The Buderus gas boiler is a clear embodiment of the famous German quality. Each technical characteristic of this equipment is a standard that all heating equipment manufacturers strive for, placing their bets on energy efficiency and reliability. All models supplied to the Russian market are adapted to our specific operating conditions - unstable parameters in gas and water pipes, voltage drops and poor water quality. Products of the German brand allow you to save 10-15% of resources.
About company
The Buderus company was founded in 1731. It has been on the domestic market since 2004. The company began with the production of equipment for boiler houses. The first gas heater was released in 1969. Today the Buderus brand is the property of the Bosch concern. The main activity is the production of boilers, boilers and control systems for heating equipment. The manufacturer produces heaters that operate on different types of fuel, as well as devices that can operate on different fuels. has 16 factories in Europe and Asia, as well as a wide network of distributors.
Reviews of Buderus boilers
Among the disadvantages of Buderus products: higher cost compared to analogues. You will also have to fork out money for components. They will have to be purchased in case of repairs after the warranty expires. Service difficulties also arose for those who live far from large populated areas.
Users of the company’s boilers note convenience and ease of control as advantages. They are also popularly considered economical. At least that’s what the owners of solid fuel models say. In general, Buderus confirms the stereotype about the quality of German technology. People have much more positive experiences than negative ones.
Classification
To simplify the choice, all brand products are classified according to several criteria. By installation method:
- wall;
- floor
By design:
- single-circuit and double-circuit;
- with closed and open firebox;
- with atmospheric or forced-air burner:
- with cast iron or steel heat exchanger;
- with natural or forced draft.
The power of manufactured devices varies in the range of 7,000-100,000 W.
Installation
TTKs are distinguished by easy maintenance due to their high structural strength, which very rarely needs repairs. To maintain smooth operation of the unit and prevent breakdowns, it is necessary to regularly clean the combustion chamber.
Installation should only be carried out by highly qualified specialists who are familiar with the design features of each model. When carrying out commissioning work, the presence of a gas analyzer and other testing devices is a mandatory requirement. It is better if the installation is carried out by specialists from the Regional Center of the German company. This will help avoid many problems.
It is necessary to check the flue gas exhaust system and air supply during installation. If deficiencies are found, experienced specialists are able to eliminate them. Installation work, as a rule, does not end with the installation of the boiler. In some cases, additional strapping may be necessary. In order for a wall-mounted boiler to heat water, a second circuit must be installed. This can be done quite simply using additional equipment from the same company.
Strapping is also needed if necessary:
- connect the boiler to a water heater, radiator or underfloor heating system;
- install an expansion tank, pump, measuring or control equipment;
- mount manifolds, hydraulic arrows.
Boiler room requirements
When installing heating equipment, you should pay attention to the basic requirements for the room in which it will be located.
Boiler room features:
- The minimum room area is 7 square meters. m.
- The boiler room must be separated from the residential sector by a fireproof ceiling.
- The door width should be 0.8 m or more. If it leads to an interior room, then it is necessary to sheathe it with non-combustible materials or install a fire-resistant structure.
- The walls and floor must be fireproof (not subject to combustion), so the boiler room floor is made of non-combustible materials. The distance from adjacent walls to the boiler must be at least 0.5 m, the ceiling height in the boiler room must be from 2.5 m.
- A metal or steel sheet should be placed on the floor in front of the boiler to prevent fire from sparks. It is possible to cover all nearby surfaces with such sheets.
- In the room where the TTK is installed, it is necessary to carry out ventilation: for each kW of the heating unit’s power (according to the passport), 8 cm² of the cross-sectional area of the ventilation duct is required.
- The room should be provided with natural light (vent or window).
Types of smoke exhaust systems
The correct choice of a chimney for the TTK will ensure good energy efficiency, heat transfer and will increase the service life of heating equipment.
The chimney can be made from:
- refractory bricks;
- of stainless steel;
- ceramics and glass.
Watch a video about the construction of a chimney.
Which chimney is better for the Third Transport Ring?
In order for the TTK to operate at full capacity, the chimney connected to it must be as straight as possible and high enough. This affects the thrust, and therefore the intensity of fuel combustion and heat release. Level sections of the chimney will allow the internal flow of smoke to gain speed. Manufacturers usually indicate the recommended type of chimney in the TTK passport.
When choosing, first of all take into account the type of fuel:
- when burned, firewood produces +300 °C;
- coal - about 500-700 °C;
- pellets - within 120-250 °C;
- sawdust and granules - from 220 to 240 °C.
