater. - This is the most affordable and reliable equipment for heating cold water. The column simultaneously supplies hot water to several water supply points - to the faucet in the kitchen, to the faucet and shower in the bathroom. A breakdown of the unit entails a lot of everyday inconvenience.

Regardless of their service life, speakers from even the most recognized manufacturers sometimes fail. Insufficient water heating speed, yellow or green flame in the burner, loud hum during operation, black soot flakes are typical consequences of non-periodic or unqualified maintenance of units.

Breakdowns and repair methods for speakers

The main reason for the failure of a gas instantaneous water heater is mechanical or natural wear and tear of the working elements of the device. Mechanical wear includes cracking of the membrane gasket, failure of the solenoid valve, and combustion of the thermocouple. Natural wear and tear of components is clogging of the water purification filter, contamination of the heat exchange unit, clogging of pilot tubes and burner nozzles.

The wick fades after releasing the gas button

This is the most common device failure. The cause of the breakdown is a clogged igniter channel or failure of the bimetallic sensor.

To eliminate the malfunction, you should call a service center technician. The technician will clean the column, thereby extending the service life and warranty of the water heater.

The column does not heat the water quickly enough

It happens that the column does not heat running water quickly enough, and when cold weather sets in, it does not work at all. Check the integrity and flexibility of the membrane gasket. If cracking or loss of flexibility occurs, replace the membrane with a new element. If the structure of the membrane is not damaged, clean the surface of the gasket and put the element in place.

To ensure that the dispenser operates without failures, perform maintenance on the unit once or twice a year. To do this, it is recommended to contact our company. The first maintenance is carried out before the onset of winter cold, and repeated maintenance is carried out in the spring, after the heating season has passed.

The column locks after a few minutes of operation

Check the air draft in the chimney duct. To do this, attach a sheet of paper to the chimney opening. The sheet of paper should be held on the wall by the flow of outgoing air. The second way to check traction is with a burning match. Place a burning match near the chimney opening and observe the flame. If the flame rushes towards the chimney, the draft is normal; if it deviates from the channel, the draft is broken.

To restore air draft, clean the chimney of soot, dust, and small debris. To conduct a complete audit of the gas exhaust system, contact specialized companies. Trained engineers will conduct a comprehensive system check using special equipment.

Repair of geysers at the customer’s address

Regulatory requirements prohibit the dismantling of gas instantaneous water heaters that are connected to the main gas pipeline. According to the rules of the gas supervisory service, the user must call an engineer to his home to carry out service work.

To carry out scheduled maintenance or repair of a gas water heater, a routine or comprehensive audit of the flue gas removal system, please contact our company. We will send trained installation engineers who will check the technical condition of the chimney and unit, identify possible malfunctions in the operation of the equipment and eliminate breakdowns.

Almost all Junkers wr 10 geysers and Junkers wr 275 geysers are adapted for countries such as Russia. These heating devices have their own advantages, such as:

  • They are adapted to a gas pressure of 13 Mbar for Russia. Compared to Europe, the pressure in the gas pipeline there reaches 20 Mbar. If your Junkers dispenser is not adapted to gas pressure, it may be less productive. And this point is important.
  • In multi-storey buildings, a Junkers geyser can operate stably at a pressure of 0.1 ATM. And this is a very good indicator.
  • The design of the Junkers geyser is made in such a way that such heating devices can heat from 11-20 liters of water per minute. It should also be noted that in these columns the water itself can be mixed in the mixer.
  • The Junkers geyser has flame modulation, which allows it to automatically change power depending on the water supplied.
  • It has high-quality German assembly and a 2-year warranty on the device, as well as a long service life, if, of course, you adhere to all safety and use rules.
  • Low price for Junkers geysers, unlike its analogues.

Types and prices of Junkers brand geysers

All gas water heaters from the German manufacturer Junkers are divided into three types according to the ignition method. Such speakers with the types listed below can be easily ordered from an official dealer, as well as in a specialized store. They are affordable, and you will always find spare parts for them in stock. The German manufacturer tried hard and invented this speaker for people on a low budget.

The B series includes speakers that do not have a burning igniter. In such speakers, ignition occurs using batteries. In this case, the Junkers column turns on automatically and has several security systems such as:

  1. Controls cravings.
  2. Presence of a fuse in the device.
  3. Flame adjustment is ionization.
  4. The presence of a malfunction indicator in the device.

But the flow of water in this type of column is regulated depending on the pressure you have in the tap (water supply). Almost all Junkers Bosch geysers are made of high quality copper. Service life is at least 10-15 years. Also, you will find only positive reviews about the Junkers gas water heater.

Junkers gas water heater diagram

The P series includes piezo ignition speakers. In this case, the pilot light is constantly on when the column is turned on. In this series, the water flow is regulated separately. But the flame control is only thermoelectric. The instructions for a Junkers gas water heater of this type are complex and require additional study.

Series G - ignition works using technology such as “Hydro Power”. In these columns, the minimum water pressure reaches 0.35 ATM. There is no burning pilot light.

Such a column from the generator carries out ignition. The column can simultaneously provide up to three water points. These models are available in two sizes (types): standard and mini.

They have the same equipment. The price only varies depending on the size of the column. Spare parts for speakers can also be found in any specialized store.

You bought a gas water heater, it served you for quite a while and suddenly it stops working. In this article we will talk about the malfunction of Junkers geysers. Yes, surprisingly, they break too.

The Junkers gas water heater does not light up.

First you need to make sure that the pilot light is lit in the column. If for any reason the pilot light does not light, then you need to call the gas service. Or clean the pilot light yourself. In this case, the jet is cleaned in the igniter. It may also be that the gas supply is not supplied, but this should be visible on the column indicator.

