The Termofor stove for home and bathhouses: characteristics, installation. Reviews of wood-burning sauna stoves "Termofor"

Customer reviews about stoves

On the forums you can read very different reviews about Termofor stoves, but most of them are positive. Some of them:

“And I like my Angara stove. We are on Normal for the 2nd year. We heat with peat briquettes, it’s very warm and there’s not a lot of fuss with the stove.”

Bath stoves Termofor
——————

“We bought a MERANO stove (imported) for the house, and a GEYSER bathhouse, they are the same price. Both the house and the bathhouse are approximately the same area (5x5 and 6x4). So, the Thermofor GEYSER heats the room twice as fast, I regret that I bought such a stove for the house (I thought since it was imported, it was better)! The beauty of the stove is not the only advantage! Let’s see how it shows itself over time!”

——————

“I decided to share my impressions. I have a Termofor sauna stove. I recently bought it for a sauna, it’s called Vitruvia. It’s probably hard to call it a stove anymore, because it’s very sophisticated. However, the 21st century... It has a very large screen built into it, it’s convenient to watch the combustion and it’s just beautiful. Diagonal 58 cm! It does not darken, it practically does not even need to be wiped (convenient for lazy people and bachelors). The stove heats up very quickly - a steam room is what you need. In appearance, it fits perfectly into a sauna. The stove itself is small, as I chose for my cubic meters.”

—————

“Do you have a strange smell when firing the stove? I myself recently bought, not this one, but from a different manufacturer. Now I’m thinking: will it fade or not?”

@Alkard The strange smell is the machine oils that are used to lubricate everything at the factory. I had an odor the first time I used it. Then there were no problems.

Reading reviews about Termofor stoves, you understand that for the most part customers are satisfied with the choice.

Heating stoves

The main task of these devices is to heat rooms as quickly and efficiently as possible. As mentioned above, it is carried out not only by the method of heat transfer, but also by air convection.

These devices are also called Butakov furnaces. It was this professor-engineer who developed this design, which turned an ordinary potbelly stove into a high-tech device.

Apparatus with water circuit

Furnaces with water circuit

The Termofor heating stove with a water circuit is a boiler that allows you to use water heating in your home. This device is an excellent choice for owners of large country houses. After all, no matter how effective convection stoves are, water heating provides uniform heating in all rooms of the house.

The main difference between boilers and the stoves described above is the presence of a water circuit. Otherwise, they have all the listed advantages.

Construction of the Termofor heating and cooking stove

Heating and cooking stoves

As you might guess, these units are designed not only for heating rooms, but also for cooking. Therefore, they are equipped with a cast-iron or glass-ceramic stove, which can be designed for one or two pans.

Today, the most popular is the Yauza model, which has become an indispensable assistant for many summer residents and owners of country houses. Like all Termofor stoves, it has an attractive appearance and can serve as a kitchen decoration.

Construction and operation

Firebox

One of the main elements of a sauna stove. The service life of the device and its efficiency depend on its durability and proper design. Termofor sauna stoves have fireboxes made of special heat-resistant steel containing chromium, which was previously used only in the aircraft industry.

The material makes it possible to retain heat for a long time, increasing the efficiency of the sauna stove significantly. The principle of double combustion is also used here, which allows you to heat the steam room to the required temperature in a matter of minutes.

In winter, the Termofor sauna stove can bring the temperature in the steam room to 100˚C in about 1 hour, in summer – in just over half an hour. The air quickly and gently warms up in the steam room and in other rooms of the bathhouse.

Convector casing

Termofor bath stoves are equipped with a convector casing, a device designed to protect the body from the harsh effects of infrared radiation that comes from the firebox. Thanks to free circulation, warm air dynamically and evenly heats the steam room, creating a comfortable and cozy atmosphere.

Kamenka

The design of the Termofor bath stove includes:

It is allowed to use stones with a total weight of 25-100 kg. The use of an external fuel channel on some models allows you to add fuel and maintain the temperature from the steam room and from adjacent rooms. The price of stoves depends on many factors and is in the range of 7,000-48,000 rubles.