Low outlet temperatures are also observed in pyrolysis boilers, so a stainless steel chimney is quite suitable for such gas-generating equipment. For coal-fired units, only ceramics are suitable; wood-burning units function normally with a chimney made of ferrous metals. When purchasing, you should pay special attention to the marking: the number after the letter “T” indicates the temperature at which the pipes are allowed to operate.
Advantages
The German Buderus wall heater is a leader in consumer demand and has all the possible advantages of modern heating technology. Attachments:
- compact;
- silent;
- easy to operate;
- easy to use;
- energy efficient;

How to choose power?
All types of heaters are produced in a wide power range; each buyer can choose the option that best suits the heated area. When choosing power, take into account the following factors:
- average winter temperature;
- features of the walls - their thickness and material;
- windows - their number, type and size;
- ventilation and other nuances.
To simplify the choice, standards are calculated for consumers, W per 1 m²:
- For the middle band - 100.
- For Siberia – 150.
- Polar region - 200.
Description and characteristics of the Buderus boiler
The Buderus boiler meets all requirements regarding safe operation, productive capacity and thermal output, as confirmed by user reviews. Thermal efficiency is determined by the design features and specific functioning of the equipment.
The principle of operation is to use the ability of solid fuel to release gas, which is burned in a separate chamber, which makes it possible to obtain additional thermal energy. To do this, the device parameters are adjusted to create certain conditions for the process of CO release in sufficient quantities (the flow of oxygen is limited, the combustion temperature exceeds 200°C).
What types of Buderus boilers are there?
Condensation
Condensing-type devices once became an innovation in the field of heating technology. They have much greater efficiency than traditional heaters. This occurs due to the use of energy, which in conventional designs simply flies out into the chimney - along with the combustion products. The operating principle of condensation modifications is based on the use of energy losses to heat the coolant. Thanks to the energy of the burned gases, it is possible to reduce fuel consumption. At the same time, the release of harmful substances into the environment is reduced. This is the most economical and energy efficient option.
Wall mounted
Wall-mounted versions are especially widely used for autonomous heating of apartments. Being small in size, wall-mounted boilers are in no way inferior to their floor-standing counterparts in thermal performance and functionality. May have one or two circuits. Their power is usually small - in the range of 7.8-28 kW. But there are also more powerful devices - for large houses and cottages. All wall-mounted versions are equipped with a circulation pump, expansion tank, pressure gauge, thermometer, automatic control system, efficient heat exchanger, burner and other elements necessary for a gas heating device. The main advantages are compactness and lower cost compared to floor-standing versions.
Floor-standing
Floor-standing versions can have atmospheric or forced-air burners. The heat exchanger is usually cast iron. Less often - steel. There are universal modifications - they can use any fuel (gas, pellets, fuel oil, diesel fuel, rapeseed oil). Plus - independence from one type of fuel.
The power of floor-standing devices is greater than that of wall-mounted analogues - 52,000-95,000 W. Thanks to noise-absorbing devices, there is practically no noise. More advantages:
- Smooth adjustment of water temperature.
- You can install additional devices to increase functionality.
- You can connect a water heating tank up to 200 l.
- They continue to operate if the gas pressure drops to 10 mbar.
- Intuitive controls.
- Reconfiguring burners for an alternative type of fuel.

Installation features
Gas-fired heaters are easy to install. The connection and first start-up must be carried out by gas service specialists or workers with special permission - this is exactly what the instructions for users prescribe. Self-installation is prohibited. You should not try to connect and start the boiler yourself - gas workers will never give permission to operate it. Violation of this rule will result in loss of warranty. Setting up and servicing the equipment is also the responsibility of specialists - the user can fix only the most minor problems on his own. But there are requirements that are useful for owners of gas equipment to know about:
- The connection is made through corrugated pipes approved for use by Gostekhnadzor.
- Installation must be carried out in a room that complies with SNiP and PPB.
- When connecting to a chimney, the scheme “one device to one pipe” must be followed. For a cascade connection, a straight-standing coaxial chimney is required.
- Setup and first start-up are carried out together with a gas service inspector - he puts the appropriate marks in the technical documentation.
Even if you know how to connect and configure gas equipment, doing it yourself is strictly prohibited.
The most popular models of Buderus boilers
Let's look at the most famous and widespread models and note their characteristics.
Logano S131
This model is a solid fuel boiler that copes well with heating small private houses. Today this model is available in one variation, the input power of which is 15 kW. To some extent, the unit acts as a long-burning boiler. Thanks to the design features and special settings, you can turn on the mode of slow burning and gradual smoldering of fuel. The key advantage of such a device is increased reliability. The combustion chamber with a wide door has a volume of 38 liters. If you load it completely, the fuel will burn for more than two hours. However, the model also has disadvantages, for example, to clean the grate you first need to dismantle it.