Another reason that the gas water heater does not light up may be that you have no draft in the ventilation well. It is very easy to check whether there is draft in the ventilation shaft.

Junkers gas water heater display

A sheet of paper is leaned against the outlet of the ventilation shaft, or you can hold a burning match. If you find that there is no draft in the well, then you can clean it with your own hands. If you don’t want to clean the ventilation well yourself, it’s better to call the gas workers.

Another reason that the Junkers geyser does not light up may be that the water membrane located inside the equipment has failed. If your column is old and has been in use for a long time, then over time the membrane will deform under stress. It can tear and fray. It should be noted that the membrane cannot be repaired; it must be replaced.

We also recommend that when disassembling the heating device, pay attention to the filter, which is located in the water inlet of the heating device. The water filter can be replaced with your own hands, without requiring a call from a gas service technician.

The next breakdown is when the Junkers gas water heater goes out.

If you turn on the gas water heater and it suddenly goes out while working, then the problem is with the temperature sensor, which is responsible for overheating of the water heater. A sign of a non-working temperature sensor is that the burner is on, burns, and then suddenly goes out after some time.

You are trying to rekindle it, but it doesn’t give any results. After about a few minutes, you can turn on the gas heating device again. The speaker works, and then goes out again.

This occurs due to the sensitivity of the sensor. The column may also turn off because the insulation of the sensor conductor has worn out. In this case, the wire is exposed and it touches the body, which is why there is a short circuit to the body. In this case, the safety valve is activated.

Junkers geyser body

The speaker makes popping noises when operating.

There can be many reasons. Here are some of them:

  1. The initial gas pressure is too strong. The Junkers column lights up and burns very actively, which causes a bang (flame failure).
  2. The gas pressure is weak, as a result of which air enters the inside of the device and a bang occurs.

In these above cases, the Junkers geyser requires cleaning and adjustment by an experienced technician.

Also, when cleaning and troubleshooting, you will need spare parts for the Junkers gas water heater, which can be immediately purchased from the technician who will deal with the breakdown.

If you have a question about how to clean a Junkers geyser, you can read this in the instructions, and also contact the gas service.

If during operation the column produces a low water temperature, then this is most likely due to the low power of the device. It simply cannot cope with heating the water. If you still have a low-power water heater, we advise you not to open the hot water taps in the toilet and kitchen at the same time. This will allow you to quickly heat water with a low-power device.

Naturally, the wick in the Junkers gas water heater may go out. Most likely your column is clogged. Another indication of a blockage may be that the flame is yellow. We recommend calling the gas service immediately.

Geyser Junkers - bottom view

Another breakdown of the Junkers may be that during operation there is a smell of gas .

This is the most dangerous breakdown, which threatens with serious consequences. In this case, you need to turn off the heater, ventilate the room and call the gas workers.

At the end of this article, I would like to tell you that we do not recommend repairing, cleaning, or connecting the device yourself.

This type of work requires caution and can only be performed by knowledgeable specialists in their field.

Reviews of geysers Junkers

Evgeniy, 27 years old, Astrakhan

We bought the speaker two years ago. During the work it copes with its task. The Junkers water heater has a small power, but it is enough for us to supply uninterrupted hot water. There is a child in the family.

And when there is hot water in the tap it is very convenient. During all this time there was not a single breakdown. I was completely satisfied with it. The price for spare parts is also good. Our family was satisfied with the purchased product.

Vera Grigorievna, 48 years old, Tula

We live in a private house away from the city. In these places there are constant shortages of hot water. We purchased a Junkers gas water heater. For all the time, not a single breakdown. There is always hot water in the tap. Naturally, it’s not boiling water, but you can wash dishes and swim, of course. I didn’t think that such a low-power speaker could cope with its task.

Open type how to start a gas water heater

Flow-through geysers installed in residential premises cause a lot of controversy. It should be noted that modern geysers do not pose a danger if you follow all the rules for their use. Everyone who lives in an apartment or house and uses such a column to heat water should know the rules for handling a water heater.

Description and type of geyser Junkers

If there is a large accumulation of gas in the room, it is necessary to open the windows to reduce the gas concentration

It is important to know that if there is gas in the room, turning on electrical appliances and fire is strictly prohibited. If the water heater is not working properly, you should call the gas service.

How to light an open type column:

It is strictly forbidden to light a fire if there is no reverse draft in the chimney. Do not turn on the device without understanding the instructions. It is important that the room is equipped with a constant flow of air. You cannot repair or make changes to the operation of the gas water heater yourself.

When lighting, do not touch the front of the panel. When turning on the speaker, it is better to set it to low power. It should be noted that modern models of speakers are equipped with safety devices that stop the operation of the speaker if there is no traction.

Advantages and disadvantages

The device has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include the following characteristics:

  • equipped with flame modulation;
  • increased security;
  • adaptability for use in Russia;
  • wonderful appearance.

Thanks to its design, Junkers will fit perfectly into any interior.
The device operates at a gas pressure of 13 Mbar. This pressure is present in all gas pipelines in Russian homes. If we compare it with European pressure (20 Mbar), then it is significantly lower, which creates problems when purchasing other geysers. The device functions effectively in a multi-storey building, where the pressure in the water supply system is very low (works from 0.1 ATM.) Junkers has increased safety and low cost in comparison with its analogues. When the water pressure changes, the device will automatically select the power at which water heating will be optimal. The device is assembled by German designers and has a 2-year warranty. With proper installation and operation, the device can last more than 13 years.

Among the disadvantages are

the fact that in most modifications of Junkers geysers there is an increased noise level. During operation of the device, problems appear with the heat exchanger and leaks in the seals, which creates a risk of ruining the floor covering under the gas water heater or even flooding the neighbors.

