Principle of operation

For example, a wall-mounted 2-circuit turbocharged device “Gepard”. Works for heating and hot water supply. The water is heated in a plate-shaped steel heat exchanger. Combustion products formed during fuel combustion are discharged through a coaxial chimney. Oxygen comes as a result of forced injection - from the street. Monitoring and control is carried out using the display and buttons. On the screen – display of current parameters.

To improve the performance of a closed heating system, a circulation pump is connected. Thanks to the modulation burner, smooth adjustment of the heating of water and coolant is ensured. When you open a hot water tap, the power immediately increases and operating modes switch. When connected, parameters are configured, which can subsequently be changed automatically or adjusted mechanically.

The most popular option is “Bear”. The heater itself and the heat exchanger are made of cast iron. A chimney draft monitoring system has been installed. When the draft is lost, the burner goes out. All models have two circuits. There is electric ignition and smooth power adjustment. You can connect a fan to forcibly remove combustion products.

All floor-standing versions of Protherm have an open firebox. There are “Bears” marked:

PLO – piezo ignition. Two-stage burner.
KLZ - similar to the previous one, but with a 110 liter boiler.
TLO - non-volatile. Atmospheric burner.

"Bison" and "Beaver" are also floor-standing versions. They can operate on gas, solid and liquid fuels, and therefore have a large combustion chamber volume. All floor modifications are capable of operating as part of a cascade. The cascade scheme involves installing boilers in a certain sequence in order to increase the total power. It happens that one device is not enough to heat a large cottage, then a second one is added to it - with the same or less power.

The wall-mounted device is compact and does not take up much space. Until 2015, they were produced with 1 and 2 circuits, conventional and condensing, with an open and closed firebox. In the classic series - models of 25 and 30 kW. Productivity – 14 l/min. Efficiency – 93%. The updated series is available in a larger power range - from 12,000 to 35,000 W. Productivity – almost 17 l/min. The new series received a more powerful hydraulic group and an improved safety system.

“Panthers” are powerful and safe devices that make little noise and are easy to operate. Thanks to the “Comfort” system, which is responsible for the speed of water heating, using hot water becomes as convenient as possible. There is also a new feature that simplifies control - the “eBUS” communication bus built into the screen. This is middle class equipment. Cost – 45-66,000 rubles. How much a particular model costs depends on the power. The series refers to budget versions. "Panthers" are available in three modifications:

24 KOV – open firebox.
24 KTV and 28 KTV – closed chamber.

"Cheetah"

The series is represented by new and old modifications. Previously, devices of 11,000 and 23,000 W were produced, heating hot water at a speed of 11 l/min. They have a high efficiency of about 93%. Aspirated and turbocharged versions are offered, costing approximately 40,000 rubles.

The power of the new “Cheetahs” is 12,000-23,000 W. The rate of heating water in the hot water supply is 11.4 l/min. Cost – up to 42,000 rubles. A distinctive feature is that they make less noise than their predecessors. Increased reliability of the hydraulic unit, enhanced display backlighting and fast water heating - just two seconds is enough for hot water to flow from the tap. The double-circuit Cheetah is a representative of the middle class. Its disadvantage is its low functionality. That's why the price is low. Pros: low cost and compact.

"Jaguar"

Inexpensive dual-circuit device. Mounted type. Power range – 11,000-24,000 W. The temperature is stabilized thanks to the modulating burner. Equipment for private houses and apartments. Floor-standing

The capabilities of a Protherm floor-standing boiler are significantly greater compared to wall-mounted options. For example, their power can reach 4000 kW (for industrial use), and the volume of water heating tanks exceeds 300 liters.

Such equipment takes up much more space than wall-mounted devices and weighs a lot, sometimes requiring a separate foundation for installation.

The main series of floor-standing boilers "Proterm" are called "Bear" and are distinguished by abbreviations, each of which defines the characteristics of the equipment. In addition, the range includes Grizzly boilers, suitable for heating large buildings. Most often they are used to heat air in industrial premises - for example, workshops, workshops, hangars.

Bear TLO

Single-circuit equipment operating on both liquid and main gas, power from 18 to 44.5 kW. It does not require a connection to the electrical network for operation, while having a piezo ignition system.

The series is the most inexpensive of all Proterm Bear boilers, so its power control is single-stage.

Bear PLO

Boilers with one circuit and 2 stages of operation, power ranging from 17–60 kW. They operate on all types of gas and, like the TLO models, do not depend on electricity.

The power is regulated using a two-stage system, except for the Medved 60 PLO boiler, which has only one stage. Boilers with a volume of up to 100 liters can be connected to the equipment.

Bear KLOM

Devices equipped with a boiler with a volume of 90–100 liters have a “winter-summer” mode and an open combustion chamber. The model range is represented by equipment with power from 17 to 44.5 kW. The gas is ignited using electricity, so the boilers can be partially called dependent on sources other than gas.

When using them, it is possible to connect a heating tank using an additional pump. They work with weather-sensitive automation, due to which they save fuel in warm weather, and, conversely, provide the premises with a sufficient amount of heat in cold weather.

Bear KLZ

Double-circuit boilers with a built-in water heating tank with a volume of up to 90 l, capable of providing water flow up to 15.3 l/min. Equipped with protection against freezing and frequent switching on/off. The power of the models ranges from 17–44 kW, and they all have 2 stages of operation.

Their operation is almost completely automated, due to which boilers can reduce their performance depending on the outside temperature sensors or the timer set on them.
