Izovol insulation: description, reviews, technical characteristics

THERMAL INSULATION ISOVOL BASED ON BASALT FIBER

IZOVOL insulation is produced at the Belgorod Plant of Thermal Insulation Materials (BKTM), a new plant with 100% Russian capital. The plant was built and put into operation in 2005. A thorough analysis of the use of thermal insulation materials in the global construction market, the use of the latest scientific developments in the field of insulation production made it possible to create and put into operation a unique technology for the production of high-quality mineral wool insulation, which, today, has no analogues in Russia. Thermal insulation under the IZOVOL trademark is a new generation of natural non-combustible basalt insulation. IZOVOL mineral wool production technology is highly efficient and does not pose a threat to humans and the environment. This technology involves the use of a unique melting device, which allows you to obtain a melt of the highest quality, due to which IZOVOL insulation has one of the best physical and mechanical properties. When producing IZOVOL insulation, the Belgorod plant uses its own know-how, which allows us to eliminate blast furnace slag and coke from production, so the resulting mineral wool basalt insulation is completely safe for humans, does not pose a threat to the environment and is fundamentally superior to most thermal insulation materials offered on the market. MAIN ADVANTAGES OF ISOVOL INSULATION Low thermal conductivity The specific production of Izovol thermal insulation materials allows us to produce products with a thinner average diameter of basalt fibers, which significantly improves the thermal insulation characteristics of the insulation.

Hydrophobicity. Thanks to special moisture-repellent additives, the moisture absorption level for Izovol mineral wool is less than 1% by volume. This indicator guarantees the constancy of the declared thermal conductivity characteristics of the materials and increases the durability of both the insulation and the insulated structure.

High vapor permeability Thanks to the vapor permeability coefficient close to 1, the existing excess moisture can easily migrate through the thickness of the Izovol insulation and evaporate from the surface, keeping the load-bearing structures in a stably dry state. Fire resistance Thanks to the base - basalt fiber, all Izovol thermal insulation without decorative coatings belongs to the class of non-combustible materials, and in some structures it serves as a fire retardant layer, providing the structure with the required fire resistance limits. Sound insulation Thanks to its fibrous structure, Izovol insulation well prevents the propagation of sound waves, ensuring a comfortable stay in the premises.

BRANDPROPERTIES, APPLICATION
Mineral wool thermal insulation boards
IZOBEL, ISOBELLightweight mineral wool thermal insulation boards for use in non-load-bearing building structures such as: pitched roofs with a rafter system, external and internal walls with frame technology, floors where insulation is laid between the joists. IZOBEL brand slabs are an economical alternative to Izovol L 35 slabs
IZOVOL L 35Lightweight mineral wool thermal insulation boards for use in non-load-bearing building structures, such as: pitched roofs with a rafter system, external and internal walls with frame technology, floors where insulation is laid between the joists. Density - 35 kg/m3 ensures reliable fixation of the material between the load-bearing elements of the frame and eliminates its shrinkage during operation. Plates of the Izovol L 35 brand are also used in thermal insulation systems of suspended, ventilated facades, as the bottom layer in a two-layer insulation scheme.
IZOVOL ST 50

IZOVOL ST 90

mineral wool thermal insulation boards of the Izovol ST 50 and ST 75 brands are intended for use in non-load-bearing building structures such as: pitched roofs with a rafter system, external and internal walls with frame technology, floors where insulation is laid between the joists. Densities - 50 and 75 kg/m3 eliminate shrinkage during operation and provide high sound insulation characteristics. Plates of the Izovol ST 50, ST 75 and ST 90 brands are also used in thermal insulation systems of suspended, ventilated facades. Isovol ST 50 and ST 75 slabs are used as a bottom layer in a two-layer insulation application scheme, and Izovol ST 90 slabs are used as a top layer in a two-layer insulation application scheme or as a single layer in a single-layer application scheme
IZOVOL B 50

IZOVOL B 75

IZOVOL B 90

mineral wool thermal insulation boards of the Isovol B 50, B 75 and B 90 brands have all the properties of the Izovol ST brand boards, however, the B brand boards are covered with fiberglass on one side. The purpose of the coating is to prevent possible weathering of mineral fibers during operation. One of the areas of application of grade B materials is the production of ventilation equipment
IZOVOL F 100Mineral wool thermal insulation boards Izovol F 100 are intended for use in thermal insulation facade systems using thick plaster layers and metal load-bearing mesh.
IZOVOL F 138

IZOVOL F 150

Mineral wool thermal insulation boards Izovol F 138 and F 150 are intended for use in thin-layer plaster facade systems using fiberglass reinforcing mesh. The peel strength of the layers is 15 kPa.
IZOVOL K 100

IZOVOL K 120

Mineral wool insulating boards designed for insulating floors using cement-sand screeds as heat and sound insulation. The compressive strength for slabs of the Izovol P 100 and P 175 brands is 25 and 70 kPa, respectively.
IZOVOL KV 150Mineral wool thermal insulation boards designed for insulating flat roofs on various bases, for example, profiled metal sheets or reinforced concrete slabs and ceilings. Izovol K 100 and K 120 slabs are used as the bottom layer in a two-layer scheme for using insulating material. The top layer in such schemes is high-density roofing slabs. The compressive strength for slabs of the Isovol K 100 and K 120 brands is 30 and 35 kPa, respectively.
IZOVOL KV 175

IZOVOL KV 200

Mineral wool thermal insulation boards of increased rigidity, designed for insulating flat roofs on various bases, for example, profiled metal sheets or reinforced concrete slabs and ceilings. Isovol KV 175 and KV 200 slabs are used as the top layer in a two-layer scheme for using insulating material. The bottom layer in such schemes is roofing slabs of grades K-100 or K120. The compressive strength for slabs of the Izovol KV 175 and KV 200 brands is 70 and 80 kPa, respectively.

Type modifications of Izovol mineral wool

Mineral wool Izovol L: thermal insulation for frame structures, interior spaces and roofs. It has a low density coefficient, since it does not require endurance to temporary or permanent loads.

  • Izovol ST: insulation for ventilated facades. The density of the material is average (50 kg/m3), thermal conductivity is low and vapor permeability is high.
  • Izovol K: thermal insulation for flat roofs with a density of 100 kg/m3.
  • Izovol KV: rigid mats for flat roofs with a high level of water repellency and sound insulation.
  • Izovol B: a laminated type of thermal insulation intended for ventilated types of facades. The material is stitched with fiberglass.
  • Izovol F: insulation with flammability class NG and a high level of sound insulation, intended for plastering.
  • Izovol P: durable, rigid and waterproof insulation for fundamental structures, semi-basements and buildings in areas of high humidity.

Thermal insulating modifications of the Izovol brand are widely used for insulating tasks and structures of a civil and industrial nature. Due to its high density and rigidity, the material is used in insulation of highways, bridges and airfields. The NG fire safety class allows the products to be used in the production of equipment, cars, trains and sea vessels. Izovol mineral wool casings are used to insulate pipe systems containing hot and cold media.