About the benefits

All Junkers geysers were adapted by the manufacturer to Russian operating conditions:

  • Gas pressure - this indicator in Russia is somewhat different from the European one. Therefore, a dispenser that is not adapted to natural gas pressure according to Russian standards can significantly reduce its performance.

Junkers designers have created a special version of water heating devices for the Russian market.

  • Water pressure - a common problem is low water pressure, especially in apartments located on the top floors of old buildings. The Junkers geyser is capable of operating at any water pressure.
  • High performance - the products of this brand are in no way inferior to such well-known brands as Bosch, Ariston or Mora.
  • Modulation - all Junkers speaker models are equipped with a special flame modulation system. That is, the power of the unit will change automatically depending on the amount of water flowing at a particular moment.
  • Safety - the products of this brand are equipped with all the necessary elements that guarantee safe operation, namely, control of draft, flame and overheating.
  • The service period is 30 years.

The purpose of this article is to teach us to understand the operation of speakers. But articles are different. Moreover, it is not clear where they came from. Hence the Question: Why can the article be trusted?

In fact, to choose a gas water heater, due to the lack of information necessary to make a decision, we all start doing the same idiotic Internet thing, looking for reviews about gas water heaters.
The reviews we come across are quite varied, but for some reason they are very, very subjective. Sometimes they are just funny and written at a kindergarten level, like “Don’t mess with Natasha, she bites.” In general, we decided to take a risk and leave our reviews here. It is clear that reviews from spare parts sellers can be highly contaminated by the interests of any speaker seller. Which speaker is the best? Of course, which I sell - and there is no doubt about it. But we have found one option where the basis for achieving our mutual trust will be based on only one thing - knowledge
.
Nothing else. Knowledge on this issue is purely technical
. Now we will look inside the column and try to prove to you that we really know what we are talking about. And at this moment you will simply be nearby. The other way is simply false. Therefore, this article is a kind of result of research. Today there may be the only and best objective version for consultation in our store. Although, it may very well be in six months, we will gain additional knowledge and will tell the story a little differently. Knowing the modern technical level of the average buyer, we consider it our duty to warn that the article is uninteresting and difficult.

Replacement of jets for gas stoves for Hephaestus bottled gas. Instructions.

In order to bring you and me as close as possible to the sensations of an installer who replaces jets for bottled gas on a gas stove, we chose a Brest 300 gas stove that has been in use for many years. And in practical life, quite often it’s mostly old ones that are converted to liquefied gas gas stoves that are delivered to the country or to country houses. When replacing jets, several important discoveries await us, which can only be discussed when we clearly begin to approach the intended goal. A number of necessary photographs will help with this, which had to be taken in order to fully illuminate the implementation of the task.

A Junkers geyser installed in your home will provide quick preparation of hot water and will delight you with its excellent appearance. This is modern water heating equipment manufactured using advanced technologies. However, the use of advanced developments did not deprive Junkers geysers of certain disadvantages. However, they are found in many houses and apartments. Here are the main advantages of these speakers:

  • Excellent appearance – Junkers speakers have an excellent, strict design;
  • Wide range of performance options;
  • Convenient control – a minimum of control elements.

Buyers have a large selection of columns to choose from, differing in their performance, thermal power and type of ignition system. Unfortunately, there are no design solutions. Their main advantage is their affordable price. Flow-through geysers from this manufacturer are offered in many stores selling water heating equipment and gas equipment. What do reviews say about Junkers geysers? Our review will tell you about this.

Junkers geysers have received many positive and negative reviews. After reading them, you will be able to make the right choice and choose the most reliable gas water heater.

How to properly light a Junkers gas water heater, complete instructions and video?

    Content:
  1. Junkers speaker design
  2. Installation of a Junkers instantaneous boiler
  3. How to light a Junkers gas water heater
  4. How to clean the column yourself
  5. Malfunctions and methods for their elimination

The Junkers company existed until 1932. From that moment on, the company was purchased by Bosch Gruppe, which, however, did not affect the name of the water heaters produced by the division of the main office.

Junkers flow-through geysers are available in several modifications, differing in the principle of ignition, as well as the type of combustion chamber. Flow-through boilers operating using a pilot burner are popular among domestic consumers. The average service life of a Junkers column exceeds 15 years.

Junkers speaker design

The Junkers brand is considered synonymous with quality and reliability throughout the world. The speakers are distinguished by a well-thought-out internal structure and design. The following types of water heaters are offered to domestic consumers:

  • The company began producing semi-automatic speakers back in 1968. During operation, a pilot burner is used. Ignition is carried out using a piezoelectric element. The main burner turns on when the DHW tap is opened.
  • Automatic - powered by batteries or a hydrogen generator. The series includes simple Junkers geysers with an open combustion chamber, as well as multifunctional models with modulated power. The performance of the burner varies depending on the water pressure.

Only high-quality materials are used in the internal structure of Junkers gas flow columns. All water heaters undergo mandatory testing and are subject to certification.

More information about the technical characteristics of Junkers speakers can be found in the following table:

The marking of the water heater provides detailed information regarding the operating principle and internal structure. A table with explanations of the symbols will help you understand the abbreviations:

W - Geyser R - Power regulator 10 - Max. water consumption (l/min)–2 — Version 2P — Piezoelectric ignition B — Electronic ignition system with batteries (1.5 V) G — Electronic ignition system from a hydrogenerator 23 — Designation number for natural gas operation H31 — Designation number for operation with liquefied gas

S…. - Code of the country

Installation of a Junkers instantaneous boiler

The operating instructions provide a detailed plan for connecting the water heater. In particular, the following is stipulated:

  • installation is carried out exclusively by a qualified craftsman who has the appropriate work permit;
  • the housing is installed strictly vertically and horizontally;
  • the distance between the wall and the back of the case is 5 cm;
  • the minimum distance to the bottom of the column from the floor is at least 80 cm;
  • installation is carried out in accordance with the current SNiP and SP, in premises that meet the requirements for the placement of gas-consuming equipment;
  • Junkers carries out the first start-up of an instantaneous gas water heater in the presence of a gas service inspector and the company making the connection.