Oven door

The Termofor sauna stove protects the skin of steamers during its use. It is equipped with a self-cooling design for its combustion door, which is unique in its kind. You can observe the combustion process through heat-resistant glass.

Application

The water tank is different for each model. For example, it can be installed directly at the base of the sauna chimney or connected to the stove with a heat exchanger.

In both cases they are made exclusively from stainless steel. If the installation is done correctly, the water in the tank will never boil and will remain at a constant temperature of 90-95˚C.

Rules for installing a stove and chimney

Before correctly installing the Termofor sauna stove, you need to study SNiP 41-01-2003.

The instructions describe in detail how to protect the premises from accidental fire:

Tip: leave at least 500mm between the top of the chimney and the ceiling. Insulate it with material that can withstand high temperatures. This way you can avoid the accumulation of condensation in it.

Installation of a stove and chimney from Termofor

If the stove suddenly starts smoking, check:

Tip: make sure that the chimney does not have horizontal sections or sharp bends. Remember, the elbow of the sauna stove should not rest against the wall of the chimney.

The amount of air in the room is also important. This is especially important when the steam room has sealed doors and windows.

When the installation of the stove in the Termofor bath is completed, it is recommended that the first fire be carried out with an open steam room. Then the smell of burning oil residues can disappear faster.

Features of Termofor stoves

General information

Everyone knows what potbelly stoves are. It is these simple devices that are the prototype of modern Termofor stoves.

Moreover, the latter are available in several types:

  • Heating stoves with a water circuit;
  • Stoves for baths and saunas;
  • Heating and cooking stoves.

Diagram of the heating furnace

Despite the fact that all these devices have some design features, they work on the same principle and, accordingly, have much in common:

  • They operate on wood; in addition, Euro briquettes and pellets can be used as fuel.
  • Thanks to the special design, firewood can burn for quite a long time and burns completely to the state of ash.
  • Convection pipes pass through the combustion chamber, which provide rapid heating of rooms by convection.
  • Thanks to large removable grates, the maximum amount of oxygen enters the combustion chamber. In addition, the ash does not linger in the combustion chamber, but falls freely into the ash pan. Thus, operating and maintaining ovens with your own hands is not difficult at all.
  • The firebox follows the shape of the flame, resulting in uniform heating of the surface.
  • The internal surface of the combustion chamber is finished with fireproof chamotte, which increases the durability of the product.
  • Thanks to the special design, maximum fire safety is ensured, as well as improved heat transfer.
  • All devices have an attractive modern appearance and compact dimensions. Thanks to this, the structure can be installed in any room of a residential building or cottage. The only thing is that certain safety measures must be observed.

Furnace design

Termofor units are designed for certain climatic conditions - i.e. designed for fairly cold and harsh winters and hot summers. These stoves passed rigorous tests and were liked by both casual bathhouse visitors and regulars.

We offer you detailed instructional brochures for each of the stoves produced by this company for your review. They describe the design, operating principle, and installation features for these stoves:

The fireboxes of Termofor sauna stoves are made of special heat-resistant steel, which was previously used only in the aviation industry. Chromium steel retains heat better, due to which the efficiency of the device increases significantly. The double combustion system used in thermal units allows you to almost instantly heat the steam room to the desired temperature.

To warm up the steam room to a temperature of 100°C in winter, owners of Termofor stoves spend from 50 to 70 minutes; in summer, you can start steaming after 30 to 40 minutes. The heaters quickly and gently raise the temperature in all rooms of the bathhouse.

Construction of the Termofor furnace.

Hard infrared radiation emanating from the firebox is extinguished using a convector casing. Circulating flows of warm air dynamically warm up the steam room. This creates an atmosphere of soft and comfortable warmth.

The Termofor sauna stove consists of a pyramidal open or closed heater of sufficiently large volume, in which the stones are heated on five sides, a light thin-walled firebox made of high-alloy steel, a convector casing, a samovar tank or a heat exchanger.

The minimum number of stones is 25 kg, the maximum is 100 kg. You can maintain the desired temperature in the firebox without entering the steam room itself - this is possible thanks to the remote fuel channel in some models.