Boiler Buderus Logano S131-15H RU
The combustion efficiency depends to some extent on the quality of the chimney.
Logano S171 W
This sample is a full-fledged pyrolysis boiler, which is made of heat-resistant steel. The model was created on the basis of the previous ones, but it has many new functions, thanks to which the operating efficiency of the heating unit has increased. Due to the fact that a material such as steel cannot provide reliable protection and conservation of thermal energy, the manufacturer took care of this and uses fireclay bricks, which are characterized by high heat capacity and good resistance to burnout. The characteristics stated in the instructions indicate that if all installation rules are followed, the efficiency of the device can reach 90%.
Boiler Buderus Logano S171 W
Logano S 171 W is available in several variations, which differ in the volume of the loading chamber and power indicators:
- 110 l - 20 kW;
- 110 l - 30 kW;
- 133 l - 40 kW;
- 133 l - 50 kW.
Coolants in all units usually operate at temperatures ranging from 70°C to 85°C. Continuous operation time on one load can be 3-8 hours.
You can configure the equipment in such a way that you will automatically receive an SMS notification indicating the current state of the devices.
Long-burning solid fuel boilers Buderus Logano G221
Such boilers are very popular today; they are equipped with a long-burning heat exchanger made of cast iron. The design is very reliable and simple. Most often they are installed in private homes and industrial premises with an area of up to 400 m².
Solid fuel boiler Buderus Logano G221-20
You can load not only coal and firewood into the chamber, but also coke. The operating temperature of the liquid in the heat exchangers does not fall below 90°C. The efficiency is approximately 80%.
This model is represented by a whole line with units of different capacities: 20, 25, 32, 40 kW.
According to the manufacturer. The described device is a universal, highly efficient boiler that can work together with other devices running on diesel fuel or gas.
You can read about combined diesel boilers in this post
One of the main advantages of the model is the presence of an improved automatic fuel supply unit into the combustion chamber.
Design Features
If a single-circuit boiler is designed exclusively for heating, then a double-circuit boiler is also capable of providing users with hot water. Devices with two circuits can be:
- Flow-through. Water is heated in flow mode. The equipment is smaller in size, and the water is heated immediately when the tap is opened.
- Cumulative. There is a boiler - a built-in container for heating water. This is a more economical option.
One of the most popular models of the German brand is Logomax u072 183a. These are real mini-boiler rooms - energy efficient and safe. A high level of security is ensured by built-in sensors. If, for example, the burner goes out, the gas supply will be automatically stopped. There is an automatic system that maintains temperature stability. Filtration of incoming water is also provided.
Preparing for launch
- Connect all pipelines:
- forward (left) and return (right) lines of the heating circuit;
- gas pipeline;
- plumbing for hot water supply.
- Connect the boiler to the power supply. To do this, you need to use a special socket, the design of which has a grounding electrode.
IMPORTANT! Make sure that the boiler is connected to a socket with a functioning ground electrode. Otherwise, the boiler will either not turn on or turn off immediately after starting and become blocked.At this stage it is also important to protect the control board from voltage surges. Electronics are sensitive to such surges and may not work correctly or cause the boiler to shut down.
To protect against voltage surges, use a standard Buderus voltage stabilizer (ideal) or a product from another manufacturer (may be less effective).
- Fill the system with water. Use a pressure gauge to monitor the degree of filling of the system. Stop at 0.8 bar.
Normal operating pressure for heating systems is 1-2 bar. After filling the system with water to 0.8 bar and heating it with a boiler, the volume of liquid will increase and will be just within normal limits.IMPORTANT! If the pressure is insufficient and you need to add more water, first turn off the boiler and wait for the heat exchanger to cool completely. Filling a hot heat exchanger with water can lead to cracks and damage to the working unit.
- Bleed the air from the radiators using Mayevsky valves .
If you forget to do this step, an error will appear on the display. To reset it, after deflating, press and hold the “OK” button. Repeat attempts until the error disappears from the display.
The boiler is now ready to start!
How to connect the boiler?
For piping, only branded components and equipment compatible with Buderus heaters are used. To facilitate the connection of the BKN - indirect heating boiler, single-circuit versions have valves. Supply and return are connected in accordance with the connection diagram specified in the operating instructions. You can connect containers with a volume of 60, 80, 100 and 120 l. Moreover, this can be done even in winter - there is no need to turn off the heating to connect the BKN.
What should the room be like?