How to light a Junkers gas water heater

The vast majority of Junkers water heaters offered to domestic buyers operate in semi-automatic mode. Ignition of a semi-automatic gas boiler is carried out as follows:

  • on the front panel of the water heater there is a valve that opens the gas supply;
  • the button is pressed and the wick is lit using a piezoelectric element;
  • the gas valve is left clamped for another 20-30 seconds;
  • Now the button is released, the flame on the burner should continue to burn.

The pilot burner remains on throughout the day. When you open the hot water tap, the boiler will turn on automatically. Adjustment of the gas water heater is carried out on your own, using two knob regulators: changing the gas and water pressure.

How to clean a Junkers column with your own hands

Any repair work on gas consuming equipment must be carried out by a specialist who has the appropriate work permit. Cleaning the pilot burner and heat exchanger is a job that you must not do yourself. Maintenance is carried out at your own risk.

To clean your Junkers speaker at home you will need to do the following:

  • turn off the gas and water supply;
  • remove the casing;
  • disconnect the smoke receiver and water unit;
  • pull out the heat exchanger.

The water heater radiator is washed in warm water with the addition of any non-abrasive detergent using a stiff, long-bristled brush. You can clean the wick and main burner using a special awl. Clean each nozzle, removing carbon deposits.

Junkers speakers - malfunctions and methods for eliminating them

German water heaters rarely fail. With regular maintenance, the likelihood of a breakdown is reduced to zero. The main malfunctions of the column are the attenuation of the wick and main burner, failure of the membrane, and the water unit. The described breakdowns are associated with low quality water and gas.

Descriptions of breakdowns and methods for troubleshooting Junkers geysers are given in the table:

Why one article at once about speakers from two different brands, Junkers and Bosch? At their core, the Junkers WR-11 and Bosch WR-10 speakers are the same speaker. They have slight differences in the body and handles. For example, on Junkers dispensers you can find a tap that is attached to a water block and is sold together with the dispenser.

This is where the differences, in general, end. Inside the case there is the same filling. Both speakers are semi-automatic and have proven themselves well for their simplicity, maintainability, and the price of new products. They have been very popular in Russia for a long time.

You can do the repair of these geysers yourself, using my step-by-step disassembly instructions.

How does this column work? In order to light it, you need to set the slider on the front panel to the middle position and press on it. Thus, we forcibly open the electromagnetic gas valve and supply gas to the igniter (wick) of the gas water heater.

In order for the gas to ignite, it must be ignited with a piezoelectric element, which is located in the lower left corner of the gas column. After the spark has ignited the gas coming out of the wick (igniter), you must continue to hold the slider button pressed for 10 to 40 seconds. During this time, the column thermocouple warms up.

Then release the slider, the wick should continue to burn without pressing. If this does not happen, then you must repeat the entire procedure from the beginning. If the igniter does not light up, then most likely the column requires repair or maintenance, cleaning the wick (igniter).

After the thermocouple has warmed up, it generates an EMF, which independently holds the electromagnetic gas valve of the column in the open position. The column is ready for use. All that remains is to set the gas flow rate you need using the slider and the water flow rate on the water block.

What happens when you open the hot water tap of the mixer? Everything else is simple. The membrane of the water block presses on the rod, which in turn opens the mechanical gas valve, and gas is supplied to the main burner of the Bosch (Junkers) column. The gas mixture is ignited by the burning igniter wick and heats the water, which flows through the radiator of the gas water heater.

Next, we will consider the procedure for disassembling Junkers and Bosch geysers for DIY repair, cleaning or maintenance. They are very easy to understand:

1.Remove the handle from the water block, set the gas regulator slider to the middle position, unscrew the two self-tapping screws from the bottom of the speaker body (on Junkers there may just be snap-clips) and remove the body.

2. Unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the cap of the gas exhaust device to the body of the column and two self-tapping screws on the strip attached to the cap, which secures the radiator (heat exchanger) of the gas column.

3. Remove draft sensor 1 (it is located on the right side of the smoke exhaust hood), disconnect the wires from it. Remove temperature sensor 2 from the heat exchanger by disconnecting the automation wires from it. Here Junkers and Bosch have slight differences. For Bosch, the wires from the traction sensor are removed, for Junkers they are soldered. Don't try to remove them - you'll only break them.

4. Next, nothing prevents us from disconnecting the gas exhaust cap from the heat exchanger (radiator) and the column body.

5. To remove the heat exchanger, it is necessary to remove the threaded pipe from the left pipe of the heat exchanger, having first removed the latch. Instead of removing the threaded pipe, you can unscrew the hot water hose from it.

From the right pipe of the heat exchanger, you need to remove the tube that connects the heat exchanger to the water block of the gas water heater. It is also attached to a latch; after removing the latter, it can be removed. Rubber rings are used as seals in both pipes. They often leak after disassembly and reassembly, because...

rubber ages and dries out. It must be disassembled carefully. When assembling, I advise you to change the rubber bands; in any case, lubricate the pipes during assembly.

6. Nothing prevents us from removing the heat exchanger. Although... Bosch has two brackets for the heat exchanger stamped on the back wall of the case. It is better to bend them upward. They are not particularly needed and do not affect anything. After this, remove the geyser heat exchanger upwards.

