    About protection systems

    Process Execution

    In order not to harm the device, you need to know about the repair of its various parts. Routine maintenance includes several stages, which include inspection, cleaning and adjustment. Before starting work, it is necessary to turn off the system and the source of gas supply. Then wait for the disconnected system to cool down.

    Inspection of Important Components

    This step is necessary to diagnose the condition of the equipment. First, the papers are checked and warranty sealing is carried out to determine compliance of the installation with SNiP and rules of use. The boiler requires electricity and gas to operate, so electrical parts are also inspected.

    First, remove the protective casing from the unit and examine the elements and their level of wear one by one.

    The check is carried out to determine:

    • proper operation of emergency machines;
    • presence of pressure in the gas valve;
    • the state of the ignition electrodes, if any;
    • structural integrity;
    • functioning of electronics;
    • serviceability of connections in gas supply channels.

    Afterwards, the expansion tank is controlled and pumped up, protecting the system parts and compensating the pressure that occurs during the expansion of the coolant. Special instruments are used to examine the unit, protective elements and gas communications. The pressure in cold water will average 1.1-1.3 bar. The exact figure depends on the type of equipment. After heating, the value should not be higher than the number indicated in the documents from the boiler.

    Cleaning from contaminants

    First you need to empty the equipment and inspect the gas burner, determining the direction and quality of the flame.

    The following parts must be removed and cleaned one by one:

    1. Support washer. A device that controls the position of the torch in relation to the installed heat exchanger.
    2. An air sensor that regulates the ratio of gas and air mixture.
    3. Flame detector, triggered when the draft decreases.
    4. An electrode responsible for igniting the air-gas mixture.


    To prevent scale from clogging the burner, it must be cleaned in a timely manner using a special brush.

    High temperatures and carbon deposits lead to deformation of metal structures. The burner is considered an important working element of the device, so it should not become clogged with scale. The part is cleaned with special brushes. The burner operates normally when the flame is blue. If its color turns yellow, then contamination must be removed from the element.

    To evaluate the burner settings and check its operation, you need to measure and analyze the exhaust gas in the boiler. Use a soft brush and vacuum cleaner to clean the combustion chamber and all parts of the equipment in contact with the torch. A metal product with hard bristles is not suitable for cleaning injectors. The pipe intended for supplying gas to the burner must be removed, disassembled and purged under pressure.

    The heating system has 2 filter parts located in the hydraulic part and on the cold water tap. Salts are deposited on these filters and need to be washed. During inspection, all problems are eliminated and broken elements are replaced with new ones.

    Functionality check

    The operation of the unit without supervision is carried out using automatic control, which can have different levels of complexity. This technique often suffers from voltage surges. It is recommended to fix problems with electronics immediately and adjust the system in a timely manner.

    If the unit does not work correctly, it must be disassembled and the membranes replaced. The inlet part of the gas pipe is also inspected. The entire gas pipeline is studied, especially the pipe connections outside, and the pressure level in it is determined. If there is a need to adjust the fittings, then it is performed. When the paint on the pipes cracks, the product is painted.

    After the work has been done, you need to set the indicators indicated by the manufacturer in the documents, and then check the equipment. The master must fill out papers in which he puts his signature and indicates the date of the next service.

    Troubleshooting

    Let's consider possible malfunctions of wall-mounted gas boilers:

    The cause of boiler malfunction is often the heat exchanger. Made of stainless steel, this important component requires periodic cleaning to remove soot. This is done using a metal brush. The copper heat exchanger is cleaned with a metal sponge for cleaning dishes.

    The boost fan is a rather weak link in the heating system, despite the low rotation speed and the fact that its power comes from direct current.

    If the fan rotation speed does not correspond to the specified one, it is necessary to check the operation of the bearings - perhaps the problem lies with them. To do this, it is necessary to disassemble the fan and remove the stator, lubricate the bearings with high-quality carbon-based machine oil designed for operation at high temperatures.

    If the fan housing heats up and the rotation speed of the blades slows down, it is possible that an interturn short circuit has occurred. In this case, you will either have to purchase a new fan or replace the burnt-out stator winding. This service can be provided at a specialized service center.

    Cleaning the heat exchanger

    It is produced with a solution of hydrochloric acid, purchased in a retail chain and intended specifically for this purpose. Cleaning is carried out for the main heat exchangers of wall-mounted gas boilers and heat exchangers for hot water preparation. The cross-section of the channels of such heat exchangers is small, which is why they are susceptible to contamination by salt deposits.

    As a rule, the water jacket of floor-standing gas boilers is not cleaned. To perform cleaning, the heat exchanger must be removed. To do this, remove the boiler casing, unscrew the supply pipes to the heat exchanger, after draining the water from the boiler.

    We remove the heat exchanger from the boiler. Wear rubber gloves and use a plastic container to collect the spent acid. The method is not complicated

    Carefully pour the acid solution into the heat exchanger until it is completely filled. If the heat exchanger is clogged with scale, active foam will be released.

    Leave the heat exchanger for 10–15 minutes.

    We drain the spent acid into a container and refill the heat exchanger with a new portion. We wait the same ten minutes. Drain the solution and rinse the heat exchanger with running water. We put a piece of hose on the nearest water tap and spill water on the heat exchanger. Let's fill the heat exchanger again with an acid solution. If there is no active release of foam, and when the heat exchanger is spilled with water, no significant resistance to flow is visible, it means that the heat exchanger has been washed and can be reinstalled in the reverse order.