The self-cooling door has a unique design that allows the bathhouse owner to protect the skin from burns. And if you install a door with heat-resistant glass on the stove, you can control the combustion process or simply admire the fire.

Termofor stoves are designed for baths and saunas with a volume of 4 to 24 cubic meters. They not only warm up the steam room, but also heat adjacent rooms, heat water and provide high-quality steam. Installation of the water tank depends on the stove model. for some models, the samovar tank for hot water is installed in the center, on the base of the chimney. This simplifies its operation. In other models, a heat exchanger with a remote tank is installed. All water containers are made of stainless steel. If the system is used correctly, the water in the tanks never boils, but heats up to a temperature of 90-95°C.

"Aurora"

There is an inspection hole in the back wall of the oven, covered with heat-resistant glass. Through it, from the steam room you can observe the intensity of combustion. The wood-burning model for baths, “Geyser” , perfectly performs the function of a steam generator in rooms up to 18 m³. Living steam, so highly valued by Russian bath lovers, is created in a closed heater, heated from all sides. Silicone enamel reliably protects this stove from corrosion, and fire-resistant glass makes it possible to admire the play of fire.

Following the wishes of customers, manufacturers released the Urengoy stove , which uses natural gas. This model is an analogue of the affordable Compact oven. During operation, manufacturers strongly recommend using heating only when there are no people in the steam room.

The most suitable modification of the stove for a public sauna or bathhouse is “Kalina” . Chromium steel combined with a sophisticated heat exchanger allows this stove to serve large spaces. The presence of a large heating tank (up to 75 liters) makes this model optimal for commercial use. It is also equipped with a wide fire-resistant screen, which allows you to contemplate the beauty of fire.

"Angara 2012" - design features and reviews

This stove has a decent firebox volume - 40 liters. Made of heat-resistant steel. Designed for a steam room from 8 to 18 cubic meters. It has many modifications with different combustion inlets and body colors. The heater is a closed type, heats the stones up to 600°C. During steam formation, water enters the hottest part of the heater through a steel tube, to the end of which a funnel is welded for convenience.

Additionally, the stones are located at the top, in the open part. You can add water with aromatic oils to them. It is useless to do this on the stones of an internal heater - the temperature is such that everything instantly decomposes into its components, and there will be no aromas in the air (it may be burnt, a little air will be released if you pour a lot of oils).

The stove can be heated with wood or converted to gas. Its high strength is due to the precise calculation of thermal loads and thick sheet materials with a high percentage of chromium.

User reviews

Customer reviews for the Angara 2012 stove are also mostly positive:

“Beauty, there’s nothing to say! But my steam room is about 28 cubic meters. It takes longer to heat and when washing I continue to heat continuously. But I can live, I’m happy!”

Features of operation

Termofor sauna stoves exist in three categories - economy class, middle class and premium class. The assortment of the manufacturing company pleases not only the eye and soul of an avid bathhouse attendant, but also the wallet. Termofor produces very small and inexpensive stoves for small home baths and fairly large units.

The choice of stove depends, first of all, on the size of the bath. If the steam room is very small, for example, in a home bath, and is combined with a shower, a small oven of the Osa or Compact model will do. These economy class units can be installed in steam rooms with a volume of 9 cubic meters or more.

For owners of bathhouses up to 18 cubic meters in size and lovers of moderate steam in the steam room and hot stones, the developers have created the Hangar model. This stove with a double compartment for stones creates the atmosphere of a real Russian bathhouse. The creators of Termofor heating units also took care of those who like to do everything with their own hands. Every fan of the bath business can assemble the Biryusa model stove with the help of instructions. It's double pleasure!

The volume of the heater of premium devices (40 l) allows you to lay about 100 kg of stones and heat a steam room measuring 30 cubic meters. Premium stoves are like the Rolls-Royce of cars. Size, luxury, great design, functionality, huge firebox glass...

The length and diameter of the chimney also depend on the size and power of the stove. The diameter of the pipe ranges from 115-140 mm, and the height - from 3 to 5 meters.