7. Disconnect the pilot tube from the burner. It is secured at the top with such a bracket (if it hasn’t been thrown out before you) and in the area of the jet it is secured in a latch. Use a screwdriver to pry up the tube in the area of the latch and remove it from the grooves at the top.

8. Behind the igniter tube there is a ceramic ignition electrode. It is also attached with a quick-release latch and can be easily removed.

9. In order to remove the burner, we unscrew a pair of screws that secure the burner to the body of the gas water heater, and a pair of screws that secure the burner in the gas block of the water heater. Next, gently press the thermocouple down with a screwdriver so that it comes out of the burner body. You can stagger the burner upwards from the gas block.

10. To clean the burner, we disassemble it into parts. To do this we need to unscrew 4 screws. We separate the two parts of the burner from the gas train.

Actually, the disassembly of the column is completed. For maintenance (cleaning) this is quite enough. The gas block usually does not break if no one has climbed there. There's nothing to do there. This is a factory product. If necessary, you can also remove the water block and disassemble it to replace the membrane or oil seal cover.

We carefully wipe the disassembled elements, rinse them from dust, soot and other deposits.

Particular attention to the heat exchanger. I wash it both outside and inside with chemicals or a solution of citric acid. By the way, it really eats away scale and rust from the inside. If the water is from a well with increased hardness, then this simply must be done at every maintenance, because it becomes overgrown from the inside so that it cannot be blown out with a compressor.

Scale and soot impair heat transfer, increase gas consumption, and can lead to heat exchanger failure. Burnt-out heat exchangers on these columns are rare, but those clogged with soot are very common. Both the Bosch and Junkers water heaters begin to heat the water poorly.

Usually, all these “shoals” emerge at the beginning of winter, when water through the pipes begins to flow colder than in summer.

Dust accumulates in the burner, which enters the apparatus with air, and combustion products fall onto the openings from above. You can’t clean the burner in this column without disassembling it, so drive away all those who suggest you clean the column with a vacuum cleaner—they’re freeloaders!

Thoroughly clean the thermocouple of carbon deposits and soot. I have not encountered burnt thermocouples on these columns. It is better to wipe the insulator of the piezo ignition electrode from carbon deposits and dirt with alcohol, no matter how much it sticks onto the body. Thoroughly blow out any dust from the igniter tube.

Most often, because of this dirt in the tube, the wick becomes weak, smokes, does not heat the thermocouple well, and the column may go out and not ignite. Cleaning the tube usually solves the problem and the column wick lights up. Ideally, the pilot flame should be blue and hit the thermocouple horizontally.

If the wick flame is yellow and the large “tongue” goes up, the igniter clearly needs to be cleaned.

Gas burner Junkers miniMAXX WR 13G

Overall, it’s a good column; it served me for three years, after which its heat exchanger began to leak. Disassembly showed that a crack had formed in it. This was the most serious malfunction, and for three years it worked properly. As it turned out, a flimsy heat exchanger is a disease of all geysers from this manufacturer. The fact is quite strange, considering that the trademark belongs to such a well-known company as Bosch. The verdict is this - if you are lucky with the heat exchanger, the geyser will last a long time. If you are unlucky, you will have to constantly solder the heat exchanger.

Advantages:

  • The absence of batteries allows you to get rid of unnecessary expenses, since ignition is carried out from a miniature generator rotating under water pressure;
  • Solid appearance, no frills;
  • Capacity up to 13 l/min, this is enough for a washbasin and shower.

Flaws:

  • The heat exchanger is flimsy, leaks regularly and requires soldering. Moreover, soldering does not help for long;
  • Sometimes it goes out for no apparent reason, which I have never been able to find.

Geyser Junkers miniMAXX WR 10P

If the burner at the Junkers gas water heater does not light, it’s time to clean the igniter. I came to this conclusion after a year of fiddling with the miniMAXX WR 10P speaker. The device is not bad, but it is not without some shortcomings - and the burner is eloquent proof of this. I bought this speaker for reasons of economy, so I took the model with the minimum power, since I live alone, and usually either the faucet or the shower works for me. The column quickly heats the water and ignites without popping or roaring. I was pleased with the presence of overheating protection and a gas control system - this makes the speaker safer.

Advantages:

  • Quick heating of water, no need to wait long for it to warm up;
  • There are a minimum of controls, there are no unnecessary things, such as self-diagnosis systems;
  • Extremely simple design, you can repair the device yourself, without calling a technician;
  • No need to spend money on batteries.

Flaws:

  • There are often problems with the operation of the igniter, but the burner itself almost never goes out;
  • The manufacturer promised trouble-free starting with minimal pressure, but I would not say that it always starts - in the summer it starts after two or three attempts, when the water is barely flowing.

How to turn on a Junkers geyser - main models and faults

Despite the enormous competitiveness of the water heater market, the Junkers gas water heater remains in a leading position. Great popularity has been achieved through the introduction of innovative solutions and properly designed designs. But due to design features and Western standards, Junkers HSVs are susceptible to leaks and breakdowns when used in Russian conditions.

Reviews about the installations are mostly negative and most indicate that Junkers water heaters break down within a couple of years after the warranty expires.

A simple ignition method: how to turn on a Bosch gas water heater

Using modern geysers usually does not cause difficulties

When purchasing speakers, you should pay attention to the presence of a passport and warranty for the product

It is also very important that the seller provides instructions for its use along with the speaker.

