Design features of PROMETHEUS boilers

Loading chamber design

Fuel is supplied to the loading chamber manually. One load of fuel ensures long burning, from 8 to 12 hours. Slow heating of the upper layers of fuel helps to significantly reduce the moisture in it, which ultimately helps to increase the efficiency of the boiler.

Ignition of fuel

The fuel is ignited manually. The ignition valve located in the upper part of the heat exchanger at this time opens manually until it stops. This reduces aerodynamic drag when removing smoke, which ultimately leads to increased thrust. Pre-heating of the heat exchanger chamber lasts 10-15 minutes, thus the ignition process in the combustion chamber proceeds faster, after which the damper must be closed, and the boiler goes into operating mode, characterized by the optimal rate of fuel combustion.

Grate

The grate is equipped with a manual shaking lever for cleaning the grate passages. This allows you not to interrupt the operation of the PROMETHEUS boiler. The resulting ash, after shaking, enters the ash box, thereby normalizing it by blowing air into the boiler. The grate is made of cast iron and consists of several elements. Therefore, if necessary, you can replace not the entire grille at once, but only its individual parts.

Boiler materials

The boiler heat exchanger is made of alloyed heat-resistant steel (boiler steel) 4 mm thick. The working life of such steel is more than a million hours of continuous operation under the influence of high temperatures. In areas exposed to the highest temperatures, fireclay bricks are located, which can withstand temperatures up to 1800 degrees Celsius. This prevents burnout of the heat exchanger and the top cover of the boiler.

Autonomy

The PROMETHEUS boiler control system is independent of power sources. Using an automatic thermostat, the air damper opens and closes, thanks to which the heating temperature is maintained according to the specified parameters. A supply pipe with a diameter of up to 50 cm allows the use of PROMETHEUS solid fuel boilers in a heating system with natural and forced circulation. Pressure and temperature sensors built into the front panel allow you to monitor important parameters of the heating system.

Areas of use of solid fuel boilers

PROMETHEUS boilers can be successfully used for any type of infrastructure due to their ease of use, ease of maintenance and energy autonomy. The boilers are suitable for use in both forced circulation and natural heating systems. PROMETHEUS boilers are an economical, efficient and reliable source of heating created for Russian operating conditions.

Choosing a boiler for your home

To decide which model of solid fuel unit is best suited for your home, first of all, you need to choose the type of fuel. It can be hard or brown coal, firewood, pellets. Sometimes it is advisable to use another energy source, such as electricity, as an emergency or additional source.

Gas generator boilers Prometheus Eco

The use of pellets or brown coal allows for a high level of automation of the boiler operation and reduces the frequency of approaches to it for loading to once every 5-7 days. For use in regions where there is no possibility of connecting to the power grid or where there are frequent power outages, you should choose non-volatile models.

The power of the Prometheus boiler is chosen based on the area of the house and its heat loss. If you make calculations according to all the rules, you need to take into account the heat loss of all surfaces based on their resistance to heat transfer. This indicator can be found in construction reference books.

In this case, it is necessary to take into account the minimum winter temperatures. The boiler power should replenish the heat loss of the house, but should not significantly exceed it. For an approximate calculation, you can use the ratio of 1 kW per 10 m2 of area with a ceiling height of no more than 3 m.

Advice! For economical fuel consumption, it is necessary to ensure high-quality thermal insulation of all surfaces bordering the external space. The main heat losses occur through windows and roofing. The walls and foundation also need to be insulated.