"Geyser 2014"

Geyser is a sauna stove for a Russian steam room. A two-stage steam generation system has been specially developed. There are two heaters in the oven. The water is fed into a small internal heater where it turns into hot but heavy steam. Under high pressure, this steam enters the second heater, where it is dried, and in this form - dry and light - it enters the steam room. To prevent too much water from entering the heater, a dosing valve is built into the funnel.

Such ovens are designed for steam rooms of 8-18 m3 and are made of heat-resistant alloy steel. The 40 liter firebox is reinforced in areas of greatest load, which allows for longer service life.

Sauna stove Termofor Teyser

The Geyser 2014 stove receives reviews even more often than other models. Some of them:

“I'm glad I didn't make a mistake in my choice! Steam and heat are what you need! The water also has time to warm up. It took me a long time to collect stones for the heater; it’s not an easy task. I invite everyone to the bathhouse!”

———

“I think it would be worth buying an imported stove, but I’m not free with money. So I settled on the Thermofor Geyser. While still new, everything is chick-chick in the steam room. We heat it on weekends, and other times during the week.”

Installation of a sauna stove without helpers

Installation recommendations from Termofor
Each Termofor oven includes detailed installation instructions. And it is highly advisable to adhere to all recommendations: a sauna stove is a potential source of danger. There could be a fire, you could get burned or get burned. And all this is due to incorrect installation.

First you need to decide whether your furnace requires a foundation. If the joists and floorboard are strong enough, and you are not going to make a brick screen around the stove, you can do without a foundation. Then you need to lay a steel sheet on the floor boards, the size of which is 30 cm larger than the size of the stove in all directions. It is advisable to take galvanized metal, ideally stainless steel.

As you can see, there are no insurmountable obstacles to installing the Termofor sauna stove. Only, it is advisable to lay one or two rows of bricks, ceramic tiles, asbestos sheets, basalt cardboard, etc. under the sheet of metal. Although the floor from the stove does not heat up as much as nearby walls, it is better to protect it carefully.

Installing a stove with a remote firebox is somewhat more difficult. It is important to remember that it is unacceptable to leave an elongated firebox in a wall made of logs without additional thermal insulation! At the point where the firebox exits into the dressing room, a cut-out is made in the logs of the partition so that the distance from the firebox and stove body to the wooden elements is at least 0.4 m. The free opening in the partition is filled with brickwork. Additionally, the tree will have to be protected from high temperatures with a layer of heat-resistant thermal insulation (use temperature no less than 800-1000oC).

Fire safety requirements must be met by passing the pipe through the ceiling. Termofor recommends using sandwich pipes - they are currently the best option: inexpensive, have good characteristics and are quite durable. In addition, sand or slag is added around the pipe in the attic. All other elements of the installation are no longer vital - connecting the water supply, laying out the heater.

Rules for installing a stove and chimney

Before correctly installing the Termofor sauna stove, you need to study SNiP 41-01-2003.

The instructions describe in detail how to protect the premises from accidental fire:

  • place a metal sheet on the floor with your own hands in front of the fire door;
  • decorate the wall adjacent to the stove with a 25 mm thick metal mesh or a metal sheet with asbestos cardboard;
  • from the combustion door to the wall the distance should be 1250 mm or more.

Tip: leave at least 500mm between the top of the chimney and the ceiling. Insulate it with material that can withstand high temperatures. This way you can avoid the accumulation of condensation in it.

Installation of a stove and chimney from Termofor

We recommend: Modern heating systems for private houses, the latest technologies

If the stove suddenly starts smoking, check:

  • whether the chimney umbrella is not closed;
  • whether the top point of the pipe is located below the ridge of the roof;
  • how the chimney of the bathhouse is insulated, and whether heating appliances or other stoves are connected to it.

Competition between Termofor and Teplodar

On the domestic market, the main competitor of the products is ]Teplodar[/anchor]. When choosing between these manufacturers, the buyer must be aware that any competition between suppliers of furnaces and boilers is beneficial for him. Of course, when competing for the sales market, companies improve the quality of their products and constantly modernize them.

Nobody dares to categorically answer the question of which is better: “Teplodar” or “Termofor”. It’s just that some qualities of products from one company will exceed similar parameters from another, and vice versa. The choice will be up to the client.