Description and type of geyser Junkers

How to light up a Bosch speaker:

Move the control to the right if it is in the “Off” position. The regulator should move to the “Piezo ignition” position. This means the spark icon and vertical buttons will connect. The start button should be pressed down with your finger while pressing the piezo power button

The fact that the piezoelectric element has triggered will be indicated by characteristic clicks. It is important to ensure that the flame does not go out for the first ten seconds. Then you can transfer the power to the desired level.

After the power is switched to the desired value, the flame constantly burns in the mode that was set. But when you turn on the hot water, the column starts automatically heating the water. It’s easy to turn off the column – you just need to move the slider all the way.

How to set up and adjust a Junkers geyser

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Can anyone explain what is the reason if the spark is lost when starting the WR 13 gas water heater? The wiring of the ignition element has broken. Connect the wires correctly. Igniter failure. We recommend inspecting this element and adjusting it. The spark electrode has failed. Replace it with a new one. There is a problem with this gas water heater. I'm trying to start it, there is a spark, but the igniter does not ignite. How to fix? The igniter nozzle is clogged with dirt. Needs to be blown out. The ignition electrode is in the wrong position. Set it up. Presence of air in the gas network. Remove air. I am using a Junkers WR 275 dispenser. For what reason may the pilot burner go out at the moment of ignition. What problem is this? The thermocouple is inoperative. Should be replaced. The coil is damaged. Need to replace. We installed a Junkers WR 350 geyser. When working in winter, a problem arises. She doesn’t have enough gas, and besides, very often we are supplied with low-quality gas. And since it is made in Europe, it does not have a mode of operation on red gas instead of blue. Inspect the device from below, there you will see a blue plastic seal, and under it a screw. Start it, and while the burner is running, turn the screw counterclockwise. At the same time, watch the flame, and do not overdo it. When summer comes, don't forget to return everything back. If this does not solve your problem, then most likely you have low blood pressure. The Junkers WR 275 dispenser is in operation. In 10 years of operation, this is already the third unit from the same company. I did not service the first one, but it served for 5 years. The heat exchanger is leaking. I repaired it, but it only helped for 3 months. I had to buy a new one. The technician who carried out the installation recommended cleaning. I followed his advice. As a result, it worked for 4 years and broke down for the same reason, the heat exchanger leaked. What could be wrong? Most likely your water is very bad. It is this that reduces the service life of the heat exchanger. I have a Junkers WR 10 gas water heater installed. How can I check why I am not getting gas? Could this be due to incorrect unit settings? There are two types of geysers. The first type is with a continuously burning igniter. In this case, the launch scheme is quite simple. After turning on the device using the start button, gas is continuously supplied to the igniter. The pilot light is on. After 10-15 seconds (this time is necessary for heating the thermocouple), you can press the main burner start button. The igniter burns as long as gas is supplied to it, and the gas supply valve is controlled by a thermocouple. A protective thermostat is also installed in series with this coil, which detects poor draft. It is located at the top of the unit near the chimney. The operating principle of this model is the same and does not depend on the manufacturer. These models are easy to repair, the most important thing is not to touch the gas part. But it very rarely breaks. Most often, all breakdowns come down to poor traction, or problems in the pipeline. The second type is with autostart. They are much more complex. Starting occurs by a signal coming from a microswitch, which turns on when water flows. After this, there is a signal to open the gas valve, gas begins to flow into the igniter within 15-20 seconds. Then the gas supply stops. Simultaneously with the opening of the valve, the piezo ignition generator is activated. The control circuit monitors the igniter based on the ionization current reading. There are no thermocouples provided there. If the ionization current does not appear within 20 seconds, the supply of gas and spark will be stopped. After the hot water tap is opened, the procedure is repeated. If the ionization current appears, the control circuit opens the main gas valve to supply gas to the burner. A modulation unit is installed in series with the burner, which controls the gas supply intensity depending on the water flow rate and its temperature. Often a power regulator is installed there, which allows you to switch the device into winter and summer mode. As soon as the poor draft sensor is triggered, or there is no water movement, the device turns off. What could be the reasons that affect the breakdown of the electronic unit of Junkers WR 13 geysers? Service center specialists refer to voltage drops in the network. This is not clear to me, since the device is not connected to the network. 4 years ago we installed a Junkers WR 13 dispenser. We rarely started it up; there were times when it was not used for several months. About a year ago problems started. It began to turn off, and in the future it was impossible to start it. A specialist from the service department was called to solve the problem. He inspected the device, cleaned it with sandpaper and the thermocouple, and everything worked. But now the problem has returned, and there is no way to fix it. The igniter tube is uncontaminated, the heater is clean, water is supplied with good pressure, all sensors are working, the exhaust pipe is not clogged. It seems to me that there is something wrong with the thermocouple. I called the service center and asked how much the repair cost. I was not pleased with the price: 50% of the cost of the water heater. Does it make sense to carry out repairs, or would it be more rational to install a new one? Is it possible to somehow run the unit bypassing the thermocouple, or install it from another cheaper model? I’ll write to you about my situation, it’s somewhat similar. The igniter stopped burning; if somehow it was possible to light it, then the device did not work for long. As soon as the hot water supply was turned off, the pilot light went out. While studying the reasons, I found out the following. My flame from the igniter