Regardless of what brand of equipment is installed and who its manufacturer is, the same requirements are imposed on the premises:
- Natural ventilation is needed.
- Minimum height – 2.2 m.
- Area – from 12 m²
- The doors should not have a threshold. The gap between the door leaf and the floor surface is 1-2 cm.
For turbocharged versions, a reduction in area to 8 m² is allowed.
How much does a Buderus boiler cost?
The price of German gas heating equipment was significantly reduced due to the location of production facilities in Russia. For example, the Logamax U072K wall-mounted device today costs between 30-35,000 rubles. Floor-standing model Logano G124 WS RU - about 70,000 rubles. Such prices and brand recognition predetermined the popularity of Buderus products among Russian consumers.

A brand such as Buderus is one of the most famous heating equipment in the world. At the turn of the century, this German company gained fame mainly due to its reliable floor-mounted solid fuel Buderus boilers. Good reviews from customers, specialists, and German build quality have done their job, and now the Buderus brand is associated, first of all, with reliability and quality.
The only significant drawback was the rather high cost of such equipment. Several years ago, the company merged into a holding company with an equally well-known German manufacturer, Bosch, to produce gas equipment, including in Russia (wall-mounted gas boilers are assembled in Engels, Saratov region).
This allowed them to significantly reduce the price of their gas boilers and water heaters, as well as reduce the delivery time of equipment to retail outlets. In recent years, the holding has also been actively developing a new direction - wall-mounted gas boilers Buderus : double-circuit, single-circuit 12, 18, 24, 28, 35 kW.
In order to get an idea about them and decide whether a Buderus gas boiler is worth buying or not, you need to familiarize yourself not only with customer reviews and prices, but also with the technical characteristics and design of the device, consider the features and model range of mounted boilers.
Having compiled some operating instructions for ourselves, we will determine both the advantages and disadvantages of single-circuit and double-circuit gas boilers of the Buderus brand.
Gas boiler "Buderus Logamax U072"
Model range of gas boilers Buderus Logamax .
The company supplies the Russian market with wall-mounted (mounted) boilers of the Logamax series in double-circuit and single-circuit versions, among which there are several modifications.
1. Buderus Logamax U042 / U044
These are Buderus double-circuit gas boilers with a copper bithermic heat exchanger. They come with a closed combustion chamber U042 K, and with an open combustion chamber - U044 K. They are produced with a power of 24 kW.
2. Buderus Logamax U052 / U054 K
Both double-circuit and single-circuit boilers with a nominal power of 24 and 28 kW are produced. The productivity of hot domestic water for dual-circuit models is 11 and 13 l/min, respectively. They have one bithermal heat exchanger made of high-quality copper.
They are marked as follows: U054 - boilers with an open combustion chamber, with a chimney diameter of 131 mm, U052 - with a closed chamber, i.e. turbocharged boilers. If the article “K” is added to the designation, this is a double-circuit boiler or a combination boiler; if it is missing, it is a single-circuit boiler, for heating only.
3. Buderus Logamax U052 T / U054 T
The main distinguishing feature of these models is the presence of a storage boiler with a capacity of 48 liters. It is used in houses with an increased need for hot water. They are produced with open and closed combustion chambers and a power of 24 kW.
4. Boilers of the Buderus Logamax U072 are the most popular and budget-friendly. We will dwell on them in more detail.
Unlike the models described above, this series has a wide power range: 12 kW, 18 kW, as well as 24 kW and 35 kW. They are produced in dual-circuit and single-circuit versions, and only turbocharged ones - with a closed combustion chamber.
Boilers with forced draft can be used both for a 60/100 mm coaxial chimney and for a 80/80 mm separate smoke removal and air supply system.

The boiler burner ignition is electronic, operation is controlled using a multifunction LCD display, which also displays errors under certain codes in case of problems with the boiler.
For even more correct operation of the gas boiler, the company recommends purchasing a Buderus Open Therm , which already has a built-in ambient temperature sensor. You can also connect a thermostat from other manufacturers.
Buderus gas boilers are adapted to Russian frosts and are capable of operating on natural and liquefied gas, connection diameters: heating - 3/4, water - 1/2, gas - 3/4 inches. Thanks to their compact dimensions (700 x 400 x 300 mm), these boilers can fit comfortably even into cramped kitchens.
Technical characteristics of Buderus gas boilers
Technical characteristics of Buderus Logamax U072 boilers
Advantages of wall-mounted gas boilers Buderus
is a German brand; — low noise; — price from 30,000 rubles; - inexpensive spare parts.
Disadvantages of Buderus gas boilers