did not reach the thermocouple. In this model, the igniter is secured with only two clamps. And, naturally, after some time the igniter tube moves. To solve the problem, it is worth adjusting the gap between the gas supply hole in the tube and the igniter tube itself. Moreover, the adjustment must be carried out so that air enters the tube along with the gas, and there is also draft. Then the flame will be more stable. This will allow him to reach the thermocouple. And the launch itself will be more stable. I can’t find a water pressure adjustment on my Junkers WR 275-1 gas water heater. I read the instructions several times, but found only about adjusting the gas pressure. Could it be a screw located at the bottom of the unit? If the instructions do not indicate the possibility of adjusting the water flow, then it simply is not there. These instantaneous water heaters usually have a flow regulator installed: this is a large knob located on the front. In order for there to be full pressure regulation, a reducer must be installed in the device. But in these models it is not structurally provided. I have a Junkers WR 10 gas water heater installed and connected. It is equipped with piezo ignition. We bought and put it into operation less than a year ago, and there were no problems with it. But this afternoon it turned off: the flame simply disappeared. I tried to light it, but to no avail. I can't even light the igniter. At first I thought there was a problem with the exhaust gas control sensor and started checking the hood. But everything is fine there. There is also gas, and it comes at normal pressure. What could it be? Maybe someone has encountered a similar situation? I would advise you to clean the igniter. You should also make sure that all contacts are in order. Pay special attention to the thermocouple and overheating sensor. How can I reduce the gas intensity? The lamb has already been twisted all the way, but the water is still too hot. Junkers 350 geysers have two adjustment options. The first is with the help of a lamb, which reduces the temperature at the outlet of the unit. This method allows some of the water to bypass the Venturi. The second method is a knob that controls the power of the burner itself. It has three positions: the burner is off, ignition is at minimum power, and ignition is at maximum power. If, as in your case, even with the flow regulator fully open, the water is still too hot, you need to switch the power regulator to minimum mode. After this, the water temperature should become comfortable. If this does not help, then you will have to look for the screw that controls the gas supply. It is located under an aluminum cover. Just don’t forget that before winter, you’ll have to switch everything back. We use the same model as you. It worked for less than a year and broke down. When the pilot light came on, the main burner did not turn on. After determining the cause of the failure, it was determined that transistor Q2 in the electronic control unit was broken. It is this that influences the system to detect a burning igniter and opens the gas supply valve to the main burner. I replaced the transistor with a KP303V (but you can also install a KP303B). Everything worked fine, but a month later it broke again. Again I had to change the transistor. 2 months of quiet work, and again a breakdown. Now, in addition to replacing the transistor, I bypassed its gate circuit with a varistor (390KD07 (39V)). Thus, an additional detail appeared in the diagram. This was enough for the unit to operate uninterruptedly for more than 3 years. I have a Junkers WR 275 geyser installed. I set the gas supply and water pressure using regulators. Moreover, I adjusted it so that the water was supplied at 45 degrees. Today I noticed that the water pressure has changed upward. Just yesterday the water barely escaped from the tap, but today it is actively flowing. The pressure in the system is 3 atmospheres. That is, the water is now supplied the same as when I had my old electric boiler. When I installed this column, I noticed that the pressure became much weaker. But then I decided that this was due to the narrower pipes in the design of the device. And everything would be fine, but the water now heats up very little, and the gas constantly goes out. I set the gas supply to maximum mode and the water speed to the minimum possible. Now it displays 65-70 degrees. But in reality the water is supplied much colder. It's a nice warm temperature, but not even close to 70C. Apart from these two adjustment knobs, I did not touch any other settings. I suspect that the pressure of the supplied gas may have decreased, but then what does the water pressure have to do with it? It is not clear that the display displays 70C. Is this the desired temperature or the real one? And yet, despite the fact that the water supplied to the system is very well purified, I still have an internal filter. You should first check the gas pressure. In the case of pressure, you need to pay attention to the flow. If you cannot change its value using the right knob, the problem is in the water block. If your gas constantly goes out at a normal water supply rate, then the problem is most likely in the modulator, the rod may be stuck, or the springs are broken, and so on. The speaker is Junkers WR 10 in use. I still haven’t figured out the instructions. I have the water flow regulator set in the middle position. At the same time, if you do not touch the gas supply control knob (and it is set to maximum), you will get water flow in the middle position. The modulator sets the gas to the set temperature and keeps it that way. If you use a regulator to change the water flow upward, in theory the water temperature should decrease. This means that the modulator must increase the gas supply so that the flame heats the water more intensely. Right? It turns out that if water consumption is maximum, then gas consumption is also maximum. But for me it turns out the other way around. The water supply speed increases, and the gas goes out. Perhaps something is really stuck there and now you will need to disassemble the entire device. The modulator analyzes only the incoming water flow. And the flow control knob controls the flow of water at a specific point. It turns out that if both regulators are set to the central position, but the water flow has changed for some reason, the modulator adjusts the gas supply to the new conditions. Well, if the water flow was reduced using the handle, then the water flow has changed. The gas regulation does not change, and the water becomes warmer. Now the water temperature is adjusted according to the changed conditions. That is, it turns out that the regulator does not set the water temperature, but its flow rate.

How to light according to ignition type

Manual ignition

This method is already outdated and is used extremely rarely in modern speakers. Such devices are poorly protected both from changes in water pressure and from fire extinguishing.

It is currently not recommended to install such devices at home.

How to light a column with manual ignition:

  • Unscrew the valve on the tap that supplies water to the column.
  • Light the wick using a match or lighter.
  • Open the valve on the tap supplying gas to the column.
  • Sometimes, in order to ignite the burner, you need to wait a little until the air comes out of its channel. To speed up the process, first open and then close the hot water tap several times.

Description and type of geyser Junkers

Piezo ignition

This option of igniting the column is more modern and widespread. It is very simple to use, but it has the disadvantage of increased gas consumption. While the column is not working, the wick is still smoldering inside it, so the gas, although in small quantities, is constantly burned.

How to light a column with piezo ignition:

  • To start, you need to press a button that acts on the piezoelectric element. This will provide a spark to ignite the pilot wick.
  • Open the tap supplying gas to the device.

The following video demonstrates this clearly.

Automatic ignition

This is the most modern and profitable option for igniting geysers. It is also called electric because it is based on the transmission of an electric spark. Its appearance is provided either by batteries or a hydraulic turbine. The combustion will be controlled by different sensors, and as soon as the user turns off the hot water tap, the ignition wick will go out.

How to light a column with electric ignition:

  • Make sure that gas and cold water are supplied to the column.
  • Open the hot water tap.

Watch a short video review.

How to light a Junkers gas water heater?

The procedure for turning on the junkers geyser (including the wr10 2p model) depends on the method of igniting the unit. Ignition is divided into three types, which are indicated in the model labeling.

  1. Marking P indicates the ignition system - piezo ignition. The main feature is a constantly burning igniter. Water pressure and power are adjusted separately using knobs located on the front panel of the unit.
  2. Marking B - ignition is carried out from batteries, works without a constantly burning igniter. Switching on, setting the power value and jet pressure occur automatically.
  3. Marking G - automatic ignition using the HydroPower system. A spark is generated using a hydraulic turbine when the water flow is turned on.

The instructions supplied with the device are not always easy to read, so let’s look at the main points when turning it on using the example of a gas instantaneous water heater with piezo ignition junkers wr10 2p. It is equipped with flame control sensors, draft control sensors and an outlet temperature limiter. The unit is connected to a chimney through which gas combustion products are removed.

The burner is made of stainless steel, the heat exchanger is made of high-quality copper without tin and lead alloys, the water fittings are made of glass fiber reinforced environmentally friendly polyamide.

On the front panel of the device there is an observation window, a power regulator, and a water adjustment toggle switch. The piezo ignition button is located at the bottom of the unit.

Before you begin, make sure that there is air circulation in the room, since the column burns a large amount of oxygen during operation.

Open the cold water shut-off valve and the gas valve. To turn on the device, you need to hold the power control button with one hand and simultaneously press the piezo ignition button with the other hand.

The piezoelectric element creates an electric spark, which ignites the pilot burner. When doing this, be careful not to get close to the viewing window, as there is a risk of burns due to the high temperature.

After the flame ignites, the power regulator button must be held for 15 seconds. During this time, the thermocouple that regulates the flame should heat up.

If the pilot flame lights up, you need to release the regulator button, but if it doesn’t light up, you need to repeat the process. Ignition may not occur if air enters the gas supply system. To correct this problem, keep the power control button pressed until all air is removed from the system.

The required power of the water heater must be set manually, since this type of device is not equipped with a power control system. To do this, you need to move the regulator slider; when the regulator moves to the right, the power increases and, accordingly, gas consumption increases. The maximum value is set when the slider reaches the far right position. In order to save money, set the required power that is comfortable for you.

To change the water temperature, rotate the water volume knob. By turning the knob counterclockwise, the water flow increases, thereby lowering the temperature; by turning it clockwise, the pressure decreases and the temperature increases.

Upon subsequent switching on, the main burner of the device will light up automatically as soon as the hot water valve opens, since the pilot flame will burn constantly. If you use the device constantly, the pilot burner will not turn off. The column turns off when the hot water is turned off. In case of prolonged inactivity, to turn off the device, you must move the power control knob to the left position.

This video shows the process of turning on a Junkers gas water heater with piezo ignition:

Geyser Junkers miniMAXX WR 15P

Behind the strict appearance and good performance lies a poor filling, not much different from the filling of domestic gas water heaters Oasis. Let's start with the heat exchanger - it is incredibly thin, it leaked six months after purchasing the column. Then the gaskets began to leak, they had to be constantly changed, otherwise the neighbors could be flooded. Sometimes the igniter goes out because the gas control is triggered - and it is impossible to understand why it suddenly triggers. It is impossible to repair its “guts”, since everything is very thin, flimsy, and cannot be repaired; I don’t even know how it was developed and how it is produced - this is one continuous drawback. And even the fact that it can work with low pressure does not justify its snotty fragility. This is not a column, this is complete torture.

Advantages:

  • Easy control, no extra knobs and buttons, temperature can be easily adjusted;
  • Good performance, you can open two taps at once or take a shower while someone else is washing the dishes;
  • It doesn't make much noise and doesn't scare anyone with its noise.

Flaws:

  • This column itself has one big drawback, since literally everything in it breaks;
  • Terrible heat exchanger, thin copper that cannot withstand heat;
  • It constantly flows, threatening to flood the neighbors. Who knows how she will break through next time;
  • It cannot be repaired, since it is impossible to repair these “snots”.

User reviews about Junkers geysers

Anastasia: “My husband and I bought a German water heater, with the hope that it would work for a long time and without problems, but a year after the warranty expired, leaks began, and then the water stopped heating altogether. They didn’t do any repairs - they bought a device with similar performance made in Asia.

Sergey: “I purchased a WR 15P and it has been working for a little over a year, without any complaints. The performance is enough for two taps and a bathroom in an apartment - a good option for those who want to save money; the device cost only 10 thousand rubles.”

Arina: “It’s a normal water heating installation, it’s been working for more than three years, except for a couple of leaks, I haven’t noticed anything bad. The previous water heater broke down after two years, but in this one I replaced the gaskets and everything is functioning perfectly. It ignites quickly, is easy to operate, clear instructions - I’m happy, for the money, an excellent purchase.”

Interesting! Despite the “German quality”, not all modern speakers can withstand the Junkers line. Of course, Bosch was able to implement an attractive design, excellent performance and convenience, but a large number of shortcomings are a huge disadvantage.

It is the fame of the manufacturer that contributes to its popularity. During the warranty period, the gas device will perform excellently - this is also evidenced by reviews from the owners of the Junkers dispenser.
